Messaging System Malfunction

Thanks everyone, I scrolled down to a Dec. of last year and found them. One of the profiles with messages is one we have blocked also.

Yes, 18 PK’s messages from 2018.

And we thought we had a whole bunch of potential admirers......

We just had what seems to be all of our old deleted IMS restored. We found them due to the fact that we showed 3 new messages. They're all old messages that we're deleted long ago.

Some are even from blocked folks which makes me concerned that the blocks were somehow removed????

We have a red 4 on our messege bar. There are NO NEW MESSEGES

Figured it out. The red 5 was old messages from long ago. Some from people we have blocked. Again, people who don’t want their hot date to be seen by couples are taken more seriously that people who are blocked. Some of you may not know this, but blocked people can see if you are signed up for a party, event, etc.

We have a red 5 and no new messages.
Perhaps those messageS are from people that don’t want to get a reply from couples. Thus we can’t see them...LOL

Just had an influx of "new" messages from people we have blocked in the past. Messages were months old.

AandK, we have the same problem on ours that just came up today, red 5 but no new messages.

have a red "4" next to my Messages button... no messages to be found.....

There is not a word in the dictionary to describe this website lately. One thing for sure.
There is Not another swing website with as many issues as SLS.

BREAKING NEWS:
Due to the recent SLS upgrade it has become necessary for all of membership to go out and upgrade their computer operating system.

Just tried 6 times to get messages. Each time we got the "'YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY MESSAGES' notice.
Oh well, so much for getting back to the people we ""Thought "" we might meet this week-end.

Did run a process check and called a friend who tried to access their Messages. They got the same response as we did.

But, they keep telling us. This is New, and Improved way to communicate with others.
Ya just gotta believe what the experts tell Ya. Right ?

Will just sign out rather than fight the battle and look for a movie to go see this week-end instead

Message service is running slower than cold molasses.
You cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. This is a sad state of affairs here at SLS.

Now I am chatting with someone, and their replies do not appear until I back out and return. Further, the red dot appears only sporadically, with a random number showing.

so in other words, the customers should find ‘work-arounds’ for the numerous bugs, glitches, and malfunctions within this site; instead of having responsible site designers and engineers come up with permanent solutions to the problems.

When your lines get mixed up like that, just hit the backup arrow at upper left, then reopen the particular conversation. No need to log out or restart.

Just log off and restart your browser!

If that doesn't work, restart windows! Restart your computer! Clear your cache and saved password's! Reinstall windows!

Yeah, happens to me most of the time. Makes it tough to have a coherent conversation.

As noted, the fix is to send your response and back out of the conversation. Insert eyeroll here.
