How do you turn off the IM?

Mine is all green all the time so I can't tell who is on. Hope that works out. I also would like it if it opened in a smaller window like before. Now message box in half covered by my tool bar and I can't see what I am typing. My typing skills are bad enough without being able to edit LOL

They REALLY need to restore the function that hitting Enter sends your message. Now it does nothing, and you have to mouse over to the Send button.

it would be nice/beneficial if pics could be exchanged via the IM... other than that, its really just another mail ap that works almost the same as their regular mail ap

The SLS IM has always sucked donkey balls. If we want to IM that's what Skype is for.

Come on SLS bit the bullet and go back to the previous version. No shame in admitting you messed up.

Mine seems to be working reasonably well now - go figure!

The elusive old, unread message eventually popped up so was able to delete that and get rid of the annoying red number. I did
reboot my laptop several times lately (mostly because it's an old laptop that gets its brains scrambled regularly) - not sure if that has anything to do with why IM is now working for me.

And the most amazing thing is that very few single guys are sending the ever popular "hi" message! I must be going something wrong...

Are the cams in IM gone now or am I doing something wrong as I dont see the option to cam there.

I have been a member since 2011. (Couple, then single) New profile is with my new partner. In all this time, the website has not improved one bit. They remade it a few years ago, but it was the same guts, just a new face that was shockingly aged the day it came out. Mail system is awful, IM is bad, there are no meaningful attributes on profiles, search is too generic, on and on. So what do they do next to "improve" things? How about giving other members the right to annoy you and intrude anytime they want? Yep, sounds about right.

If this wasn't the only game in town, I'd be gone. But lets face it, there is nothing else out there. Trying to find real swingers on other sites is like trying to find good seafood at a diner.

Has anyone been having problems with the IM

As frequent IM users, we liked the "Decline Politely" button when we received IM's from people we were not looking to communicate with (like single males). It was nice to respond with one click.

The IM feature I want back is that when I hit "enter" my message is sent. This was how it worked initially, but no longer. I have to take the mouse and click the "send" button each time. Its really annoying. Fix this please!

It appears that IM is again working and when I go to "Who's On" it looks like it now only lists people that are actually on. In the past I think it also listed people that were on recently but weren't actually on at that particular time.

Now, if they could only get the "doorbell" sound to work when someone is trying to contact you it would be great. Otherwise, unless someone is actively looking at their screen versus just being logged in and close by, they don't know that someone is trying to IM them.

Anyone figure out how to change or add to the photos that are available to send via Message?

On Chrome, it isn't flashing. Like the red gumby at upper left, next to the red word 'sexual'. Now that flapping yellow bird is another matter.

I'm not in the least OCD (one of my family members has OCD, so that is certain), but that red notice on my screen? No. Just no. It's like having my sweater tugged. And, yeah, I have to read everything too, until all the red numbers are gone.

I am confused. If you don't use your IM, how do you know that you are getting lots of IM's?
If you don't open it, there's just a red dot on your screen with a number. How does that bother you?
As soon as you scroll down to something, you don't even see the red dot.

njny, my first thought was that your spammer was afflicted with malfunctioning IM and not aware of barrage he was sending. Because, you know, it usually takes a while to work the bugs out of software that isn't tested before rollouts.

It's okay, Mrs. 888 and myself got our chuckle in.

Here's a good one. The new messages button sometimes reverts to the old style IM button when you're on the Who's On pages. It appears to work correctly in the new IM module.

Weird.

We have received mail. Its still functional.

Well pretty sure this site is not working properly anymore we haven't had a email all week and maybe one person views our profile a day, we use to get mail all the time and viewed all the time
