Pineapples

I want to start going to that bakery!

I went to one of my fav bakeries today to grab breakfast; the manager lady who knows what I want and just immediately fixes it when I walk in handed me my usual (2 jalapeño sausage rolls) and then asked me if I liked “upside down pineapple cake”
I paused for a moment as she caught me off guard and then I said “I absolutely love it”. She responded with “would you like one of my muffins?” Still being a tad bit off guard I said “sure”. She boxed one up and when I got to my truck I opened it up to find an upside down muffin with caramelized pineapple on the top of it and a slip of paper with her name and phone number on it.
I guess it can payoff every now and then she you flirt with ladies and drop little hints about the life style. I’ll be writing a sexy story after we see how this weekend goes, she’ll be here Saturday afternoon for drinks by the pool with the wife and I……..

While looking for swim trunks, it seems pineapple patterns are somewhat common. The pineapples are oriented various ways though so not sure that wearing them would prove fruitful.

I don't know if any of it really works....I have the pins on hats and license plate frame and no one anywhere has mentioned anything about it

Upside down pineapples are a good start, add some nice smooth long zucchini, you could even stand them up next to the pineapple. How obvious is that? Oh the fun!!

Pineapples have been a traditional symbol of hospitality in England, the Caribbean, and the American South. Upside down pineapples denote extremely hospitable folks.

I know it's early in the season, the pineapples are a little green, as are some people. Relax, put a smile on your face, if there's a smile returned...maybe even a green pineapple will work. If it's an ice breaker, well you can go from there. Let your fantasy grow. What's the worst thing that can happen? Nothing. Sooo, it's not the first time and it wouldn't be the last. But somewhere between.....smile, enjoy.

BINGO! My quiet, introverted (?) wife went into the grocery store for a "few" items while I waited in the car. I thought she was taking a lot of time for just a "few" items. However, as it turned out, she had felt mischievous and had put a pineapple (upside down) in her cart. As she slowly (as she called it) went up and down several isles, she kept "bumping" into the same gentleman. I thought she had been taking to much time when my phone rang. There was someone she wanted me to meet. We did, and yep, we did. But not until I loaded her groceries in the trunk. Good thing there was nothing that needed the frig. Good time was had by all. Especially as a single guy, I'd NEVER approach a couple in a vanilla situation. Sounds like I'd just be looking for trouble.

At an LS event however, that's a different situation entirely.

I've seen a few in this area but have never been approached by anyone; I've made some comments to a few folks but it never went anywhere.

I have only seen one bumper sticker and wasn't sure who owned it. I think it was the German lady who owned the motel we were at. Just wasn't sure

The meaning aside has anyone ever been approached or drawn attention? Same about the SLS pins, hats, bumper stickers, etc....just curious

Pineapples in the grocery cart, how to avoid the unwanted, merely state that it's upside down to keep from getting pricked (don't laugh) every time you put something in the cart, and above all, keep a straight face. Yea. Now, Halloween is coming up, surely something creative can be conjured up with a pineapple, or a leering pumpkin? Good project. Report back. We all enjoy a good project.

We're heading for Hedo in 10 days. we'll be placing a pineapple outside out door, upside down, as a test........ Looking forward to interesting results.... ;-)

I can't help but think of a little old lady putting her pineapple in her cart and it falls over upside down and then she gets lots of giggles and grins.
