I see it being a great tool for SLS to put advertisements right there in front of us, thus allowing them to charge more for said advertisement........ it’s nice they are deciding what we the member really want and need
We’re now receiving friend requests from VIP members/event operators. So does that mean that wall will be another outlet for party/event/clubs advertising?
What are the chances that "Your Wall" posts become moderated in the near future? I mean you can't even update your profile text without it being re-approved again just in case you mention kik or whatever -- so how will the wall posts magically be different? How can you have add "social" profile features as an update on a site where there is a constant nannying of whatever content you post?

Could you please remove "The Wall" from the homepage, or give us an option to disable?
It can be easily accessed by your sidebar button if people want to see it.
Here's an idea that never happens here. Roll out a new feature but just to mess with the members, don't install all the functionality of the feature. Give them things like a "hide" button or an "X" that don't work. Then laugh at all the complaints we get.
When will the hide function be available? This guy on my wall is kind of creeping me out.

Ours is a 50/50 mix of folks telling folks to stay safe and others looking for quick hook ups right now.
At least we know who's following guidance and who isn't.
@MandC our wall is the same and we are probably on your wall with a post like that. That being said we've seen increased views and messages since the wall post.
Right now my Wall is dominated by posts from people telling us all that they are not meeting anyone during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We believe you will lose all history when you turn it off
We are not fans of the “wall”. Maybe it will take figuring out its value. In the meantime it just seems annoying and takes us screen space.
We see about 7 posts. Two from one guy we have no interest in and three or four from a free member! Are we now allowing free members more access to the site? We would prefer making access MORE restrictive to free members and make them join in order to post and communicate. We are tired of the “just seeing how this works” people accessing the resources without committing. I understand hesitation to join when your unsure of a site. I get it. But a months fee is a pretty cheap trial.
@AandJ, duh...thanks! but, if you disable Who Viewed Me, do we lose all the profiles who viewed us, even if we revert back to "on"? M
AND...what's with the "Bad Request - Invalid URL, HTTP Error 400. The request URL is invalid"? very annoying.
It's even easier than that.
On your homepage, click the hear icon on the top right of the WVM window. You can disable it from there.
@AandJ, am I losing it or what, but I can't find how to turn the "who viewed me" feature on or off. It's not in the Tools - Privacy - or Tools - Preferences section. Can you check and post? Thanks! M

You can turn off the who viewed me feature. Which means you won't see who viewed your profile and no one will see the you looked at theirs.
What do you mean by having your "view" off?

I'm still not sure why a Hot Date is not visible to us because we do not match someone's relationship or age request, but wall posts from people who do not match ours are visible to us. To be perfectly honest, we don't have any interest in what a 29 year old single male posts on the wall.
We turned the WVM off because we were tired of people thinking a view means we were interested.

Meaning anyone can go stealth mode and perv to their hearts delight without any knowledge or possibly any use to those being "spied" on.
Yes I realize spying is a strong term after all people are here to be seen. However one can be walking around in the buff at a camp and still have some creep lurking in the bushes.
I would rather someone walk by visually scan me up and down unashamedly that have the creep in the bushes.
I do not care if they do not want to know who looks at them. I do care that I am denied the knowledge.
It sounds like we are encouraging stalkers.
They are NOT posting on YOUR wall. They are posting on a PUBLIC wall. It is showing up because they are within 50 miles of you.
Anything you see is public. It isn't for you. Lots of people are seeing the same thing you are.
