Messaging not working

Yup, crapped out on us this morning. Composed and sent the message, but what was sent = "null"

This is not a random occurrence. It is multiple times daily and it is daily. Copy so you can paste and you may not need it. Don't copy and you will hate yourself for not.
You also have to hit the send button in the center. Some edge touches used to work. Not no mo. ?? it is overly frustrating.

Anyone else having trouble with messages today? It's been hit or miss. Worked fine this morning but now in the afternoon not so much, just the centipede going round and round...

easynfree - If you are using Windows, Ctrl-A, Clrl-C and Ctrl-V are your friends, they will select all of the text in your current page segment, copy it into a buffer, and paste it into another Window respectively.

I don't always use them either. You shouldn't have to, but if writing more than a couple of lines, it can save you some aggravation

Always, ALWAYS copy to clipboard any message before sending. It’s required unless you like re-typing them.

Getting very tired of writing out large messages only to have them disappear after hitting send, who knows where the hell they go. Thx SLS!

We recieved a new message just this morning, and I can't open it. When I try to open it, or even older ones we already have it takes me to a new message compose page. What gives?

Same here, but it remains amazing to me that a site who's entire purpose is connecting people cannot maintain a reliable messaging system for people to connect with, and refuses to listen to the people trying to connect on what would add value.

Gotcha Mayhem … I think the frustration lies in the fact that literally nothing ever actually gets fixed while more stops working while putting very vague rules and restrictions upon the membership. We of all people want this site to thrive and succeed.

ItalianGinger - I didn't lose a message I typed in. I couldn't read new ones that people sent me. The ticket was just more to let them know it was broke, which they already knew.

I agree though that it is never a bad idea to throw a message that's more than a line or 2 into the paste buffer. A quick Ctrl-A to select it and Ctrl-c to save it, at least that's what it is for Windows.

Your HAVE to get in the habit of copying the text to clipboard BEFORE hitting send. It just saved me again as a very long reply to a couple vanished into SLS limbo upon sending. I was able to paste and resend. You can try support tickets but I’ve yet to see a single thing fixed in the last two years from submitting them so we’ve pretty much stopped. We always get answers like can duplicate issue and it must be on your end or my favorite of that was fixed with the last update.

I created a ticket for the same thing this morning. It now appears to be working, at least for me.

Ok. So it isn't just me!! Its always something with this site! Wish we could still post contact info in the profiles!

messaing is showing we have two messages, but when i click on the profile to open them, it takes me to a blank compose page. WTF SLS?

Keep up the good work. All my messages have disappeared. Still have contacts, but no conversations.

While it may not be recommended, you can in chat. You just can't post something on your profile or in a Hot Date. If we are going to meet someone, we absolutely want to exchange cell numbers first in case anything comes up last minute on either end.

It has been an intermittent problem for years now. Need to remember to copy it before you send, but hey, isn't that how technology is supposed to work in 2022? :/

SLS has a great database of swingers. Beyond that, it is pathetic.

This isn't a new problem. They need to fix it or discount our membership as not being able to consistently provide the features they say we can use. So Fin tired of it!

OHC - That is annoying. I've lost some myself. Once I get more than a paragraph or 2 I try to remember to do a Ctrl-C to capture the chat in the paste buffer. It has saved me a couple times, but more often than not I just forget to do it.

Just wrote a long message to a couple using the app and sure as shit it disappeared. WTF when are you going to get this fixed. You have no problem processing my cc every time I need to renew my membership. How about spending some of the money and get this crap fixed!
