The (Captain) obvious irony in all of this is that the whole purpose of SLS is for swingers to connect with other swingers, and Messaging is how they do that.. It doesn't get more "core functionality" than that.

Just responded to a couple on messenger. Poofs it is gone. Did it again and it posted.

Now WHAT is wrong with the site? Back to being unable to read messages without going back to message page?!?

Seems to be OK now @ 1PM. Hopefully they will get the site fixed and back to "normal" so we can get back to checking out and posting hot dates. - M

Our messages still take numerous attempts most times to go through. Sometimes the first send works, but I'd say on average we have to paste the copied text twice. In one case we tried 5 times to no avail, then sent a brief trying to message which went through and then after that the pasted message went through.

Just sent about a dozen or more messages not long ago. Each went through on the first attempt.

Anyone else having trouble sending messages this morning? I typed a message, copied it for good measure, pressed send and "poof!" gone. Pasted again, and again, and again but they won't go, just keeps disappearing :( -M

This is really frustrating. Just paid for 3 months to be able to view messages and chat with ppl, and none of it works. Can't view messages on the website. Can't even log in on the app.

The site was super slow earlier today. Definitely had something going on.

@3sCompany,, We agree. My subscription is about to expire. Thinking of not even renewing AFF works a lot better.

can not even submit a Techsupport ticket to inform them the site is having issues. seems like this site is now only for browsing pics and NOT for hooking up.

Try to open a message, and it says recipients name at the top

can't check messages, go to chats or check hotdates.

Can only see my message list.cant open any of them. Or send any new messages. This site is really getting shitty lately.

I can not even open up my messages. Grrrr.....

Clicked on a message this AM not working spun around 4 times IM never showed up!

@2much ... yep, same here when we have the issue. Same message pasted several times until it goes through

I don't think the problem is in the wording of a lost message.

The same message, copied and pasted, eventually goes through after multiple attempts.

Believe me Mayhem, we do. But on occasion we’ll get a quick message or reply to an event posting so it would be much easier to just reply here. Our long term couples and friends we’ve moved to more personal contacts such as direct phone.

Just us, but if we were having those sorts of problems we'd likely switch to some other non-SLS form of communication. Especially if it were people we met and were planning to meet soon. We usually exchange cell #'s before meeting someone, just in case.

Part of the problem is also this unknown selection of blacklisted keywords. I’m so e cases after a fourth or fifth retry we’ll have to start rewording the message to see if that’s what’s causing it. Bottom line is basic messaging should not be the difficult. Generally it goes through after two or three attempts without rewording. If it takes more than that we have to assume that something in the system is preventing it and just send a snippet or summary message.

I haven't had the problem lately, but I also haven't been sending out much in the way of messages since i relocated back to CA. In the past, I've had the problem pop up fairly regularly, but that was largely when I was still in Texas.

<p>Have you also had this issue? I have been trying to track the reports and the large majority of people reporting this are in California and the North East - New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey. Bascially, states that are physically far away from the servers in South Florida.</p>
