Again, it's not being communicated as such but it seems obvious that this is a change being done to support the App, or is at least tied to it.
SLS is betting the bank on the App being what drives future membership/revenue, as far as I can tell.

Click the 'Heart' icon on the hot date page and you will see a list of your hot dates. You can delete them from there. Due to FOSTA, hot dates are moderated so any edits have to go back through the approval process, so to edit a hot date, delete it and resubmit a new one. If you need to tweek something, copy the old hot date, delete it and paste it back in to a new entry and adjust it.

Due to the date range filtering I can see this driving members to "reverse age" ;-)
Wayne, is, or will there be a way to modify or delete an exitsting Hot Date? If there's a way, it's not really obvious.

"This was mine... Hi, Thanks for your email, actually all upgrades are tested and work fine, but the testing was on the back end and worked properly, however when put into production there is a difference when millions are trying to use it, that is why we had to launch it to see how it will work in the population, they will be working all the bugs out now that they know what they are.. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we will work hard to make sure the bugs are all worked out, thanks again and have a great week. Rick (SLS) 10/14/2019"
Maybe you haven't noticed but the issue isn't with bugs, it's with basic functionality.
the mail needs to be mail, not a form of messaging and the dates need to be for everyone to see each other. if someone wants to block you or your relationship status let them do that on their own. There are people that list a preference but often will not follow it, so why should we let a math equation do that for us.

We did update the hot date calendar to only include Dates. You can open it up to include week, month or today. You will only see dates that match the member's preferences for that hot date which is their profile preferences. Your initial default view is only 50 miles from your home location. Click on Change Location and select a longer distance to get more results. Please remember this could also be due to preferences by the member posting the hot date which would restrict your results. If you scroll down you will see "To view Events, click here." or you can get to the events via the homepage or the side navigation bar that says Events.

What this means is that almost all of you will now see fewer Hot Dates because the matching algortihms have been tweeked to be more accurate and take into account both your settings and the hot date posters settings. For single males, this may be a drastic decrease in the number of hot dates you see.

I've read your posts and I have also suggested to the developers that they put the Events back on the calendar and that they make it so you can change the default to either a week or a monthly display.

If you don't think this change is hurting you, you better get on the social media sites. People are talking about it and not in a favorable way. Potential new members are balking joining based on negative comments on this. And your silence on it speaks volumes about your concerns for paying members' wishes.
Did you survey users before you changed this? Did we need this changed? Based on the reviews I'm guessing you didn't.
Before the change I clicked once on a date and saw all the events. Now it takes SIX separate clicks (I know because I've created a tutorial for others) to get to a listing of ONE TYPE of event. If want to see another you have to either start over or back up and select another type of event.
I'm an IT guy and do this for a living. One of the worst New feature roll outs I've seen to date.
We vote no for the new hot date style and the age screening.
SLS is worthless and when you complain about it they take your profile OFFLINE. Guess they have no interest in what the paying members want.
I host parties, and I'm friends with other hosts. The HOT TOPIC in our conversation today was - WHAT OTHER SITE CAN WE GO TO. Great job not listening you customers complaints! Because nothing else that's been done to this website has been a great job. The minute a company stops listening to what their customers want, and instead tells the customer "tough shit, you don't know what's best for you, deal with it" is the first nail in said company's coffin. SLS will go the way of Swappernet and MySpace and be a distant memory by next year. Way to go, killing your own company!!!

Re hot dates, now if you are out of the age range you can not see the posted date. I have many times responded successfully to hotdates where desired age was just a couple years off. This “improvement” doesn’t help anyone.
Again, yet another step backwards
Hey, so if any fun friends are interested in meeting up with a nice single gentleman this weekend, please check me out. Hope to hear from you :)
( I just figured more people will see it here than on the calendar )
So why do they respond to a few instead making a statement to the membership explaining what and why they are doing what they are doing?

Another fucked up change at SLS. CHANGE IT BACK ASSHOLES!
FWIW - I was NOT in the App when my profile pic for our Hot Date wouldn't display. Again, not sure if this will change or if the roll-out is considered complete and the behavior will be the same now for the App and non-App users.
Can anyone actually see any hot dates? It says it may take 5 min to load. I’ve waited...

I know lots of people think the latest change here is a step backwards (as do I), but if history repeats itself, the better path will be how do we improve what's there versus trying to get them to roll back the changes.
When you go to Events, adding a tab that says "All" would essentially make things close to the way things were and still allow someone that perhaps only wanted to see "Clubs" based events to do that.
Still not sure how one would/could edit or delete an existing Hot Date, but perhaps that hasn't been implemented yet. Since there has been zero communication about this change, members have no idea where SLS is with it. That's a problem in and of itself.
As mentioned earlier I believe this is more work being done to support the App because our profile pic does not display in Hot Dates saying, "Sexually Suggestive Content Not Available Publicly in the App".
Hope they fix it soon! :)
