What happened?? This site is becoming totally useless. Go back to the way it was.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable......

We used to be able to see what events were going on when we knew when we were traveling, and where we were traveling. Can't even do that.

And now if a couple has mis-entered the age group they are interested in, or a couple just a bit on either side of our age requirement that looks interesting, we won't see them.

WTF are SLS thinking? Another poorly conceived improvement that makes the web site worse. No research, no warning that is coming, no announcement that it's changed. Just dumped onto the paying customer.

Wow. It's pretty much unusable now. Thumbnails show as being too suggestive for the app (I'm not in the app). Events are literally impossible to find. Distance from home now resets every time. And it doesn't even look better. It looks like a high school kid designed it 20 years ago.

SLS is rapidly becoming close to useless. Making something worse != update/improvement. First mail then this. This is arguably even worse than the mail debacle.

Yep poured my soul out on the hot date update and my reply was deleted guess you can't use f@$k 20 times in a post. Let's be clear you f@&ked up this update in in No way improves usability. Horrible fix it.

Regarding hot date in calendar , The new configuration is a complete mess and that’s an understatement I like the old configuration. GO BACK to the old style!!!! What genius came up with this design???? If I was to rate it, it would be a 0 rating!!! I can’t even see what Club or Party we are going to anymore, the new design sucks!!

I see that my reply was also removed, no matter. There's plenty of feedback here to illustrate the overall sentiment. I'll just leave on this point: SLS needs its members more than its members need SLS. If you think otherwise, maybe go see what Myspace is up to these days....

Yeah, Hot Dates appears to be a hot mess now. I hadn't noticed till someone mentioned it that you can no longer edit a Hot Date. If there is a way, it isn't obvious.

Also, there was one Hot Date we could see under the old format and no longer can because it says we do not meet their relationship or age requirements. Definitely a step backwards. So many people will set an arbitrary age limit but it really comes down to a case by case basis. Not anymore. If you specify 50 as your upper limit, people 51 and older will be blocked from seeing your Hot Date.

Please bring back the calendar so we can see what options are available for a specific day.......stay close to home for a hot date or maybe drive a little distance to a party. Only way to k ow what's going on on a specific date is to click through 15 different pages and write each thing down a piece of paper! Horrible update.

So, you cannot edit an existing hot date you created anymore? Also, where can you expand the distance when looking at the hot dates? What is going on with this site? Each change makes it less user friendly, or perhaps its just us.

WOW, Hot date is a mess. Is SLS deliberately making it harder to meet other couples???? You can no longer post any reference on your profile you're going to an event, if you do SLS will take your profile offline. It happen to us. We were told to use Hot date, ok so we use Hot date that's fine..... but now Hot date is useless WTF. Why doesn't SLS use a development system and beta testers, volunteers from active users that would give real user feedback before pushing a change out?? We like this site, it's better than many of the other "lifestyle" sites that seem to push more porn than real people getting together. Hopefully SLS reads all the feedback from the other great members that took the time to post their opinion on the new Hot date changes

I think I get what they were trying to do (categorize by event types), but the information is kind of disjointed now. I really didn't care what type of event it was. I was more interested in what events were on what dates. It was also nice to have the Hot Dates posted on the same calendar.

There was a course I took by Ed Tufte about presentation and density of information. In the original Hot Dates/Events page the information was displayed in a much denser and intuitive format. It now takes more clicks to see the same amount of info, so no surprise it is being viewed as a step backwards and why I agree with it being worse than what was there before.

Is that what happened, I thought I forgot to post mine when I didn’t see it up but it must have been deleted as well. Not listening to the customers concerns is a sure way to escalate the issue.......just thinking out loud here.

Guess they didn’t like my reply since they deleted it. Everyone needs to email or get a help ticket so they understand how bad they messed up.

Wayne, can you help us out here? The changes are very disappointing to say the least. Please let us know what the plan is to fix this. Thanks!

And doesn’t match their relationship requests? Plenty of couples still play solo. For SLS to arbitrarily make that decision, says they don’t know what they are doing.

My guess is that this is not a partial update (I hope I am wrong).

I would love to understand why the new hotdate and events is considered an improvement by SLS.

This change to the Hot Date and calendar function is dysfunctional at best. We have friends in the lifestyle of all ages. It sure would be nice to know when some of our younger friends are attending an event or will be somewhere we might be interested in attending. For example, if some younger couple we know is going to a winery or other event, we could have sent them a note saying we were planning to go and it they don't have other plans that we'd love to see them again. We can't do that now because SLS has determined that they will screen the posts we used to see. Funny, I never saw anyone suggest in the forums that this change was a feature they wanted! This is just one more foolish move by management which will do little else but anger existing members. Sure seems like time to find another lifestyle website that is more user friendly.
