I don't like this new message thing, that when you click on some free losers profile pic imbedded in that message, requesting access to all of your Private pics,, that's messed up. But not wanting to chance it I wonder if you do a search, using their profile name and find them,, will clicking on that profile link do the same thing, give access to all your stuff,, or will it from the search allow you to view that profile without allowing access..... ??
Website: Private image access request
did you click on the lock in their profile page?
you might also click on the key located in the same row to allow them access to your private photos
Sorry I did not mention that it was a single who sent the picture request and yes with the not interested but still viewable setting...... Maybe it's an app thing....
Well, they at least changed the verbiage to indicate this came from the Mobile App, I had suggested that 70 some messages ago.
Here's another suggestion:
When you select the access privates link, they should have at least one prompt you'd have to pass through, as an annoyance, and an option (enabled by default) to have your private pics opened to the profile you are asking.
This will also lessen the accidental requests, the screen for adult content and access privates look similar and I'm sure I've made the mistaken request.
Second suggestion: Create a "Disable Mobile App Features" in your profile settings. Might give the SLS visionaries a clue as to how many people prefer web over apps.
You're welcome, It's a pleasure to assist you in your assessments.

Also, sorry for the oversight, Allen. I just realized I forgot to thank you. So, thank you!
"As expected."
Yep.
While I'm tempted to leave couples blocked in order to unscientifically assess the impact on the number of those stupid image requests I get, I changed it back.
“ Sorry, this user has chosen to have their profile hidden from Couples.”
As expected.
~Allen
So far as I know, it's still blocked. Anyone want to do an experiment with me? I'm going to express no interest in couples but leave them visible. Would someone let me know what happens?
I get those requests all the time, usually attached to what looks like a thumbnail for a couple's profile, but since I don't open them or check out the profiles I couldn't tell you for sure.
"we are not interested but visible...."
The last time those "new" settings were discussed, the "no Interest and remain visible" also blocked.
~Allen
We do not block singles.... we are not interested but visible.... if you know the "new" setting in your profile options...
If everyone blocked single males, 99% of those requests would go away.

LOL, mobile app asking to to see out private pictures... no we are not interested... but thanks for putting some effort into asking :)
Yeah, it's changed the site completely. We've yet to get anything from an app user beyond "Hi" and a request for pictures.
Catchy, understood and was agreeing, plus pointing out how impersonal and spam-like it is
Correct. I'm just sharing information.
Catchy...except that they didn’t actually ask anything. They simply hit one key, probably didn’t say hello, how are you guys, etc. It’s now like the hacks that’s let you just swipe right by the hundreds. Playing the numbers game, hoping someone relies. Even at just 1% success rate, they will get 1 response and pictures opened per one hundred requests sent.
Talked to the sender. Apparently this is a reciprocal action...they're allowing access while asking for access in return, kind of like a passkey/backstage pass exchange on other sites.

This is a "private image access request", but the action proposed is to "share all of your private pictures" with us. Are they sharing with us, or do they want to see our pictures? This makes no sense.
tl;dr Does the programmer even English, bro?
Bots? Maybe. But I doubt it.
The feature to request access is only available on the app. The app is very new itself. Stands to reason that the majority of new users are on the app and think it's just what you do - request access if you have any interest.
We see it in our group too. Since group admins can only send invitations to the group through the email system and email isn't available through the app most of our invitations are now going unanswered.
Seems like bots are taking over the site. We've noticed most of the "request for photo" messages are from very new accounts. Probably time to shut down the account.
Sometimes I get the feeling that the SLS verbiage is largely written in English, then translated in turn to Albanian, Cantonese, Esperanto and then back to English. So "Choose Default IM Message" becomes "Massage My Karate Monkey Death Car".
Okay, so I've lost some brain cells in the past few week (I'm still hoping my ability to spell comes back), so maybe that's the problem, but does this look rather weird to anyone else?:

Like, why would I click their profile and share all my private photos with myself? That is what it's saying, right?
I see more blocks in my future!
I find this new "feature" offensive and an encouragement to picture collectors. I would never open my private pictures to anyone based on an automated request from someone I didn't know. I am not that naive.
I don't even like the one line messages so there is no way I would be receptive to an automated request. If someone can't put a little effort into communicating then I'm not interested.
How is possible that I have just received a private image access request message from a woman who has never viewed my profile, nor has she even been on line for the past 2931 days?
