Website: Private image access request

Fort Payne, AL, Us

Yeah Wayne - we do need to keep track of requests from idiots that send an automated request without sending a personalized message first - because that's how we keep trolls separate from those we might be interested in. Since IM history doesn't attach to a profile like mail history did if we don't keep all IM history in the message window then we have no way of knowing about any prior contact unless we make notes on profile - causing us a lot more work than the old mail system. You are definitely improving the SLS experience for users!

The button is only present in the mobile app

So correct me if I’m wrong, I think Wayne is telling us there is a button to quickly send a request for photos. Where is the button to quickly request for the old mail system to be returned?

Wayne- your commitment to customer service just gets better and better. Not at all dismissive of the site members’ concerns and complaints.

It is a method for someone to request to see your private pictures. If you don't want to use it, simply do not use it. Delete the message, block them or ignore them. You don't need to keep track of anything.

I have a wonderful idea.
Why dont the SLS staff try using the site.
A form of R&D, if you will. There is a strong possibility that Management will see why we are just dumbfounded at these new improvements.
The functionality is going backwards. Pretty sure you have heard.

Another feature that sucks. Man, why is SLS trying to make this harder, not easier to use?

"Wayne, the problem is if we simply delete the messages then there is no record. We have no idea if they messages us in the past or what they said. Notes are a pain in the ass and are limited to how much info can go there anyway. "

That is why we often use the BLOCK PROFILE unless we are interested then we have to MANUALLY ENTER IN NOTE SECTION that we connected

This slow sabotage of SLS is annoying

Got several of these messages. If someone is requesting to see our pics without first 1. sending a message and starting conversation; 2. without opening theirs first; etc. I find it rude. Most are just pic collectors. This is another useless thing that was added to the forum. Bring back the regular Mail. Why is is that the clubs, groups, etc. can still send via "Archived Mail" and yet we have to use "Messages"?

New Orleans, LA, Us

Hating it. We’ve gotten pic requests from people that don’t open their pics first or don’t even have private pics.

Wayne, the problem is if we simply delete the messages then there is no record. We have no idea if they messages us in the past or what they said. Notes are a pain in the ass and are limited to how much info can go there anyway.

You’ve added another annoyance instead of a usefully tool. Especially since there seems to be no indication of actually archiving and tying messages to profiles.

So tried the app, accidentally hit the REQUEST ACCESS on two different profiles, immediately sent out mssgs explaining the mistate, but looks like they may have fixed it.

You can use the "garbage can" icon to the right of the request message to delete the message permanently and it will not clutter your message list.

If you do not use the app and you are someone that believes that someone should send you a message first, then simply ignore these requests

Simply Ignoring them leaves them to clutter up IM log unlike former system where their message would be with their profile.
Blocking them deletes the annoying IM and stops them from annoying us a again. Blocking when we have had to go to their profile to see if there was a prior engagement is quicker then going back to IM to erase the annoying IM

Former system was MUCH MORE PLEASANT to use.

This is an app feature. On the app you can request access. On the app, the other member will get a notification and can grant access. If you do not use the app and you are someone that believes that someone should send you a message first, then simply ignore these requests. If you are not on the app and DO want to give access, view their profile and use the 'Private' icon to grant access, just as you normally would.

AandJinNNJ:

Request came thru but there is no special button on your profile page as part of request. Only normal page

NYC,

We just used the app to send you a request to access private pics. Let us know if you get the same message.

Were you using the app or the website?

The feature only seems to be available on the app.

When I look at profile of others I do not see a place to request private pix. We are a couple.

I figured maybe "feature" only appears for single guys. So went into account of single male friend who has a lifetime subscription. We check for message for him about once a week as he has connection problems. The "Feature" is not showing on his account either.

So maybe this "feature" only appears on accounts of single guys.

Someone may truly be trying to sabotage SLS

Just took a look at the app and there is a feature to request access to private pics. I assume that's where that message is coming from.

We got the same message from a single guy. Also blocked immediately.

Just received:

"... Sent you a private image access request..........
View their profile to accept!................
(Automated Message)............

NO OTHER MESSAGE from member!!!

Blocked him. Someone is truly trying to sabotage SLS. This reminds me of swappernet before they closed down. I feel bad because we have several people who paid for lifetime SLS membership because of us.

Largo, FL, Us

got a msg like this, turned out to be a single guy listed as a couple. sent him a message why he was asking to see our private pictures when he had not reached out to us in Any form.
