If you only attend parties of a few clubs you can save links to their SLS listings. E.G.:

SLS tells me
"Sorry this post contains words that are not allowed please try again "
even tho this was a link to SLS page
Don't know what words SLS doesn't like

So you are on your own

Sorry SLS Wayne but you have become the Sarah Huckabee Sanders of SLS. Keep defending and trying to hide the fact that this is a major SLS F--- Up !

I know what ya mean Ed, single males for everyone!

We just did a search for 1000 mile radius, looked at this Saturday, I stopped looking after the first 500 miles, but there was not one single female or male. So you're trying to tell me that there are no single males looking for couple within a thousand miles of us. I find that hard to believe... there are always crap loads of single males looking for couples

“ I wonder how many responses is needed to get other changes done.”

That’s an excellent question for that know it all, whiney assed, illiterately successful web developer before they leave.

They said they can add the events back on to the calendar. I don't know when they will get that done. -SLS Wayne
It took 194 responses on this topic to get the one that mattered.

I wonder how many responses is needed to get other changes done.

I have two concerns with this and most of the other changes through the years.

The first is that these changes come with no warning, and no feedback from members.

The second is that there is a long list of stuff that doesn't work efficiently or even correctly.

But they change the stuff that is working (at least marginally well) and usually for the worse. And leave the fucked up stuff fucked up.

Ed, you have to match their criteria in their hot date form in order to see them.

We still can't figure out how to see hot dates posted by single females and single males. We do not have either one blocked by our profile.

Charles Town, WV, Us

I’m sure they recognize these features were asked for in posts that didn’t contain hateful degrading language and/or constant threats of leaving.

Being the eternal optimist, I am happy that Wayne is listening and relaying our thoughts to the developers. He said that they will change the distance setting to our set default distance and will suggest putting all in one calendar. I am not certain that this will happen but it indicates to me that they are realizing that these unilateral changes are pissing us off and effecting their income. Maybe they will begin to recognize our opinion matters?!?!?

I think the fundamental problem is that SLS developers are making assumptions about swingers and our behavior.

For example, the default of 50 miles for Hot Dates. Or not allowing access to profiles outside a certain age range. Or that people wound want to Message instead of Mail.

Why stuff everyone into the same box?

"Sorry, you do not match their relationship or age request" Sorry SLS you do not match the needs of the active paying membership, watch your active members disappear like the Hot Dates you removed.

All I can say is. Horrible

Please return to the Hot Date calendar, The new page sucks, we are re-thinking our SLS membership. The original calendar has been the most useful tool when planning our future travels.

licksnkissez - Not sure if you saw it but Wayne said he was going to put in a suggestion to allow for a default distance setting so that you don't have to reset it every time you go to the Hot Dates page.

Charles Town, WV, Us

Licksnkisses: That is a discussed upcoming change.

:thumbs up:

“ They said they can add the events back on to the calendar.”

You mean I have to click on hot date, click on month, then click event link and then click the event detail to read it instead of a single click from a tab of my choice from the bottom of my homepage? WTF! I’m leaving......

@Mayhem: Now I’m being facetious (an ass).

Fyi changing the distance. Is just a one time thing...the sight dosnt remember you want 250 miles instead of 50 miles. You have to change it every time you view the calendar.

Not a big deal but it would be nice for it to remember your preference.

Charles Town, WV, Us

“ Licksnkisses: Click on change location, an option to change distance will appear.”

Licksnkisses: You’re welcome. Not sure wasn’t clear. I didn’t include select a distance in the instructions because you would see the available options.

Jim, I comprehend very well, thanks for the stab, when it was you.....apology accepted.....lol

Tips: lol @ U, I’m not defending but if it makes you happy to say so. There are other ways than threatening to leave to resolve matters. Let me know how your protests goes and be sure to post your leave date so we can bid farewell.

"I can suggest that they make the default distance user settable..."

Thanks Wayne for picking up on that. Seems it will at least improve the user experience for some. While you're at it, can you suggest an "All" tab on the Events page so that we can once again see all LS event types on one page, please? ;-)

Pleasant Gap, PA, Us

Ok allen.thank you..your first post wasnt clear. And the change location on the site....reads as that change location...we didnt want to do that just change distance....maybe that should be changed to read location and distance options or something that makes more sense.

In general dont assuming people know what your talking about. The obvious to you is not as obvious to others. Esp in the lifestyle lol we dont assume anything when it comes to that.

I think we can deal with the rest of the changes as we previously stated.

I understand why people like the old one however it was a one stop view of dates and events...they dont want to click every tab to see what's going on.

"You can adjust the distance. Select "Change Location" and the distance setting is listed there."

Just to be a little clearer, the Change Location link referenced is on the Hot Date page. The Hot Date form itself has a "Change Location" link as does your profile settings, but neither of these change the Hot Dates distance range.

It will change the distance for all of the Hot Dates shown on the calendar. It is not a sticky setting as far as I can tell. If you set it, leave the Hot Dates page and come back in it will be reset to the 50 mile range. I can see that being a little annoying if you always want to see a range higher than 50 miles due to your location having sparse nearby opportunities. For now, it is what it is.

I can suggest that they make the default distance user settable so you don't have to change it each time. Their logic is that the default of 50 miles covers the distance that the majority of swingers are willing to travel.

What about the age range? What if they can default that to be whatever you have set in your profile? Would that be acceptable?
