We can't believe that with such a magnitude of members complaining that the admin has chosen to continuing just having IM as the center piece for communications. We are lifetime members so it does not financially hurt the site for us to drop out but there are other ways we express our disappointment to the community at large. We get asked quite often by newcomers which site to use. We will no longer mention or support SLS and will gladly list out the other half dozen sites that do listen to their members. They bring out new features instead of terminating a vital part of the service.
The admin must see this forum topic increasing in the number of responses so my response is more to the other members reading this. Stop going to SLS sponsored events and support the other websites. They are offering a better product than SLS.

Agreed the IM feature sucks. I am sure some enjoy it but forcing it as the only form of communication especially since its only a half assed implementation.
Keep it as an option but bring back emails for initial contacts.
on a side note.... like the messenger or not... anyone notice that when using the messenger that the connection is NOT secure, meaning that any parts of the message, including any photos, may be viewed by others....

I do NOT use my phone to access this site. I travel and would use the "Hot Date" Calendar to find parties and events. Since Monday 7-15-19 I can no longer change my location on my profile or in the Hot Date section to find events when I travel! When I try to change my location I get this message " Please re-enter city using autocomplete" Thing is "Autocomplete" use to automatically drop down to click on and now it does NOT so I can NOT change my location to find events same message when trying to change my location on my profile! Wonder what we are going to loose next on this site. SMFH
