Periods in the Lifestyle | Episode 101In this episode of The Swing Nation Podcast, the top-rated podcast about non-monogamy and swinging, Dan and Lacy are back with another Tuesday Talks, answering real listener questions from inside the lifestyle. This week, they get a call from Chris, who’s dealing with a frustrating but very real situation — what happens when your period shows up right before a big lifestyle event? He wants to know how couples typically handle it, and whether being on your period is always a hard pass or if there are ways to still play within certain boundaries.Dan and Lacy dive into the topic with their usual no-BS approach. They talk about some of the “home remedies” you should definitely avoid, as well as legitimate options that can help delay your cycle if timing is critical. They also break down how different couples approach intimacy during a period, and why it’s far more common — and accepted — than many people think. At the end of the day, it all comes down to comfort, communication, and consent. Whether you’re navigating your first event or you’ve been in the lifestyle for years, this episode offers practical advice and reassurance around a topic that doesn’t get talked about enough.Get Tickets to Electric Pleasures- The Swing Nation - Main Website Quick Navigation Website: -- (Find all our social media links more!)- Swinger Society - Our Website to meet, connect events Swinger Society Discord Our Facebook Group- Swinger Websites -Kasadie 90 day free trialUsername: TheSwingNation SDC 14 day free trial Username: TheSwingNation** Use code 36313 for 14 days free! ** SLSUsername: NorthernGuynSouthernGirl- Merch More -Order Your Merch Here!- Lacy’s Fun Links -VIP OnlyFansPREMIUM OnlyFans-- THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS --Wisp : Making sexual healthcare inclusive, cost-effective, and accessible—for everyoneUse Code SWING at checkout for 15% off your oder!Shameless Care: ED Medication and at home STD testingUse Code TSN at checkout for $30 off your order!Promescent® Make Love Longer, It’s Time for Great SexUse Code SwingNation for 5% off!Sling it Bikinis:  adjustable one-size styles, thoughtfully crafted to flatter eveSupport the show- Thank you for the support! -

Tuesday Talks. Swing Nation got you feeling sexy. Tuesday Talks. Talking Tuesday with Dan and Lacey. Ooh, how about that high note? That was perfect. Hey there, pineapple people, and welcome to the Swing Nation podcast. We are your hosts, Northern Guy. And Southern Girl. And we are back with another rendition. of Tuesday Talk. Tuesday Talk with Dan and Lacey. I was just going to ignore you. Because, you know, it's kind of like a toddler when they misbehave. Instead of, like, making a big deal about it, you just, like, ignore them and then they don't get the reaction they want, so they don't do it. What were you ignoring? You calling me other names. I don't know. I didn't do that. I know, but I'm telling you what my strategy was going in. Anywho. I don't even know what you're talking about. Okay, so, on to today's question. I promise we love each other, guys. It doesn't seem like it. Like, if you don't know us, you probably think, these people fucking hate each other, but I swear we do. Yeah. I mean, sometimes, but. All right, you ready? Yeah. All right, let's go to the phone lines. I have a two-part question for you. First, how do you handle it when your period decides to show up unexpectedly right before an event? The second part is how do you both handle it if your potential play partner has your period during one of these events? Do you pass altogether or do you just make the most of it and play with some limitations? Thanks, guys. All right. I think we've actually talked about this before, maybe with Dr. Store. I think we've talked about some of this. Yeah, it's been a while. as a Tuesday talk question. And this is a question that comes up quite often. Yeah, it's actually not a super big deal. I get like I get people that are not in the lifestyle. They probably are thinking about like every possible situation. And this I can see why people make sense, you know. But it's actually really not in common and honestly not a huge big deal. OK, really. All right. OK. So as a female, I do not know. I have never had a period in the lifestyle. I unfortunately had to have a hysterectomy at 28. I'm 41. And I met dad. I met Dan. My dad, Dan. You can call me daddy. In my early 30s. So I had already had my hysterectomy. And so I never, thank goodness, I don't have to deal with that, you know. But it is very common for girls or women to start their period. And you can do a number of things. There's ways to stop your period. There's ways to do it safely. And there's ways to do it unsafely. So if you're very interested in that, I'm going to give a quick overview. But if you want to dive in, definitely go back and find our Dr. Stower episode where we talk about periods. Because from a doctor standpoint... Right. She's an OBGYN. We did a pretty deep dive into this one time. Yeah. I'm just going to give you my... Highlights. Yeah. I use WISP just so you know how I feel about them. There's a lot of different companies though like WISP, HERS. I even think Shameless Care who's also an affiliate does have some of these type products now. So definitely do figure out which one you want to you want to use. But they have a medicine that is made literally to delay your period. Northidrone. I don't know how you say it. But anyway I literally googled WISP and when I did WISP when I did. the second button was delay your period. And I'm just going to read a little bit about it. It says, how do you begin taking it three days before your period is supposed to start? And you can delay your period for your wedding, your honeymoon, your vacation, if you're going camping, sporting events, whatever you want to do. So this is not like a lifestyle made product. This is for like, if you're going to the beach with your girlfriends and you don't want to have to deal with that. This is, you know, very common. It says, put a on your period with a quick online consult. Privately message a licensed medical provider about delaying menstruation. At your medical review, your provider will prescribe treatment to put you in control. Most prescriptions are sent to the pharmacy within three hours of completing your medical intake form and phone call or video chat when necessary. Begin taking it three days before your period. It's supposed to start to delay your period. So, it's very easy. I will say, if it was me, and you were someone who still has a period, even if you don't have anything coming up, just get it. You know, and just keep it. Like, I literally have an emergency kit that we travel with, and it has things for, like, UTI or yeast infection. This would be something that I would include in it if I was someone that still had a period. I do know, it says take it three days before you start. You can take it after you start. Like, if you start spotting. Like, for instance, we were just at, like, a content house last weekend. And one of the girls had started and had taken this. And it took a couple of days to stop it. But it did. I will say, though, like, I talked to her yesterday. And she was having severe cramps. Because she kind of delayed. Right. You know, it's... So you're going to probably have some consequences on the back. And I don't know if she was taking this. I didn't ask what she was actually taking or if she did like, you know, the under the radar, the not, you know, the not official way to do it. But definitely if you have like if you're going to Hedo or something like this, starting your period could be like a big thing. So just being prepared. We do have one friend that is the queen of starting her period. Daphne. Right before an event or during an event. Every event. And every time I'm like, did you get your medicine? Did you get with? No. And I'm like, I don't want to hear it. You know, it's super easy. You could literally have the medicine. Like you don't even have to go to the farm. Like you can have it shipped to your house. You don't have to do anything. Yeah. So I highly, highly recommend doing that. Yeah. And so part of her question. Yeah, I was about to throw it to you. No, no. I was going to say part of her question, though, that I fully don't understand. Maybe you can explain to me a little bit. She said, what if you get your period unexpectedly? Yeah. I thought periods were on. They are, but sometimes things happen. Sometimes your body just starts. It could sync up with other women. I mean, there's just a lot of variables. So that's why I recommend having it. Because even though I don't have a period now, before, I could almost tell that my body, like something was happening. And I would say that at the first indication, whether that be a cramp, a light spotting, go ahead and start your medicine. That would be my, and that's why, I travel with an emergency kit for reasons like this. So with some women, it's a little... Some women are like clockwork. They can kind of move around a little bit. Some women, it's like clockwork every single 28 days. Some women, it might start at 26 or it might be 32. You just kind of have to know your body. And if you're one of those people that might throw you a curveball, I would just keep it with me. Right. Yeah. And then definitely if you're looking at your calendar and you're like, oh crap, that's my weekend. Yeah, just go ahead and have it. And then no, then you can do the three days before you go ahead and start. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Then the second part of her question is how do you feel? What happens if you do start your period and you're at a party or an event or on a cruise or something like that? How do you handle that situation? So I'll let you comment on like the men's perspective. But from a female perspective, I will say there are many of girls that start and some girls are like, I'm on my period. I can't do anything. You know, they don't. They don't want to be in the playroom. They don't want to engage. They don't want a part of it. Then there are girls that are like, hey, I would love to come and be a part of everything. You know, I don't want my husband to miss out. I can do oral. You know, I can give. But other than that, that's all I'm going to do. And honestly, those are the girls I love. You know, like, because you can still be a major part in it. You know, you can be the fluffer. You can get everybody ready. You know, you could bring a wand and you could get yourself off or have somebody from the outside if you're not real comfortable. you know with you know but if you're just not feeling it you don't you don't have to be a part of anything you know so so it's really your comfort level as far as that now i will say and i'll let dan come in it not all guys are freaked out by it you know and it's more of a comfort thing uh you know like there's a few girls that dan will do not mind playing with like if they're you know not maybe not if they're their heaviest day of their cycle but if it's towards the end or maybe they're just spotting a little you don't personally have an issue with it and I'll let you kind of chime in here no yeah I was going to say I you know I have really no issues with it you know I was married for a long time and and you're wearing protection every once in a while a little spotting or a little blood is pretty was pretty normal right and yeah we're always using condoms always using protection so I could see if you weren't if for some reason you're a person that plays without that that might be more of a concern but for us that where we always use that it's not much of a concern so I've had girls you know actually just like you're referencing the content weekend one of the girls was just coming off of her her cycle and she was basically like hey just so you know i'm at the tail end of it but there might be a little spotting and you know she just kind of put that out there like if you don't want to yeah they're like if you have any issues with that it's fine and of course all the guys were like i got no issues with that yeah yeah so i think like being comfortable in your own skin in your own like womanhood like we it's all like we all get it you know like even if we're not actively like in that stage of life like we have been and most men have been with a woman that has. So I think just like being honest and throwing it out there is probably better than like being like secretive and funny around it. I think you'll find that a lot of guys really don't care. And it's more of like a personal preference than anything. Some guys even like it. Some guys even like it. And some girls like are comfortable with like somebody that they played with previously, but maybe not like a new partner, you know. So again, you have to decide. as a female, where your head's at and what you're okay with and then just communicate. Yeah, I do think the right move is just to give a heads up and let people make the decision. You know, I could see if somebody, especially if you knew you were on that and then somebody pulls out and there's blood being like. Yeah, definitely tell me. My gut reaction would be like, oh shit, did I hurt you? Like, you know what I mean? Because you have a big dick. Well, I'm just saying that would be my gut reaction. But yeah, definitely communicate. You know, and I can see like if you're, to be honest, if you're like, day two, one, two, three. I probably wouldn't want to be having sex. But if you're at the tail end or it's finishing up, don't let it ruin your trip. You'll find that a lot of people are just, in the lifestyle, we're kind of just okay with a lot of things. If you're going to a public playroom and you're heavily bleeding, that's probably not a good idea. You don't want to ruin sheets. But if you have somebody that you've played with a ton of times and you're comfortable with them and they're comfortable with it, go to your private room and lay something down, you know, I mean, like it's okay. Yeah. Agreed. Just do what you feel comfortable with and communicate. A hundred percent. All right. Anything else to answer that question? That's it. All right. Um, we need more questions guys. We do. We were a little short on them this week. So, uh, if you have a Tuesday talk question, there's a few different ways you can get ahold of us. You can email us at the swing nation at gmail.com. The swing nation at gmail. Uh, you can email us the question. or you can send us a voice file. You can send us a video file if you wanted to. We've never got that before, but that would be kind of fun. We wouldn't show your video on the internet. Unless you said we could, maybe. Yeah, that'd be fine. It'd be actually kind of cool if you could splice it. I could probably splice it in when I'm editing a podcast. Like YouTube? Yeah. Okay, so you could do that or you can call or text and that phone number is? 972-302-7716. One more time? 972-302-7716. 77716. I also wanted to add in, we've been getting a lot of texts about events. Like if they can't find a link, if they have a question about something, we don't respond quickly to that. So if it's a time sensitive situation, like if you're ready to book and you cannot find our link, and especially because we recently have talked about what you get when you book with us for big things like Hedo and Naughty and Bliss. So a lot of people have really been paying attention to that. And for that, we greatly appreciate you. So if you have a question and we do not respond relatively quickly, always email admin at swingersociety.net. That email address is monitored all the time. Yeah, I was going to say, I think people that the phone, the Tuesday talk phone, the, you know, the podcast phone, sometimes if we record three or four podcasts in a row, we might not look at that phone for a month. And then sometimes we might even be then be in a hurry and grab a question from our email. So there's times when there's weeks and weeks in between us looking at that phone. So definitely if you have a question that's time sensitive, admin at Swinger Society for all events stuff will get you an answer. And we just really don't want you to like not have it. Like we very much appreciate all the people that want to use our link and want to support us and stuff like that. So by all means, if you want us to use help, we will help you. Just, you know, we just need to be able to get you to the right person. Facebook groups, Discord, groups, those are good places to go and ask questions. Our staff monitors, those kind of places. So, you know, if you go on the Facebook group or the Discord group and say, hey, what clothes are we allowed to wear EP this weekend? Or what's, you know, how do I sign up for a room crawl? The admin at swingerstudy.net email or Discord or Facebook will probably get you the quickest answers. Yeah. All right. Anything else for the Swing Nation listeners? That's it. All right. I think with that, guys, in a world full of apples. Be the pineapple. Be the pineapple, guys. Bye. Bye.
