Hey there pineapple people and welcome to the swing nation podcast we are your hosts northern guy and southern girl and we are back with another episode of Tuesday Talks. We are. Talking Tuesday. With Dan and Lacey. Woohoo. I like that woo. Woohoo. I was trying to not do it, throw you off your game. Somebody on YouTube said, I can't take you seriously with him singing in a high-pitched girl voice. I mean, same. Or say something about that. Same. That it took all the, like you can't listen to anything else we said because of that. I did that. Well, you know, I don't blame him. It's a little much, babe. I love you, though. Why don't you sing in, like, a man voice? I don't know. I mean, not to, like, say men can't have... Right. Why are you judging me? I don't know. Actually, I really don't care. I mean, men can have whatever voice, but, yeah. I don't even know how we... It's like you were trying to sing like me, but, I don't know. It's been an ongoing thing for years now. I don't even... I can't even tell you where that started from. The whole jingle song, that's all you I'm here to give my opinions and smile and wave. All right. Well, we have a Tuesday talk episode for you. I love how you just like moved on. That is your opinion. It's a very lacy opinionated question. It's a lacy question. It is. All right. So let's hear this week's question. And this came from text. Yeah. So we do check the text and we will pick one on occasion, especially if there's a nude photo attached to it. This one did not. That is not true. That's not true. All right. Okay. Hello. Thank you for sharing your lives in an entertaining manner for our car rides. Well, I feel much sexier with just the right outfit to start with. Packing, unpacking, repacking, and re-unpacking has become such a chore. Lacey, how do you organize your outfits and accessories at home then to travel? Great question. It's actually been... All right. So the question is... Okay. How do you stay organized with your outfits both at home and at home? And while traveling. Yes. And it sounds like this listener has had issues with packing. Yeah. That they have to reorganize and repack. This has been like an ongoing thing. And actually a big topic of discussion recently in our house. Because we took a spare bedroom and turned it into a closet. Because my stuff was literally in three different closets. In three different rooms of the house. It's been everywhere. and it what has the problem is is that I've been having I have a hard time remembering what I have especially like assessors I can't remember what like pretty much what the outfits were but it it's kind of hard for me to like find everything so I end up doing a lot of rebuying because I don't realize what I have because I can't really see it because it's just everywhere right so you basically historically yeah have bought new outfits and new accessories per event. Yeah, I mean, not always, but 80% of the time, I would say yes. 98% of the time. No, I mean, especially in the last few years, like last year, I've rewore a lot of outfits that I wore like the first year we were on TikTok and stuff like that because a lot of people have forgotten about it or, but like my purple and pink school horror outfit, I've wore that three times. So, like, especially if we, if I, like, have spent a decent amount of money on it, I will try to re-wear it. And, like, my Honey Burdette, I'll definitely re-wear and just, like, re-assessorize it to make it look different. So, what I did, and I know this is different for everyone because a lot of people have to hide their stuff because they're not public, but we took a spare bedroom and made it into a closet, and I have one whole rack full of, like, lifestyle, And I can visually see them. I can move them. I can organize them. So I can see what I have and what I don't have. And I will say I've packed now for like two things. And it's been super helpful. And I've rewore stuff for both things because I can easily see it. That you forgot your head probably. Yes. Yeah, because it's all tucked away and it was hard to remember. As far as the accessories, I have like bins. They're like kind of like the plastic. And I organize it based on what it is. So I have a bin. Like the ones with the drawers. You can't see me. I'm pulling out drawers. My emotions. So the little plastic bins that you get at like Walmart and stuff. Yeah, I got some nicer ones from like TJ Maxx. They're not quite as crappy as the typical ones. But I have one that has like all of my like rave fans. I have one that has fishnets. I have one that has socks. So it's and then I have one that has just like random accessories in it. But then I bag them all. probably more than your average. I've also been trying to get rid of stuff and return a lot of stuff because my body is shaped non-traditionally. So like if I order, I try to explain the sedan, I can order three dresses from Fashion Nova. Odds are one of them is going to fit me. In the past, I've done a bad job of returning the other two. I'm trying, in the last year or two, I've really tried very hard to ship it back, even if I just get like a $20 credit with that, just so it's not in the house. and use that $20 towards something else. So I've really been trying very hard to limit and cut down, believe it or not. Right. So staying at home, you basically, you've always had what you call like your hoe closet or your slut closet or things like that. So generally speaking, Lacey would take over the closet of one of our spare bedrooms and keep all her stuff in there. Now, obviously, if you're somebody that you don't have an extra bedroom or an extra closet, you probably can't do something like that. So just making a space within your closet. Yeah, maybe like an under the bed, something that's a little bit put away. Something like that is an option if you don't have a whole closet to do it. Right. Okay. So then keeping the accessories and stuff in some kind of drawer or bin or something like that. And then, like you said, if you have accessories and they're meant for certain outfits, keeping them all together in some kind of Ziploc or some kind. I've seen people use the sheen bags. You can even buy those type of bags and they're pretty cheap. Yeah. The sheen bags. I've seen people like put the lingerie and then put a picture of it like print it out and put it on the outside of the sheen bag. They actually sell like they're kind of mesh. They remind me of the bags that you would wash like lingerie or something that's more delicate in like a washer with. They sell those like lingerie type bags and that's actually how I store my lingerie in those individual bags and so that way they're easier to find because they're kind of like See-through. You can sort of see them. Gotcha. Mm-hmm. Okay. And then when you travel, how do you stay organized? So for me, I used to use Ziploc bags. And I've recently moved to like packing cubes because I feel like the Ziploc bags were not quite big enough. I was having like two Ziploc bags. But the issue for me is a lot of times I would go to events and then like the next day I would remember that I had like matching pasties to an outfit or I had a bracelet that I forgot to wear. So what I do is leading up to I will try on my outfit. And I will put every single piece of that outfit in a packing cube. So the pasties, basically everything but the shoes, the pasties, the fishnets, the earrings, the bracelet, whatever goes with it goes in that packing cube. And then when I get to an event, if we stay longer than a weekend, we typically will unpack our suitcases. Because if not, it looks like our suitcases have just exploded all over the room. that packing cube and put it in a drawer in the hotel room. Now, of course, if my actual outfit needs to be hung so that way it doesn't wrinkle, I will take the actual outfit itself out and hang it. But everything else stays within the packing cube. What's a packing cube? That right there. I have some sitting here. Mesh zipper bags. Yeah, I mean, it's kind of like a Ziploc bag, but it's made for travel. It's made to put in suitcases. cases, so a lot of people will pack. Those are pretty big though. Yeah, those are the bigger size. They have all different sizes. Oh, okay. Yeah. So you get, that's not what size you use for an outfit, is it? It depends. Some outfit has a lot of accessories, but some don't. So yeah, I mean like I pack, but I pack everything. I'll even pack the lingerie that I wear after. So, I mean, you can, you can, but you can get small ones. You can get big ones. I have a little bit of all, usually like I get them at TJ Maxx or Marshalls and they'll come like a a set will have like a small, medium, large one. And I usually use the large ones for like, if I need to bring like my regular clothes, I'll put like my shirts, my shorts, stuff like that in there and use a smaller one for the theme outfits. Okay. Yeah, that's different. Yeah. So, I mean, that's not that different than it's just a bigger bag than using the sheen bags or something like that. Yeah. I just felt like the zip, like a large Ziploc or like the sheen, it just doesn't, It doesn't usually have enough room for everything. And then what ended up happening, I would have like a Ziploc bag and then another bag. And it was just, I would tend to forget things. So I just, I literally put everything in that bag. If I have a rave fan, I'll put it in there. I mean, everything minus the shoes goes in there. Unless there's like wings or something that won't fit, which happens, you know, from time to time. But for the most part, everything goes in that bag. And so whatever night it is, I just pull that bag out, open it, and all of my things are there. And I don't forget about something. Yeah, I can feel that. So there has been some times where you get me accessories for outfits, whatever, you know, a pair of sunglasses or a necklace or something. And I do the same thing where I pack it. Yeah. And then when we go to wear it to the club, I forgot that you got me an accessory. You don't pack like that. You literally leave everything in the packages. You don't even try it on. And then you open it when we're there. Well, yeah, that's how it stays organized. It's still in the package. which like i'm working on the bliss cruise this might come out when we're on the bliss cruise but i'm one night was like playboy body night and i ordered a costume and it came in like a costume bag i just used that bag i just opened it put my fishnets my i had like a necklace i put that in there and then i just closed it back up uh so i did use that in that case but for the most part packing cubes has been the way to go for me and it works out okay uh okay that's great advice any other Any other advice or on staying organized? When I get back, it's very important to unpack my suitcase. So take everything out of the suitcase. I usually put a separate pile of like delicates that had to be washed separately. So like my lingerie, any kind of theme outfit that doesn't need to be in the regular wash. And then I'm really been making a point to reorganize everything back in my closet after because I am notorious for throwing it in a pile. Yeah, I try to get him to try things on. Or I just put it loosely in my suitcase. But accessories, yeah, I just put them in my suitcase. And I do sometimes forget that I have the accessories. Yeah. But, oh well. Yeah. Usually you remind me. I do. You'd be like, hey, where's your necklace? I've got you. I'm like, oh yeah, I forgot you got that. Yeah, or sometimes if like, I'll order you sunglasses or something like that. I'm like, you've had these. I try to remember. Yeah. I should put your accessories in my bag, honestly. Yeah, that would maybe work. Yeah. Since you have that bag out anyway. And a pair of sunglasses added to my packing cube is not like the in the world. Yeah, that's not a bad idea. All right. Well, I hope that helps answer your Tuesday Talk question.
