Hey there, pineapple people, and welcome to the Swing Nation podcast. We are your hosts, Northern Guy and Southern Girl. First of off, first of off, Merry Christmas. Oh, Merry Christmas. I was like, where are you going with this? Merry Christmas, Lacey. Merry Christmas, Dan. I hope Santa treated you well. I'm sure he did. And brought you some big gifts. Big packages? Big packages. Yeah. Under the tree. Yeah. I know everything that's under the tree. You don't know what Santa brought you. Yes, I do. You don't know what Santa brought you. Okay. So maybe people are on their way to go see grandma. Maybe they're riding in the car. They got their earbuds in. Like the kids are in the back on their iPhones. Are we the only crazy podcasters? Your dad, you know, dad's driving and mom's got her earbuds in. She's listening to Dan and Lacey of the Swing Nation podcast. I think we might be the only crazy ass podcasters who put out an episode of Christmas. We were talking to some other people at Trapeze a couple weeks ago, and they were like, we take a winter break and a summer break. I was like, we take zero breaks. I don't know if I should be proud of us or think we're workaholics. I don't know. I think consistency is key. Yeah. And I think people knowing that every week they're in a... You can count on us....in box, there's going to be a new episode that they can listen to. I think that's part of why we're on the top, you know? Yeah. They know if we don't put on an episode, Something's wrong. Something's wrong. Something probably happened. Yeah. So yeah. Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. And then today's episode, we're actually not talking about Christmas or Santa, but we're talking about hotel takeovers. We are. And this is super relevant this time of year. Yeah. It just so happens that New Year's Eve is like the granddaddy Mecca of hotel takeover parties. It is. It is probably the biggest. Halloween and New Year's are the two biggest Party Days for Swingers. Yeah. And so we're getting ready to go into New Year's now that Christmas is over. And there's going to be a lot of hotel takeovers going on. Yeah. Specifically, we're going to be in Atlanta at Open Instincts. We are. I'm going to be DJing their hotel takeover. And then we're launching our new brand, Electric Pleasures, which is a hotel takeover brand, but specifically focusing on like alternatives. Alternative Lifestyle Music Heavy, like Festival. So I think Music Festival meets like a Lifestyle Hotel Takeover. Yeah. Kind of merging, you know, those two things. And our first one is January 23rd and 24th. Yeah. So we're gearing up for that as we speak. Which has always been like a big dream of specifically you, not really me. You've always wanted to throw a hotel takeover. So how do you feel on the cusp of a day? Well, it's sold out. So it's done. Right. What's happening? How do you feel? I feel really good about it, actually. Yeah. I think there's a lot that goes into it. We've been looking at hotels to do a hotel takeover for over a year now, probably close to two years now. Probably. And even before that, you were talking about it. Even though we weren't actively looking, you were definitely talking about it. So it's no small feat. And so we're getting ready to do it. And I'm excited. The first one sold out. And I predict the overflow hotel that's in the same parking lot the hotel we're taking over is probably also going to sell out. I bet we're going to have 500 people there. Crazy. So it's going to be a good party. Yeah. And this like shameless plug, if you can't make it to that part, I mean, you can still can come there. She'll take it like day passes available. But if you can't come to that, we have one in March as well. Right. So we're doing an electric pleasures takeover in March in Atlanta, Georgia, more specifically Roswell, which is just outside of the downtown. And that's in March. So, yeah, definitely. If you couldn't make the January party, look for the March party, that one's also going to be a super big deal. Okay. So because of all that, we thought, you know, maybe our listeners haven't been to a hotel takeover. Yeah. Maybe they're coming to Electric Pleasures for the first time and they've never been to a hotel takeover before. So maybe they don't know what to expect. Yeah. So we're going to give you the down low, the down and dirty of what a lifestyle hotel takeover party is. We'll probably weave a little bit into, you know, and what it's going to be and why it might be a little different than what you've seen in the past in there. But we want you to prepare for these parties. And so we want you to book, but we want you to make sure that you have a good time. And so we're going to try to lay out the expectations going into this. Yeah. On a personal note, I love hotel takeovers. Just like secrets, I love the fact that you don't have to get in your car and go anywhere, that everything is like right there. You can drink, you can go to your room. If you need to go to the bathroom, you need a touch up, you need a change your clothes everything is right there so personally i love a good hotel takeover even opposed to like a club i really love a hotel takeover it's like adult slumber party like all your friends are there usually we try to get rooms close to each other it's just it's a really good time so if you're newer in the lifestyle and have never been to one i definitely think it's a fun way to start okay so let's start there then okay and say what is a hotel takeover so if i say hey we're hosting a a hotel takeover this weekend. What does that actually mean? So it's typically a group, you know, whoever that is, if it's, I like your pleasures, if it's swinger study, if it's friction, if it's open instinct, if it's splash, whoever it is, we'll actually rent out the, usually the whole hotel and then we'll rent the rooms to swingers and they throw like the whole party that weekend. Typically it's a weekend. Some, you know, we'll just do a night, but more, you know, More often than not, it's a whole weekend. And so, you know, you can have everything from party floors, which is typically like the top floor of the hotel. And you can, you know, go to different rooms and get shots. There's usually like a bar within the hotel where you can sit around the bar and meet people and get drinks. There's a ballroom where it almost, they turn the ballroom into like a club. Some have playrooms, some have don't. It kind of depends. The cool thing is, Even if they don't have playrooms, you have your room. So that's always a plus. You can always just go back to your room. But yeah, that's what it is. I will say double check before you book and make sure it is a whole hotel takeover because some groups will do like where they take over a floor and then do the ballroom, which is not necessarily like a... Right. So that's very important. I think that's worth noting. So there are two types of hotel takeovers. There'd be one that I would call like a partial takeover. Are whole hotel takeovers. Yeah. I would make sure you know which one you're getting into going into the event. Whether it's a whole hotel takeover or a partial takeover. Like Lacey said, the partial takeovers are usually they'll take over a floor of the hotel and the ballroom. An entire hotel takeover is every single hotel room in that hotel they own. And usually they control access to the hotel. The hotel is not open to the public. Yeah. So there's no vanilla people walking through. Yeah. The problem with a partial takeover is there's vanillas, what we call vanillas, so non-lifestyle people in the hotel. So you really have to mind your P's and Q's going from whatever floor you're on to the ballroom. You can't, you know, most of these you're not supposed to be nude in any of the public spaces anyway. But, you know, swingers, there can be non-nude swingers that you wouldn't want to walk in front of children in the outfit you're wearing. Yeah, we've been to one where we came down to go to the club and our outfits were, they weren't inappropriate by any means, but I didn't feel comfortable being around children in my outfit. And all we did was go from our hotel room to the ballroom. And then we've been to places where there's like kids peeking over, you know, like we're in the hot tub and there's kids peeking over looking, you know, trying to see if they could see stuff. So I think it's just, it's not like a done deal. Like if it's a partial hotel taker, it doesn't mean don't go. I just think be mindful of it. So you kind of know what you're getting yourself into. Okay. So then I do think some key differences between a hotel takeover and like a club party or a house party. To me, the biggest difference is you're basically staying there the entire. Everything is co-located in one spot. Yeah. So if you think about like a club party, you go and you get a hotel. And usually swingers all try to stay in the same hotel. But again, it's not all swingers that are there. So you have to be careful about what you're doing and what you're. Can't be loud. You know, that's the whole walking out of the hotel. a hotel in a trench coat kind of environment. But in this difference, when they take over the whole hotel, you're there. The party is there. Sometimes if they have playrooms, the playrooms are there. Your room is there. You're basically you're there for the weekend to have a good time. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's important to note. And, you know, it's fun. Sometimes I'll have restaurants. Sometimes you have to door dash or you can like bring, you know, some of them have refrigerators. You can bring snacks. You have food there. So, I mean, it's definitely a lot of fun. And I really enjoy being all in the same area. Yeah. That's just me. Okay. So as far as playrooms go, there's a few different ways you'll see playrooms at hotel takeovers. If it's a big like convention style hotel where they have multiple ballrooms, sometimes they'll turn some of the smaller ballroom or conference space into playrooms. Yeah. If it's not, if they only have one ballroom, what they'll do is usually they'll use like the suites or some of the hotel rooms themselves those into playrooms. Yeah. Um, or sometimes some of these, they won't even have any public playrooms. Yeah. The playrooms are, you just go back to your room and fuck. Yeah. Um, do you have any preferences on that? Um, I like having playrooms because I prefer they're not to be squirt on my bed. But with that said, it is nice. It's fine to go back to your room. And sometimes, especially if it's like a suite, I'm, I'm not usually going to a suite and fucking, there's just not enough room. You know, it's not enough room. It's nice to have, especially if, say, you're staying off property and you're coming for, you know, you get a day pass. So that's nice. You have that option to go play there. But typically, unless it's like the big ballroom where you have multiple beds, I don't usually play. We don't usually play in just like the Swedes. Yeah. No, I think that's it. I think it all depends on, like, the scale of the party. So most of the smaller hotel takeovers won't have the big That's really more for like Naughty Norland, Splash, some of the big brands. Yeah. So for Electric Pleasures, we've actually done what Lacey's talking about and we've taken over two combined suites and we're going to turn that into what we're calling a desire space. Which is nice to have, you know, like if you are absolutely don't want to play in your room or like you said, like if you're staying at the hotel next door, it's nice. You don't have to like try to figure out which room you're going to. So it's lovely to have. have that space. If it was me personally, I would probably just go play in my room. Right. Yeah. So Golf Breeze only has one ballroom. So that's going to be the club. And then we have a few of the suites that are going to be combined into one desire space, which is a pretty big space still. Yeah. I'm excited to see. Yeah. No, it's a really good. Now for Marsh, we're actually going to use some of the ballroom space for we'll have a bigger playroom at the Atlanta Hotel because there's more space to do that. Yeah. Yeah. We all can't be naughty in New Orleans. No. No, we have to start somewhere. Someday, maybe. Maybe someday. But yeah. So I think that's important to note. Any other things that you can think of about like how a hotel takeover is different or what makes it unique from some of the other type of events? Typically, there's a pool party, especially if it's in the summer or if there is an indoor pool. Usually, that's kind of how hotel takeovers are built, especially in the summer, you know, spring, summer, fall months. Typically, you do like the pool during the day. And then at night, you do the party, which would be like your club kind of type experience. So daytime, you know, it's out by the pool. And it can range from topless to you can be fully new depending on the hotel and the rules. So definitely check, you know, the hotel, you know, check not the hotel, the event group that's throwing it will send out information that tells you, you know, what level and there'll be signs and stuff. So definitely check on that. But yeah, typically there's like day activities and then the night would be what would be considered like your club type experience. Yeah, and I think that's the nice thing about hotel takeovers is you are, because you're there 24 hours, so to speak, there are day activities and night activities. And like you said, usually the day parties are pool-centric. Now, I'll say like not in New Orleans, you actually go out on Bourbon Street and they do bar takeovers. Yeah, I was going to say the exception to that would be sometimes they do hotel takeovers in cities that you would want to go to for vacation, which is a good cover story if you want to tell your family like hey I'm going to New Orleans for the week I'm going to the beach for the week you know there's been hotel takeovers in Specky Mountains those are great locations that you can say where you're going and then if you don't want to do the pool activities or whatever's going on during the day you can actually go and sightsee which honestly going and doing vanilla stuff with swinger friends is some of my favorite things yeah like going in I can think of eye candy pigeon Pigeon Forge. We went up on the ski list and did a day at Pigeon Forge. They had pool party going on during the day, but we just chose to go out and do other stuff. That was fun. Especially if it's a multi-day takeover. Maybe save one day for the pool and then one day to go out and sightsee. Especially if people have cover stories. Dana and I are completely open, so everybody knows we're at a swinger party. We don't have to have pictures and stuff, but a lot of people do still require that. Going out and taking pictures by the sites of the town and stuff. It's important. Like in New Orleans, you know, instead of bar hopping for a day, you could go around and see all the sights. It's the beignets, go to the French Quarter, all those things, get the pictures. So then you have that. What people at home don't know is the person that's taking the pictures is a swinger. They just don't have to know that part of it. So that's definitely something that can be different than if you go to a club. Yeah. And then I think something. So I think, you know, now bringing this back to electric pleasures, Where we're a little different, I think, two things. We are looking specifically at locations that will be touristy type locations, right? So our first party is in Gulf Breeze, which is right beside Pensacola, which, you know, you're right there on the Golden Coast. It's, you know, it's a very touristy area. They're going to be there in January. Now, it could be like when we were just there two days ago, it was 80 degrees and nice and sunny. It could be a great day for a beach day or something like that. Or, you know, maybe you just want to go around. There's lots of shops and things to do in that area. But where we're a little different is we're going to have basically a music festival going on during the day. So we're going to have vendors. We're going to have literally a stage. And there's going to be DJs that are every hour change out and are playing like EDM type music sets. Right by the beach. So it's really going to have that musical festival feel during the day. And then kind of those club parties at night. Yeah. Which is a little, I think that's a different take. We've never seen anybody else do that before. I'm sure there's people out there, but yeah. Not here in the area that we're doing it. I can think of that group that we met at Naughty New Orleans. They were, what, in Arizona or somewhere? Something like that. There's something like that similar out there. But yeah, so I think all hotel takeovers are going to offer something different. So it's just figuring out what you want to do during the day. Now, some daytime activities, they'll have classes and things like that. We will have some of that going on at Electric Pleasures. Naughty New Orleans is probably the best at that. You know, bliss cruise has dozens of classes going on all day long. So it can really can be kind of, you know, become a choose your own adventure, right? Do you want to go get a go, go to a handjob class? Or do you want to go to go watch the music? Do you want to go to the pool? Do you want to go do touristy things? It really kind of is almost like an alternative lifestyle vacation that can be kind of choose your own adventure. For sure. So yeah, super exciting. Okay. What else? All right. So now let's talk a little bit about what to bring, right? So you're getting ready to come to Gulf Breeze for your first electric pleasures hotel takeover. Our listeners are getting ready. They're getting ready to pack. What kind of things should they be thinking about bringing? Well, I think the first question is alcohol. Is it BYOB? Some hotel takeovers are and some are not. And it is very, very important that you know that prior to going because that could make a huge difference. If you are someone that drinks alcohol, BYOB is obviously ideal. We all love that, but not all hotels will allow that. So if it is BYOB, make sure you bring your own alcohol. If it's not, just be prepared to pay the hotel their prices. Obviously, you can always drink in your room. So if you're on more of a fixed budget, just like at Secrets, we've talked about this before, you can always drink in your room. take a shot then go out you know or whatever but yeah definitely alcohol is is one of the things that you should think about now you can in a lot of states now you can door dash so if you're flying in or something like that maybe you don't have a rental car you're just ubering to the hotel there are um services now that will bring alcohol to your yeah to your hotel yeah um so yeah definitely if it's a byob which electric pleasures will be a byob event having some kind of plan to bring your alcohol now one note about non-BYOB events. So, you know, the bigger the hotel you get, the more likely it's not going to be BYOB. Yeah. So, if you look at events like Splash, events like Naughty in New Orleans, they have these bigger convention-style hotels. And I think what a lot of people don't realize is to get those hotels, to get those ballroom spaces, it's part of the contract with the hotel that you have to meet certain food and beverage minimums and certain alcohol minimums, right? Right. So they require you. It's not that the event coordinator is trying to make a bunch of money off of you off of the alcohol. That's a requirement of the event space. Yeah. And so I'm not going to say we've done it before, but a lot of people will try to avoid those alcohol costs. We've done it before. And they'll sneak alcohol in and out of the venues, in and out of the pool spaces and things like that. Now that we've done this and we've negotiated these contracts, I can say it's very important that if you If you value that group or that event and you want it to keep happening in those hotels, the event producer will lose money. If they don't meet those alcohol sales minimums, they have to cough up the money. And a lot of times that money is not in the budget for them. So if they have to pay that money themselves, the food and alcohol and the budget, they have to pay that out of their own pocket. It basically makes it so the event is not profitable. They'll lose money. And then if they lose money, I'm sure they're only going to do that once or twice before they stop throwing the party. So, if you are somebody that's going to a group where they require you to buy alcohol from the venue itself, realize that doing that is helping that venue be able to continue that party. So, you know, I get, you know, if you're, listen, if you are struggling and on a budget and can't afford it, do what you got to do. Nobody's judging you. But if you are somebody that can afford to pay for that alcohol and the food from the hotel, that really is going to enable that party to continue going forward. So, I've realized that here in the last couple years of negotiating these contracts that I always thought was just these people are making all kinds of money it's whatever yeah um no those food and beverage is our minimum you know our our big deal yeah they can make or break a group for sure yeah okay what else so alcohol what else are we decorating your room is another thing so uh what and especially depending on where you're going to be so some hotel takeovers have a party floor which is where a lot of people will hang out typically If you get on the party floor, it's kind of assumed that you will prop your door open and kind of not, I mean. Be part of the party. Yeah, be part of the party. You don't, you're not required typically to do anything. I mean. Sometimes they assign rooms on the party floor where specifically if they do like a room crawl or something like that, you're, you have to provide shots. If you're not in an assigned room, it's still somewhat assumed that if you're on the party floor, you're going to be hoping. the party happened. Yeah. And so know that, like sometimes, like one time we went to a party and the only room they had was the party floor. And so we're like, we have a room, but it's on the party floor. You're like, okay, that means we have to, we got to entertain. We got to, you know, maybe throw up a table, give out some shots, you know, something like that. So in those cases, and even if you're not on the party floor, you could still might want to create a vibe in your room. So any kind of lights, any kind of signs, maybe having, Asterio. What are those things called? Like a Bluetooth speaker? Yeah, Bluetooth speaker. It's just any of those things that kind of help create the vibe. Also, squirt blankets. If you're like me and you don't want people to squirt on your bed, investing in a couple of squirt blankets would be a good thing. So, stuff like that is kind of anything to add to that? Yeah, condoms. Oh, yeah. Lube. Yeah. Condoms and lube are always important to remember. We usually bring a fan. type fans. These hotels are notorious for the heating and air conditioning not to be able to keep up. They're not used to, you know, two or three, four or five hundred swingers in a conference space. It's always hot. Every swinger party. Just assume if you're in a hotel takeover, some of the spaces are going to get really hot. So planning, you know, light clothing and bringing like fans and stuff like that is important. ID. Yeah. Don't forget your ID. You're going to have to check into the hotel and you'll have to to verify your age and who you are and your tickets and stuff like that. So for some reason, we've had people show up to our events and they give us their name and we don't have them on our event list. And it's hard for us to figure out why we don't have them and then come to find out they checked their profile name within a different name. Like made up a name. Right. So, you know, actually make sure you check your tickets, see what name you have on the ticket. So when you check in. Now, we do require our guests to provide an actual, their legal name for legal reasons. they have to do that. But if for some reason you did buy the tickets under an assumed name, make sure you know what that name is so that you can correct it when you get to the desk. Yeah. Snacks is also another thing. You need to make sure that you're eating so that way you're not shit-paced, for lack of a better word. You want to make sure you eat. And if you, you know, again, if you're on a fixed budget, you don't want to, or if you just don't want to leave, you don't want to door dash, a lot of times they'll have a refrigerator. If not, You could bring a cooler. Sometimes, you know, people will make stuff in crockpots. I've seen, we've seen a little bit of everything. So it's also fun to go out to dinner with your friends. So if you can get away and, you know, get sober up for a couple hours, get some food in your belly, that's a good thing. People will bring all kinds of things. Like you said, we've seen skillets, which I don't know if I recommend that. Some hotels actually don't allow that. But like you're saying, if you have a microwave, you know, food, snacks, things like that. There's nothing better than some good snacks at two o'clock in the morning. Robes are a pretty common thing. You know, if you're going from your room to like a play space or something like that, or like Lacey said, a lot of times the hot tubs and the pools and stuff will be clothing optional. But between the hot tubs or the pool and your room is not. So having a robe or something that you can kind of throw on to navigate the hallways is always a good idea. Yeah. Change of clothes, change of shoes. A lot of times, just like a club, hojo takeovers, you will start in like your theme. And then at some point, especially the girls will change into lingerie or something, you know, maybe less formal. So at that, you know, making sure you have options to change if you want. You don't have to, but if you wanted to, you have that option. And then usually for me, I start out in my heels and then slowly change into different things as the night goes on. Right. So that actually brings us to, let's finish, we'll finish this section since you kind of touched on it a little bit and then we'll take a break and then we'll go on. But the next section is what to wear. So let's talk. This is probably Lacey's favorite subject to talk about on the podcast. I get asked about it a lot. And on TikTok. And it is, especially for women, what to wear is much debated and something that people think a lot about. Yeah. So let's talk in general. What kind of things do you wear to a hotel takeover? And is it different than like a club or something like that? I think it is different than a club. I think overall, I've seen the lifestyle in the last few years shift more from like traditional drugs. and heels and men in nice jeans and a button-up. I feel like it's transitioned away from that into more of like rave type outfits, especially when it is something involving like water, like a pool, like think secrets and stuff like that. But you kind of have to like know your crowd. For instance, we just went to Splash Fort Lauderdale. It was a little bit of an older crowd. So where we showed up in kind of rave outfits, everybody else had dresses and heels on. I mean, the truth is nobody gives a shit what you wear. You know, nobody's going to not want to fuck you because you have a rave outfit on and they have a dress on or vice versa. That's not really what it's about. And that's something I have to tell myself even now. Like, for instance, last weekend we went to trapeze. My outfit was completely different than every single person there. Everybody else had Christmas outfits on and I had a pink dress on. I stood out like a sore thumb. But nobody gave a shit, you know. And I think that's something that I'm learning as I'm getting older, as we've been doing this longer. As long as you feel good with what you have on, that's really the most important thing. Yeah. No, I think that's important. I do agree with you. I think if you look at clubs, specifically if you look at some of like, you know, the clubs that have been around for a while and are more like upscale. So I'm thinking like Colette. I'm thinking like Trapeze. Those are very much a button up shop. shirt you know dress pants shoes yeah um you know a lot of them will require the male to have some type of button up shirt or collar and dresses and things like that it's very you know it's more formal more club wear um you know dress to impress type environment where a lot of these hotel takeovers um are transitioning much more to this is a party this is a rave this is a you can run around on a thong and some pasties uh you know you can including the men you're a guy so many guys in Now, so many guys wearing like short, like booty short kind of, you know, tank tops, you know, mesh shirts, things like that. From my perspective, even the clubs, it's so frigging hot. Yeah. I don't want to be wearing jeans in a dress shirt. Yeah. And let's be honest, even at Colette and Trapeze and stuff, a lot of times by the end of the night, I still end up in my underwear, right? Yeah. So I had to have those jeans and a button up to get through the door. But by the end of the night, I'm dancing in my underwear and nobody Yeah, I would say kind of, especially for a man, dress where you can... Get in the door. You can get in the door and then you can take off layers. Like maybe like have your boxers match your shirt or whatever. So that way you can slow... And honestly, that's kind of what I do. I usually walk out of the room in like my theme outfit with all my accessories and my hair and my... But then kind of as soon as I get in there and start dancing or take the pictures, I'm losing things. The heels are the first thing to go. The heels, the earrings, whatever's on my head. If I have a boa, it's gone. I just, I feel like it's a little. You start sweating. You start getting hot. Yeah. It starts, it's very quickly kind of comes off. So I would say dressing, like plan different versions, you know, like for instance, if the theme is something with blue, maybe start with a blue dress, but then have blue lingerie and, you know, just have different versions so you can take things off. I've also found that don't just bring one dress or just bring one thing because I've had I've had zippers break, I've had, you know, something not look right or, you know, vice versa. But at the end of the day, as long as you're comfortable in what you're wearing, you're going to have fun. Okay. Well, any advice about like, a lot of hotel takeovers, like you said, during the day are pool centric. Are there pool centric outfits that you recommend? Just a bathing suit that you feel comfortable in. And then obviously, if you want to take your top off, you can. If you don't, that's fine too. Yeah, just, I think Something you would wear. Like a sexy version of a swimsuit. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So for Electric Pleasure specifically, this is a music festival branded hotel takeover. So we are leaning very much into the rave wear type of thing. But you can't be nude in the public spaces for us. Right. Yeah. So the minimum is like a thong and pasties. Yeah. If you're a guy, I guess the minimum is a thong. Yeah. Just mostly to respect the hotel and stuff like that. It's a lot of work to black out everywhere that you can. Now, if we do have pool parties, which we are planning for the summer and maybe into the fall, our pool parties will be probably topless. But everywhere else, it's going to be thongs and pasties at a minimum. So definitely embrace that. But even then, saying that we're leaning into the rave wear, if you're comfortable in a little black dress and you want to wear a little black dress to one of our events, nobody is going to, you know, if you'd rather wear a dress, and rave clothing to one of our events, that's completely acceptable and nobody's going to look at you in any different way for that. Correct. What about shoes and stuff like that? Any advice for that? I know that's a big thing. Yeah, I mean, I feel like girls are slowly getting away from heels, personally. I feel like the whole new generation of kids wear tennis shoes to the club now. Color matched tennis shoes, right? So if you're wearing a little blue rave outfit, They got their blue fucking Air Force Ones on. Yeah. Which is so cute. And some of them are bedazzled. And they're bedazzling them to match their outfits. So cute. So cute. Okay. So that means I can buy all the pairs? No. No. I don't know how they afford them. I know. So yeah. And definitely you don't have to have Air Force Ones. I can't. They would kill me if I bought every color. And Amazon sneakers. Amazon has so many different crazy looking cool shoes. Just type in like Rave, Sparkle. colors now. I've slowly been buying them over the last year or so. But you can get a color in just about anything. And they're like $35, $40. They're not bad at all. I think the most you'll probably spit on a pair is $50. Because they're not like a brand. And they're really comfortable. Especially the stuff that you're going to be walking around a lot. I say ditch the heels. Maybe use them for the picture if you want. But I would say ditch the heels shortly after. And just have fun. Because that's what it's about. Now, I will say, it is kind of true, right? So we talked about how like the older school mentality was, you know, dresses and, you know, club wear. I've seen at some of the events, thinking like Splash Fort Lauderdale, these girls come out in thongs, topless, but with high heels on at the pool. Oh, that's like an old school swinger thing. Yeah, and that's like, don't get me wrong, that's impressive. It's hot. It's fucking hot as shit, you know. A swinger wife always has on. Heels at the pool. If you don't know, there's one of the owners of Secrets. He's since sold his part of it, but they were Frederick and Barbie. They are very old school swingers. Had her heels on all the time. You never didn't see her at the pool with her heels on. It's very impressive. You're not going to catch my ass in heels at the pool. I think that's going away. It's hot though. You're not seeing that. Again, if you did that at one of our events or you did that at Secrets, If nobody's going to bat an eye, that is definitely... No, we're going to cheer you on. That's a sexy move to make. Yeah. I just don't know how they do it. No, yeah. Okay. I think now, anything else on what to wear? I don't think so. We talked about shoes. We talked about outfits. When it comes down to it, at the end of the day, it's what you have to wear to get through the door and what you're the most comfortable with. Yeah. Right? So if you're overthinking outfits, just think, what am I going to feel confident and sexy in and what am I going to be comfortable in? Yeah. And wear that. And then, For hotel takeovers, there's usually not a dress code minimum for any hotel takeover, other than maybe where you can and can't be naked. Yeah, a lot of times they don't want you to be naked in the lobby and stuff like that, just to be respectful of the workers. They ask that you cover. Right. That's mostly the only dress code you'll see at hotel takeovers is where you can and can't be nude. Other than that, they don't usually have a requirement for collared shirts or any of that kind of stuff. Now, the clubs are different. And so, you know, if you're going to a club, I'd say, What you have to wear to get into the door and then get comfortable. Okay. I think now is a perfect time to take a little break and hear from the partners and sponsors of the Swing Nation podcast. And then when we get back, we're going to get more into the do's and don'ts of hotel takeovers. Okay. All right. We'll be right back, guys. Thank you. Lacey, if you're going to be a swinger. Yeah. You need to be a responsible swinger. I agree. being a responsible swinger is getting tested on a regular basis. Yeah. Now, something I didn't know is not all STI STD testing is the same. That is correct. Not every family doctor fully understands how you should be getting tested. That is correct. What one doctor thinks is a full panel, another doctor may have a completely different version of that. And being somebody in the lifestyle and engaging with multiple partners, If you're not telling your doctor that, what you should be getting tested for is probably different than what they're thinking in their head. Yeah, because they don't know your lifestyle. Or even if they do know your lifestyle, there's a like, for instance, there is a new one called MGen. And we just recently met a doctor at a lifestyle party and said that she had never even heard about it. And so she was awesome that we had educated her on that. So a lot of these doctors don't, they don't know it all. Right. So if you are going to participate in the lifestyle, You probably need to get tested from people that are meant to do this. Yes. So we use I Know My Status. It's the same people behind Talent Testing. It's a company that tests all the porn stars. So they're used to testing people that engage with multiple partners. They know all the latest on what STIs are coming up and spreading. And they track all the stats. I mean, they know how to test people for STIs. They're the experts. They are. And if someone that you engage with, you know, if they have used I Know My Status, they can actually give you a QR code and you can scan it and you can see their results right on your phone so you can confirm everything that they're telling you. Yeah, 100%. So please, if you're getting tested, get tested the right way. We recommend using I Know My Status. You can go to theswingnation.info, recommended apps and products, scroll down to the I Know My Status icon and you can get a discount off your first test. But please, if you're swinging, if you're engaging with people in the community, please be safe about it. Go get tested. Yeah, because we want you to fuck like a porn star. For sure. Lacey, the question we get asked on social media and TikTok more than any other question is how do I find lifestyle people, lifestyle events, lifestyle parties, lifestyle cruises, lifestyle people? I think I already said that. Yeah. In my area. Basically anything lifestyle you need. How do I find it? You need to get on a swinger website. And SDC is one of our favorites. It's really big here in the Southeast U.S. for sure. Yeah. And it has all the clubs listed. It has all the parties listed. You can find information on cruises. You can find our podcasts on SDC. Yeah, you can. And if you want to try it completely risk-free, we have a free trial link for you. We do, yeah. So how do people go and find that free trial link? If you go to theswingnation.info and scroll to the bottom, you're going to find some of our favorites. favorite products and brands. And you're just going to click that link and go straight there. All right. If you guys want to find lifestyle people in your area, go sign up for SDC, completely risk-free, and see if it works for you. I agree. All right, guys. Go check it out. Lacey, one thing I don't leave home without when going to a swinger event is my ED medication. That is correct. Performance anxiety is 100% a real thing. Having sex in an orgy room with 100 people in there is way different than having sex at home in your bedroom. It is. So I like to have what we call little insurance policy and have some of that ED medication in my pocket. Shameless Care is who I use for that. And they actually just came out with a new product called the Shameless Duo. Yeah. Which is a combination medicine that has Viagra and Cialis in it. So that one, you can be ready whenever. that dose that you can take when you're, you know, as you're getting ready to go to the playroom and you need that to kick in. Yeah. So I love it. I mean, I used it at Hedo for the first time and that combination. You've kind of pretty much switched to that, haven't you? That's basically what I use all the time now. Yeah. So if you're looking for ED medication, if you're new to the lifestyle and you're going to an event, you might want to get some and have it just handy in case you need it kind of thing. Yeah. And the really cool thing about Shameless Care is they don't set you up on a reoccurring plan. So you're not going to get, all of this ED medication that you have in your nightstand built up. When it's time that you need more, you'll get an email from them and they'll ask you, hey, are you ready for another round? And you can respond back. Yes, please refill it or no, I'm good right now. Thank you. So it's really cool because you don't end up with all these extra pills and spend a bunch of money that you're not, you know, you don't need to spend. Yeah. And my favorite part is you don't actually have to go into an office and talk to your family doctor or a military doctor. all right online from the privacy of your home. You just go to the website, you fill out some forms, the doctor reviews it, approves you, disapproves you, and you move on from there. So if you would like to get some medication, you can go to theswingnation.info, click on the little recommended apps and products, scroll down to the shameless care icon, click on that, and that's going to take you over there. There's some discount codes there for you so you can get a discount off your first order. But I highly recommend if you're going to, events or parties. Go get you some lifestyle insurance. All right, guys. Check it out. All right, guys. Welcome back. Welcome back. Thank you for listening to our sponsors. Lacey loves our sponsors. I do. Okay. So when we left you, we had just finished off. We're talking all things hotel takeovers. We are. So we talked about what to pack. We talked about what to wear. Now I want to get a little bit into the do's and the don'ts. Okay. All right. I think there are some common mistakes that we see all the time at hotel takeovers and really at swinger events in general. So I think we can maybe give people some advice for that. The first thing that comes to my mind is because a lot of these events are BYOB, you see a lot of overindulging in alcohol. Yeah. Specifically when it comes to room crawls. and things like that seems to be where a lot of people will mess up so let's talk a little bit about overindulging so for room crawls yeah they've been known to fuck people up and to the point where like when we are considering what we're going to do at our parties it's a question of should we do it because people can because we don't know if people can right so for electric pleasures our first like pleasures and gulf breeze we are doing a room crawl yeah and and it is going to be encouraged for people that are hosting the room crawl rooms to give out shots of alcohol or some kind of give out a cookie give out a treat give out a snack give out something yeah um but we had in our um business meeting with our partners there was some discussion of should we do this because when there's problems at these events it's always it's something often centers around people drinking too much at the room crawl yeah um so you know look we're being very transparent with you and telling you that was a conversation that we had with our business partners because it is known to cause issues. So our advice to you is do the room crawl. You do not have to take shots in every single room. I would actually advise against taking shots. What I do is I pick a liquor to like say vodka because that's kind of common because it's kind of cheap for room crawls. And I take every other vodka shot that I see. So I don't take, you know, so like if five rooms have it, I might take two or three most. Because if I switch liquors, that'll fuck me up. If I take a shot in every room, that will surely fuck me up. And I'll still go through the line. I still say hello. I'm just like, I'm going to pass on this one. Thank you. Nobody cares. Nobody's mad. I'll ask them what's in it and they usually are fine. And that has saved me more times than it has not. That's kind of like a good rule of thumb for me. Yeah, I just think you have to be, you know, I think because you're going room to room to room And these people have decorated the rooms. They've made these cool shots. There's almost like a little bit of peer pressure to take a shot. For sure. It is completely okay to say, hey, you know, I can't drink that much. Yeah. And let's be honest. Great job on your room. Great job on your shot. It's usually cheap alcohol. Yeah. You know, it's not, it's not the best alcohol. So you could really get fucked up and not even make it to the night portion. It's not worth ruining. You know, you pay, you traveled, you paid money to be here. You're looking to have a good time. The fastest time to ruin your night is in the taking all those shots. Yeah. And we've had friends not make it to like the night portion because the whole half of secrets because they, you know, room crawl and then end up in bed. And there's always somebody that's shit faced, you know, that you can't get out of your room. And we've told stories about it. So I think just it's better to not be that person than be that person. Also eating, you know, like before, because there usually is like a break between whatever the day activities are in this. Depending on what time it is. Making sure you're eating. Either before or after. So that way you can kind of sober up. Before you go into. I know some people. Like kind of have to like. Maintain. Or they crash. I'm not that kind of person. I usually can either choose day or night. I can't keep going all day. So me personally. I don't drink. Much. If anything during the day. And then just drink at night. Because it's just. It's too hard for me. To keep going. Too much alcohol for me. Yeah. Now I will say, so another pro tip, right? And I'm thinking like Secrets, I'm thinking Hedo, I'm thinking Bliss Cruise, even these hotel takeovers. It's not a bad idea, right? If you are partying at the pool during the day, if you're partying at the stage for electric pleasures during the day, to take a break, go eat, take a nap, take a shower, and get ready, right? So taking a break between the day portion and the night portion, is a really crucial move to make. I do it every single time. And you'll see me, I'll leave about four-ish. I'll leave Dan sometimes. I'm like, I'm going to the roof. I'll be DJing sometimes or I'll be hosting, you know, pool parties. And I don't always sleep. I would say nine times out of ten, I don't sleep. I usually just like disconnect, you know, shut my door, close the window, allow myself an hour or so just to kind of like remove myself because it can be too much, you know, all at once. Not everybody does that. But for me, I have to. Well, and it's a good time to eat food, right? Yes. Sometimes you just forget, right? You get busy, you're partying, you're hanging out with your friends. If it was you, you probably wouldn't eat. But I make sure you eat. So I make sure during that time I'm ordering us food or I'm going to the restaurant and getting it or whatever because I know that that's my job to make sure both of us eat. So I'll be coming in on two wheels and basically be like, your food is right there. Eat something before you go back out there. Yeah. I think that's a crucial so let's talk to more do's and don'ts let's talk a little bit about consent because I think that is an important thing to talk about so at these hotel takeovers you're going to be on the dance floor and dancing with people you're going to be in pools naked with people consent is a big deal and I think the lifestyle is really really pushing it hard and I think you know there might have been some things that were acceptable 10 years ago that aren't acceptable today But I think that's an important thing to talk about. Consent is a big deal, period, anywhere you go. Thank goodness the lifestyle is very big on it and really promotes it. I'm super grateful for that. But yeah, I mean, I think this conversation is the same no matter what venue you're at. I think you always ask before you touch, even before you hug someone. You know, I think always, you know, you do that before you walk into anyone's room. You ask permission to come. I mean, I mean, there's like lots, especially associated with like, a hotel takeover, there's lots of different... Things that could be happening? Yeah. So you're always wanting... Dynamics that are going on. Yes. You always want to ask before you do basically anything. For sure. And I think a lot of times when we see fights or... I don't see a ton of that, but a lot of times it is at hotel takeovers where you see a lot of this, where there's issues. I think because you're in your rooms, there's alcohol... Alcohol is usually free-flowing in the rooms. I just think it's kind of a recipe for disaster. So, you know, talking about alcohol, like minding that, making sure you're not overindulging. And then before you do anything, you are always asking for consent. So, that way, there's never a question. I think it's very, very important. Yeah. So, that's highly encouraged, right? So, if it's, hey, can I dance with you? It's all right if I dance with you. Yeah. Hey, is it all right if I kiss you? Yeah. Hey, you know, basically, if you're going to touch another human being that person, you should be saying, hey, is it okay if I... And that goes for same-sex, too. That goes for us ladies. You know, that goes when we kiss another woman or, you know, I think sometimes the girls get away with more than guys do. And that's something that I've even had to, like, remind myself about. You just can't go up to somebody and hug. You know, you have to ask permission. So I think that's important to notate as well. Okay. Can we talk a little bit about... the venue and the staff at the venue, maybe some ways to treat them. I think that's important, right? So again, as somebody that now has had to coordinate with hotels and negotiate contracts and, you know, we are very, we're always thinking about, hey, we don't want to screw this up because we want to come back here and we want to host another party here. So I think when you interact with staff, realize that they're not part of the party, right? They don't want to see your boobs. They don't want to see you naked they don't want to see you fucking um and you know that hotel is is a hotel right so like throwing glitter everywhere or you know screwing nail holes in the walls or you know uh breaking things you know moving furniture around i do think that swingers sometimes walk through the door and forget that they're like real functioning members of society because on normal occasions they would like because they're like teachers and doctors and nurses and and business owners so i think under normal situations, they would never behave that way. But sometimes we forget who we are, which is lovely. This is kind of why we love the lifestyle. You get to walk through the doors and be somebody else. I still think we should always go back to treat others the way you would like to be treated. Like you said, if that was your hotel, you wouldn't want somebody to come in and throw glitter all over it or hang a bunch of pictures or treat the staff badly. Imagine if that was your kid that was Vanilla, that was your 20-year-old kid or 21-year-old kid working in the front desk. Imagine. Yeah, we've seen things like lube slip and slides down hallways before. Yeah, not a good idea. Listen, Dan is swinger Dan. That sounds like a fucking amazing time. Dan is event host Dan who has to negotiate a contract with that hotel and come back again. Could you imagine? That sounds like a terrible idea. Right now, I'm going to have to be paying for carpet and then I'm going to have to explain to the manager a while why people were lube sliding down the hallway. So I think sometimes, like you're saying, We get so excited to be cut loose and let free that we forget this is a real business and these are real people. And if we fuck this up, it ruins it for everybody, right? Because if you lose a hotel, you might never have another event in that city again. You know what I mean? Because a lot of these hotels, it's hard to find a hotel. Once you fuck up a relationship with a hotel, it's really hard to find another hotel. Yeah, yeah. I think they're already discriminating against us just off the bat because we are swingers and we're kind of known for this. these wild-taste parties and things like lubes slip inside and stuff like that. So I think people should just be mindful of that before they go get. Obviously, have fun. Let loose. Have a good time. But just let's all just be respectful of everyone and everything. Right. So I say this two-fold. One, just so everybody knows. But then two, please don't fuck up our hotel at Electric Pleasures. Because we want to do that one again. Don't fuck up anybody's hotel. No, true. Exactly. Yeah. I think that's worth noting. Then the staff. You know, So, treating them appropriately, I think, is also really important. And I will say, for the most part, I think swingers do a very, very good job at this. They're great at tipping. They're kind. A lot of, like, especially, like, on list crews and something, they have the staff, they want to work. They think, they love that everybody is so happy and so happy to be there and stuff like that. So, just keep that in mind. Yeah. I think, really, if swingers get in trouble for anything, it's the, maybe, exposing staff the things that they don't necessarily want to be exposed to. too. And I think most of these venues understand that some of that is incidental. But if you are somebody that just goes down to the front desk butt-ass naked, like, you know, if you accidentally locked yourself out of the room and you didn't have a choice, that's one thing. But if you're doing it just to do it, that's something else, right? So try to be mindful and respectful. Yeah, tipping staff and things like that is huge. I will say, you know, seeing Bliss Crew, seeing Hedo, some of these people treat these people like family. Oh, for sure. People that go back to Hedo every year, they know the staff there. You know, after that last the amount of money and stuff that people raise for them. Well, and like on the Facebook post, people are like, have you seen so-and-so? Or how was this person's family? Did their house make it? You could really see how people had like genuine friendships with the employees at that resort. And it was very, it was nice to see. Yeah, I agree. And that's the kind of relationships I think we want to develop with the staff and things at our hotels. And I think would encourage you, if you're, if you, you know, if you go to a swing or hotel, party once a month or once a quarter or something like that. Get to know those staff. Take care of them and they'll take care of you. I think those are the type of relationships as a community we want to develop across the board. Yeah. Okay, let's talk one more do and don't. Let's talk about cameras, taking videos, and taking pictures. Yeah. This is a hot button topic that everybody gets up in arms about. I'm thinking about how I want to answer this. Because I think you should be able to take pictures. Even if I didn't have a TikTok, if I didn't have any social media, I want to be able to document my cute outfits. I want to be able to put them on SLS or SDC or whatever. I want people to see that we were at Hedo or that we were at, it's kind of like a brag. It's like a nice little, like, you know, we got to do all these fun things. So I think there always should be places to be able to do that. But I do think you should be very, very mindful of when you're doing it. Because you have to remember, not everybody wants their photos out there. So I think everyone should be very mindful of where they're taking their pictures, where they're recording. And then also, not only that, but where are you putting that? If you are uploading it, is everybody's face in the background blurred out? Stuff like that. We take that very seriously to the point where, you know, We hire photographers and stuff. We have hundreds of thousands of pictures that we cannot use because we're never going to expose someone. So I don't know. I'm kind of torn on that. I'm going to let you jump in here. No, I think what you just said is the rules. And so I think for us, for Electric Pleasures, there's actually a lot of talk about this with us and our business partners because this brand is a music festival style brand. There was some talk about, well, this isn't really a swingers party. Right. And we did that intentionally. We don't want it to be labeled as just a swingers party. Right. We want a space where maybe you just like music. Yeah. Right. You can come and just listen to music. You don't have to be a swinger. Maybe you're a poly. Maybe you're gay or bi and you just want a sexually open friendly space where you can come and party and feel welcome and invited and included. So there was a lot of talk about, well, if this isn't a swingers party, do we have to? be as closed when it comes to videos and photography. And ultimately, the answer we came to is yes, because the last thing we want to do is out somebody. The last thing we want to do is somebody at our party not feel comfortable or safe because their picture gets put somewhere and people put one and two together and they end up getting outed. So our rule is going to be the same for electric pleasures as it is for Swinger Society, as it is for every event that we've ever hosted and thrown, is you can absolutely take pictures. but you need consent of everybody that's in that picture and you should absolutely not be posting any pictures of people that in that picture that didn't give one consent to be in the picture but also that know you're posting it publicly right because just because your friend took a picture with you doesn't mean that that friend wants you putting that picture on a public facing facebook picture yeah and then i think also being mindful of who's in the background do you know how many just scrolling instagram and stuff how many people that we can identify in the back of people's pictures. I mean, luckily, we know. But you'd be surprised how many people's families and stuff are looking to see. Oh, yeah. You know, I mean. Yeah, I think we are mindful of it because we have such a large platform. So every time we post a picture, you know, tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions of people see the picture that we post. For most people, it's their hundred people that follow them on social media. But still, though, they don't know who's following. But like you're saying, especially if you have a public profile, Right. You can't control who's going to see it. Basically. So I think you have to be very mindful of it. Now, us as event coordinators, as event producers, we can't control that. Right. We're going to set the rules. And if we see people violating the rules, we will step in, correct it. And if it's obnoxious violations, they won't come back to an event. Right. So I can promise you that as an event producer that we're going to set the rules and the rules are going to be you have to have consent from people before you take their picture and you have to not catch people in the background and you cannot post those pictures. unless you have the consent of everybody involved, right? I'm never going to stop everybody at an event from taking pictures. I'm never going to be able to know 100% who took pictures, who didn't, who was in the background, who wasn't in the background. All I can say is we will set clear rules and we'll force them to the best of our ability. Really, this is a community thing, right? You have to police yourself. You have to police each other. We all have to kind of watch out for each other and just do the best that we can, right? And I think if everybody does that, it's not going to be an issue. for the most part, right? And we'll have a good thing. Now, we're going to have photo backdrops, 360 cameras. We'll put backdrops up everywhere. There's a beautiful beach there that you can take pictures at. So there's going to be plenty. There's a stage. You can take pictures of the stage and the DJs and make some cool videos with the stage and the lights and the lasers and all that stuff. So there'll be plenty of opportunities at our events for you to get some cool Instagrams and TikToks and photos and stuff like that. We just ask that you be respectful. of the spaces and respectful of the other people that are there and not accidentally out somebody. Yeah. And it's too easy. And that goes for any hotel takeover, any party, anything that you are. There are other events that they're much more serious about it. They won't let you take a camera into their parties and things like that. So there definitely are others that are much more strict on these rules. I think kind of the way we're handling it is the future. I think most people want to have their phones. to take pictures. Just having the appropriate spaces for that is important. I feel like more clubs and more events are leaning into the cameras, if anything. Yeah, I agree. Yeah. Okay. Let's talk a little bit about expectations. Okay. Because I think that is something where people get a little confused about, right? So they think, all right, I paid, you know, my whatever, $500,000 to go to this event. That means I'm going to get laid and people are going to want to fuck me and it's going to be wild orgies and I can jump into all this sex and it's going to be great. I think if people are looking to go to parties and even specifically our parties, what should be their expectations leading up to an event? Well, regardless of if you're at a hotel takeover, a club, a house party, whatever, there should never be an expectation to play. Never. It should never be required that you play. So if you If you're required, that's a red flag. Or if you're a person going in with the expectation that you have to play, that you need to change your mindset, you should go in wanting to have fun. And that's it. If something happens, awesome, great. And I do understand the pressure because you paid money to go to it. And it's internal pressure. You know, it's not pressure from the outside world. It's pressure to be like, Oh, my husband spent $500 in this weekend. We better hook up with somebody. He's going to be pissed. Or vice versa. I'm going to be pissed if I don't. I get the internal pressures of that. I just think of Hedo, for instance. You spend $5,000 to go to Hedo and you're like, well, fuck, I better be fucking somebody for $5,000. But the truth is you just need to go in and have fun. That's really what it's all about. And at the end of the day, go to the playroom and fuck your spouse. If that's all. If that's all that happens, That's really hot and a lot of fun. Or go to the playroom and just watch. I'm thinking like our Electric Pleasures event. Even if you spend the day, you don't make any connections, you go to the club and you're getting ready to go to bed and you're like, oh, fuck. We didn't end up hooking up with anybody tonight. Well, you and your partner, just go take a lap. Just go walk through the playrooms and see what's going on. One, you might see a friend in there and get pulled into something. Or two, you're going to get fucking turned on and then you're going to go have awesome sex. you end up having sex in there with your partner but maybe you end up going back to your room and having some awesome sex but at least then you you had an experience right for sure i think that what what happens is we go into these events and we've set all these you know we think in our mind oh this is going to be amazing we're going to be having orgies every night and i listen to dan and lacy and it's going to be just like that and we're going to have all and we build up like this perfect you know you know story in our mind about what's going to happen and then it doesn't happen and we're disappointed or we think it's just going to fall into our You have to make it happen. And we stand in the corner and we're like, nobody's talking to us. Which we've done that. Nobody's trying to fuck us. Yeah. Which we've done that. So we're not saying, you know, it's not coming from us telling you that we see other. We do that too sometimes. We totally do. Yeah. So we are just as guilty as everybody. So you have to like force yourself out of the corner. You have to force yourself to talk. You have to force yourself to make a move. Sometimes the move's not going to work out. Sometimes it will. And that's just kind of part of it. Yeah. So I think the key to having success at these events is putting yourself out there. Yeah. Right. You've got to be confident. You've got to go up. You've got to talk to people. You've got to, you know, introduce yourself. You've got to tell them, hey, yeah, this is, you know, me and Lacey, we really like having orgies and full swaps. We love being in big groups. And, you know, some people, times people just hearing that, they're like, you know, they'll be like, oh, that couple's hot. And then later on, they'll be like, you know, getting ready for an orgy. They'll be like, hey, we're going to, you guys said you like orgies. We're getting ready to go do one. You guys want to come with us? Yeah. You know, there's just that little That little bit of introduction, let them know that that would be something you were into. We're all thinking the same thing. I want to fuck you, and I want to fuck you, but I don't want to come across creepy and weird, and I don't want to say it. Lacey gets frustrated with me sometimes because I'm too forward, or she's like, you're being pushy. I'm like, no, I'm just putting it out there that, hey, this is what we're doing and what's going to happen. They can make a decision on what they want to do. I tend to like things to be a little bit more natural, and Dan is more like, it's 12 o'clock, we're Who's going with us? You know, which honestly, he's right. If he wasn't doing that, somebody's got to make the move to make it happen. I just get uncomfortable when he does that. I'm like, Oh, that's so weird. You know, I just wanted to now I just want us to naturally end up there. A lot of times I'll leave it. I'll say, Hey, it's midnight. We're going to go to the playroom and fuck anybody that wants to, you know, like, and I'll say this to three or four or five couples. If you guys want to join us, that's what we'll be. And then we'll just go. And it's really, it's not, you know, there's no price. It's up to you. Like if you go, Change and Shower and Come. Clearly, you want to be there, right? It's not like I drug you by the hand. It's like, you're coming to an orgy with us. But I think a lot of times giving people the opportunity to participate is all they need. They're waiting for that invite. Somebody just has to say it. They're waiting for somebody to start it and things like that. So to give you that advice, if you're going to an event and you want to have experience, you've got to let it be known that you're open to those experiences and then show up. If you come up to these events and you sit in a corner thinking that people are going to come up to you and it's all going to just fall in your lap, it might but 9 out of 10 times it's not going to be what's going to happen. And a lot of people leave these type of parties pissed off because... We've had people email us saying I paid all this money to come to an event and nothing happened. Or nobody talked to us or whatever. And they're upset. And the truth is you have to initiate it. If you are sitting at a table by yourself or standing in a corner by yourself, a lot of times that's not super inviting. Sometimes you can do everything right. You can put yourself out there. You can talk to people. You can look the hottest. It just so happens sometimes it's just a timing thing. You went to the bathroom as everybody else was leaving or you went and changed and then you come back and people went to go fuck and they didn't realize you weren't there. Sometimes that shit just happens and you can't take it overly personal and you can't get upset about it. it. Shit just happens. All you can do is make the best of the situation that you have and take advantage of the opportunities you get. And if you do that, you're going to have fun nine out of ten times. Yes, I agree. Okay. That's really all I got for notes for hotel takeovers. Do you want to talk a little bit more about electric pleasures? What are your goals for electric pleasures going forward? I didn't. You're not prepared for that? No. No, I'm not prepared for that. I don't. I think, you know, I think I think we're leaning into the alternative lifestyle music festival thing and I think that's going to set the tone a little different we want to be as inclusive as we can right so I want as many LGBT I a friendly people as we can we want as many of the kinksters the BDS I want anybody that is open-minded to feel comfortable at our events I want to really set the tone for consent and things like that so our you know at our playrooms you're going to see consent monitors you're going to see you know people walking around taking care, all that stuff. I just want it to be a safe, fun place for people to have lots of kinky sex if they want to or not, if they don't want to. I think that's kind of the goals. Agreed. And I think it's going to be good. I'm super excited about it. The closer we get to it, the more excited I get. Well, good. And I want as many of you to come out and party with us as possible. I also think it is a good, if you've never been to an event like this, or maybe if you're a vanilla type person and you're not even sure if this is the world for you it could also i think it's this these events electric pleasure events are going to be equally as fun if you're vanilla the whole time as if you end up swinging swapping yeah if you just want to dress cute and listen to good music it's a great place to be and maybe peek your head in and see a little spicy stuff i think that's a great place because it is like pasties only it's not you know it's not going to be shoved on your face yeah and i think you know so we've got a lot of questions that are about like well is swinger society dead is it on. So just so everybody's on the same page, Electric Pleasures is the music, alternative lifestyle-friendly music festivals. Swinger Society is fucking Swinger Society, right? So that is Swinger-centric events. So when we do Secrets Takeovers, if we take over any Swingers Clubs, that's going to be Swinger Society. And we'll always and forever be. When we go on Bliss Cruise, when we go to Hedo, when we're doing Swinger-focused or Centric events, that's going to be a Swinger Society event. because it's a swinger event, right? Electric pleasures is really going to be, that's the music centric, music centric, lifestyle friendly, right? So hotel takeovers, shit, I don't know. We might end up doing a music festival in a field somewhere or taking over a campground. You know, if it's focused on music, but lifestyle friendly, electric pleasures, if it's a swinger focused thing, swinger society. And those two event groups are going to go forward and flourish. Everybody's already, secrets isn't, Not until April. And people are freaking out about it. And it's the most active chat in our Discord server by far. So that's not going anywhere. No. That is, I guess, my point of that. It's not. Okay. I think we touched on everything Hotel Takeover. We're looking for, hopefully we see you all at the Open Instincts New Year's Eve party. Yes. In Atlanta. And then I hope we see you all in January at our first Electric Pleasures Takeover. Again, there are overflow hotel rooms available. Not sure how long they're going to last, but they are available. Go get signed up for those. And then in March, we're going to see you in Electric Pleasures in Atlanta. Yes. So the website for Electric Pleasures is electric-pleasures.com. If you can't figure that out, you can find links through swingersociety.net to get to Electric Pleasures. There's also links in our bio. If you go to our TikToks or Beacons or Instagram and go into our Beacons link, you'll find a link to Electric Pleasures there. But we look forward to seeing you guys. Yep. All right. Anything else for the Swing Nation listeners? Merry Christmas. Yeah. Merry Christmas, guys. Everybody have a happy holidays and hopefully you had a good Christmas with your family and you enjoyed that. We are thankful for y'all. Excited to go into the new year, 2026 with everybody. Our 2026 is crazy. We've had like a month and a half off, which has been lovely. I've been, you know, working on my sourdough, cleaning out closets, all the things. But unfortunately, now it's time to get my ass back to work. Starting January, we are traveling two weeks in the month of January, like two weeks in the month of February. And here's the difference. 2026, there is no month off. No. There's no month. There's zero on the calendar. It goes from January to December to New Year's. Yeah. And there's like something every couple weeks. We have three cruises, a Hedo trip. God, I have no idea how many electric pleasures, three or four. Five. Oh, shit. You know, two secrets with Swinger Society. We have one club takeover with Swingers Society coming. It's Naughty in New Orleans, Splash. It's going to be one hell of a year. Yeah. I am overwhelmed looking at the calendar as I always am, regardless if it's five events or 25 events. I'm always overwhelmed at looking at the calendar. Every year this time, I kind of like reflect. I'm like, how the fuck are we going to do this? Somehow we do it. So I'm just ready to buckle in and have an exciting year. So. And we hope to see you guys. at as many of those things as possible. Yeah. So if anything that we just said, swingersidey.net is like our home base. If you want to see anything that we're going to, naughty New Orleans, you know, we got about six months before that. Hedo, we got about seven months before that. Yeah, swingersidey.net will be, you'll have all the swingersidey events, all the electric pleasures events, all the bliss cruises, all the Hedo, everything will be on swingersidey.net. And right now is a good time to like look at the year, you know, look at, we try to get everything out six months in advance. So look at the year. See what you can and can't come to. Block off your calendar. Most of those things are all on payment plans. So you can usually figure out how to make it work. But we're excited to see everybody. It's going to be a great year. Yeah. That's another electric pleasures. We're trying to keep that as affordable as possible. Yeah. And so far, all of our weekend passes are you can get, you know, this BYOB Friday, Saturday night. There's a package for under $500. Yeah. which that's pretty... Good luck finding something cheaper than that in the lifestyle, especially for this quality of an event. So we're really trying to keep that, be mindful of that, and keep those prices down as much as possible. Yes. All right. Anything else? That's it. All right, guys. I think with that, in a world full of apples... Be the pineapple. Be the pineapple, guys. Bye.
