Agree with all these posts. And you force people to use IM, but we have to click "send" after every message, instead of just clicking "enter." How is it possible for a technologically challenged site like this to somehow get even more challenged after a major overhaul? Do you own another site, and you're trying to destroy this user base so that you don't have to honor the lifetime memberships? That is honestly the only logical explanation I have.

I generally agree with the dissatisfaction expressed here.
However, this message is about the glitches in the IM.
1) All profiles without pictures show the couples avatar.
2) The red button with the numbers doesn't seem to update when you read a message.

I am just trying to figure out how to contact PAID members now. Many of us hate IM.
The folks that I p[posted in such a baroque fashion are among those who do not even check IM's at all.
I am fairly certain that attempting to force people into a communication format that they do not like is a sound long term plan.

I would suggest adding 'Communication Preferences' that could be set, because we would really like to be able to DISable IM and Video chat.
If we had a CHOICE to receive IM, Video Chat, or Emails, then the site would work for everyone.

Agreed, missing the old mail service. People don't want to IM all the time. Sending a quality e-mail was the proper way of making a good impression when introducing yourself to new people. Sadly that option has disappeared :(

Terribly bad idea.
Part of our screening process is what people write in an email, how they write it, sincerity and thoughtfulness.
That all goes out the window with the IM plus the scaling is broken and the bottom gets cut off on a 4K monitor when the scaling is set to 200 percent. Not to mention you have to click the send icon, not just enter.
