Hot date issues continued II

If you click on a day you should be able to see all Dates/Events for that day if you scroll down. At least I can using Chrome on a laptop.

You do have to click on each event to get any sort of details as hover no longer shows you anything, but you can see all the dates/events for a given day from the Hot Date calendar.

Extremely DISLIKE that events are no longer on Hot Date, and we have to look at every tab, and multiple dates to find what all events are happening on one given day. If there is a way see one date and all events, and we seem to be missing it please let us know! Time is limited in life to waste on unneeded searching!

Well the Hotdate function became ice cold date for me. I posted dates few days ago with the red heart showing on only one. Deleted them and re-added them last nite and, wala, the red heart disappeared on both dates! Well at least it became reliabley sucky. Submitted a ticket (again) will see what excuse I get.

Once upon a time, SLS had a good customer service!

Copied:

And we add: this function now SUCKS. The mail, or messenger, sucks. Honestly, who the fuck designs this site? I have NEVER encountered a website in my life with so many things that suck.

2) If I do a location change and click on a particular date, click the back button to see the calendar again, it defaults to the current week in my home location. Then I have to re-enter everything.

3) No rollover function that shows the first few Hot Dates when you hold the cursor over the date.

Thanks SLS!!! Because of your site unreliability and that Hot Dates wouldn't open I missed out on a night of birthday fun. It goes without saying that my membership is money well spent (LOL).

Would really like to see the ability to reduce the search distance.

We cannot even get the Hot Date Calendar to open up and show hot dates....This needs to seriously be fixed !!!! Yes the old system worked so so much better.

Personally, I think the old calendar was much better.

The things I don't like is:

1) It always defaults to the current week, I like the monthly calendar better.

2) If I do a location change and click on a particular date, click the back button to see the calendar again, it defaults to the current week in my home location. Then I have to re-enter everything.

3) No rollover function that shows the first few Hot Dates when you hold the cursor over the date.

4) The old calendar was much easier on the eyes.

Just posted a Hot Date for tonight, it was live in a couple minutes.

Just wondering.........

The main forum board has user configurable preferences. Why can’t we have that in the Hot Date section? I’d love to set my own mileage default and a calendar view default.

MandC,

I agree that the hotdates page should work better. By the way, the EdandBritney solution doesn’t work for me; no right click available on my iPad.

I have long since given up on hoping for features that are real world usable.

HOTLUVRS,

This site is set up as a vehicle to meet like minded couples and individuals. As with many other "features" here, it is not optimized to do that. No, having to re-enter search criteria is not one of life's major hassles. But we didn't have to do that before they changed the Hot Date format, and it's clear that new features are not developed or tested with any real world usage. Ed and Britney's suggestion is a good one and will work.

MandC,

Seriously, having to reenter our search criteria is a pretty minor inconvenience when compared to all the other glitches and weirdness on this site. I know that it’s a sad commentary to say that we are ok with that bit of poor design, but we’d much rather they fix other fundamental things, such as forum posts that will be formatted properly without me having to first hop on one foot while holding my tongue just so.

Yeah we hate the going back resets everything default BS too but we learned, when looking at an event or hot date, to right click and open wverything in a new tab to avoid that.

Most other sites we are on open a profile you’re viewing in a separate window. Simple fix.

Our two suggested improvements to the updated Hot Date/Events calendar...

  1. We have no issue with the default to 50 miles and one week, however, however having the ability to have the changed mileage and calendar view remembered would be great. You've made several "clicks" to see dates/events 10 days from now further away than 50 miles. We see a date or event that interests us and open it, (see below for 2nd issue) select back and your changed preferences default back to the original 50 miles and week view. Multiple "clicks" again to get back to where we were. A "remember preferences" option would be AWESOME.
  1. There are no flyovers (is this the correct term for the little pop up that shows age, weight, location, etc. on the profile without opening it?) on profiles with a hot date. In order to view the basics we now have to open the profile. Would not be a big deal if the system remembered our preferences as stated in #1 above!

Here is what we are currently hating most about the Hot Dates event calendar

We search in a city we are traveling to on a certain date in the future. Next weekend as an example. We click on a few events, and at some point when we go back to the event listing, it defaults to today and our our current location. Which means we have to re-enter our search criteria, on those few occasions we don't just say "fuck it" in frustration and log out.

What is the point of showing "Sorry, you do not match their relationship or age request." under Hot Dates? If it's obviously not a match, why show anything at all for that Hot Date?

Just another data point- since we can no longer edit, I deleted and posted a new date for today at 7 am this morning, and it is till "pending". So much for quicker approvals!

The flyover on the Hot Dates was quite useful, and the event list where you could see the number of people attending without having to click on the event was an excellent indicator of the size and popularity of the event. Sometimes we feel like attending a massive hotel takeover, other times we are in the mood for a more intimate gathering. Now you have to click on event to see that, and it seem like every time we go back, all the criteria reset. And this morning, we wanted to see Hot Dates for this coming weekend to see who might be looking to play, the Hot Dates won't load.

Why have SLS made it so much harder to find and communicate with other people on this site? Get the basics back and working please. We want to find and play with compatible couples. I imagine it would be easier to find potential playmates wearing that ugly SLS necklace out in public that searching for them here now.

Yup, we hear you on that Mayhem & agree.

@TomandDiane - One of the great fly-over features that would be nice to get back is when hovering over Events on the Hot Date page. You could see just the events for that day without having to click on Events.

I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but we go to some parties that are held once or twice a month and it was quick to see what Saturday/s they were on without clicking Events for every Saturday in a given month. The old page simply provided more info in less clicks.

It winds up negatively impacting the SLS advertising party hosts because we sometimes miss a party and made plans, only to find out later that we're missing yet another SLS advertised party that we would have preferred to go to. Unlike some, we do NOT change our plans for what may be a better offer. If we commit to someone, we show up, unless of course we get sick or something.

The new system is certainly lacking. Would be nice if the fly over worked so as to view play interest level & age/age range.

The Hot Date section is absolutely useless now. This website used to be fun to use but between this and the chat room changes, SLS has taken the joy out of it so much its depressing to come here now !

Ham Lake, MN, Us

How stupid that you can’t modify a hot date, to have to delete and completely re do is stupid. I understand they have to re approve it. Why does this site make things so difficult.
