@LoveMeKnot144 I’m not looking for single men, but with the search function it’s been easy to look for single women. I assume it’s the same for single men. I also use fetlife because I think finding events is simpler. Also try Feeld and 3fun apps. Or even OKCupid and put your search settings on casual. That’s been one of the arrows in my quiver for ENM women as a single guy.

@LoveMeKnot.. You should find a good guy that you trust. He'd help to introduce you and chaperone you to parties so you didn't have to go alone. He can be a buffer to men you don't like and also a protective bubble for those who want to take things too far. But also, he has to be the type to let you have your freedom and meet and greet with other singles/couples that YOU feel comfortable with so you don't feel bad exploring and having fun yourself....

I recommend that you buck the current trend, and travel. Perhaps to a location with a reputation for free spirited living and hospitality. You might also reach out in advance to any SMs there who strike your fancy, if you like your fancy being struck. You never know, you might find a somewhat interesting…and marginally humorous SM or two. Stranger things have happened.

As a SM I prefer to meet n greet with new SLS couples/singles at small local house parties or events. I mostly use this SLS website Only for the "Hot-Dates" feature. I send/receive very few messages.
Perhaps try some Hot-Date events in your area... or expand to New areas.

Have definitely been using the website. Don’t even have the app downloaded because I’ve heard it’s difficult to navigate. But I find the search feature for the groups and in person meetings can be very limited.

Are you using the app or the web site? I checked out my friends app yesterday and it was really hard to find groups and events. If you are using the app, try the web version (its not great, but better)

There's a "Dad Bods" thread created by a SM who has explained that in recent years women respondents prefer guys with a beer belly over trim, in shape guys. Your post seems to also confirm that the good men are the heavier, beer belly guys that outweigh the trim, in shape guys.

Our single friend gets LOTS of dates on Tinder. We finally got her on to to SLS and she’s having pretty good luck here as well. SLS isn’t perfect but we think it’s better for the NSA connections that she presently wants.
I understand that single guys get a bad rap here. Maybe I’ve been very fortunate, but I’ve found (in my vast and extensive 5 weeks in) that the good have definitely outweighed the bad.
Anyway just curious if there are other ways to meet single, local guys that I’m missing.
I’ve tried looking in the Groups on the site, but the search function isn’t very user friendly. And I’m certainly not ready to go to clubs on my own. Anyway just looking for tips on places online, or ways to find local meet and greets, that I may be missing. Thank you!
