Goodenuff- people put all sorts of things into their profiles that have nothing to do with sex. Why would I assume surgically safe referred to sex?
I have read profiles that say they are not interested in you if you support a political candidate that they do not support.

Context is a swinger's site- people looking for sex.

Admittedly "safe sex" usually implies the use of condoms or other means to prevent STDs, it also means safe from pregnancy.

If anyone knows of a surgical procedure to prevent the transmission of any STD, please share it. I've never heard of any.

Well said Irish.. he constantly looks for attention with all his questions/ woe me attitude since on day one. When many including us tried to help him with his profile and photo selections.. now we just move on as we have blocked him last year.. gets old with his questions.

If it was in a paragraph about not being able to get pregnant, I probably would have figured it out. But it wasn't.
I have also never heard surgical safe applied to anything else, like a surgery to fix a heart defect and now you are surgically safe from heart attacks.
If a woman has a double mastectomy due to breast cancer, she would be surgically safe from breast cancer, but I never heard it.

Michael - asking questions is fine, but you seem to ask a lot stuff that would be common knowledge based upon the amount of years you say you have been here. Obviously you participate in the forums, so I would think you read a lot of threads and would surmise that the types of questions you ask sometimes should be known by someone who has been reading and participating in the forums for almost 3 years

It's not a stupid question if you are naive about terms related to dating and the lifestyle. If I google "surgically safe" I get pages discussing safe surgery and nothing about vasectomy or tubal ligation.

But I have to admit that I think most people figure it out by the context.

It's a dumbass way to say he has had a vasectomy and she has her tubes tied.

I assume somebody who blocked me because they felt I was fricken stupid posted an insult here that they knew I would never see. For some reason.
I have no idea why people block me then chase me around here making comments on my posts. Or, how they see my posts. Or why they would want to read my posts.
Anyway, I never heard this term used to mean they can't get pregnant or get you pregnant before. Anywhere. Not even in the vanilla world.
And I have no idea what common sense has to do with this.
As I have said before, I wish I had the experience in the lifestyle that the rest of you have. Then I wouldn't be here asking stupid questions. It has taken me my whole life to get to the point where I found a house party I can attend and a munch and both of those were found through fetlife. And I have had two threesomes with the same couple. I wish I could be like the rest of you and have 20 years of experience and have a wife who is into it and you have multiple lifestyle parties and events to attend in your area and you have to decide which one to go to. I saw this in a profile and I wondered what it meant.
"we are both surgically safe".
Safe to perform surgery on?
Safe from surgery?
Their bodies are so free of STD's they are as sterile as an operating room?
I ruled out they meant they practice VERY safe sex because they also say they prefer bareback.
