Ouch! Yours certainly isn't an enviable position! But personally, I would rather hear the cold hard truth than any candy coated lie.
I believe I'd have to sit down with them and tell them straight up.

I would think that a move to platonic friends would be harder than a clean break. On a primary level, you are rejecting them sexually after being in a FWB with them. So it just sounds potentially awkward going forward, No matter whether it is what you are saying or a clean break, do it politely and as nice as possible. Even then the message is hard to deliver. Be a good human but tell the truth. You have had a lot of fun with them, you think they are awesome peeps but you are no longer interested in having sex with them. Blame it on yourselves if it makes you feel better but you feel what you feel. Our thoughts are that each couple in the LS is responsible to their partner only. That is not to say you shouldn't be polite, respectful of others, kind etc but it does mean you should be able to move on from that that no longer works for you two. Good luck and you are good peeps just because you aren't callous about this and want to find the best way to proceed!

"Just tell them you're done"... yes i've heard that before lol, but its usually not that simple! What's the most polite way to end a FWB situation with a couple that you've been regularly hooking up with for a while? Especially one that you still would really enjoy hanging out with, you're just no longer interested in the sexual aspect?
