We are in NC where “real” weed is illegal but we have CBD ie delta 8 and delta 9. The laws speak to a specific plant as illegal. We agree with all the other posts on taking it slowly on dosage and wait. We have learned to take the gummies on an empty stomach to speed up the time to the high. On an empty stomach we atart feeling it at 1/2 hr and pretty much max at 1 1/2-2 hrs. 25mgs of delta 8 is a common gummy dose. We recommend a quarter or half of one if it has been a while. As others mentioned each strain of week and the deltas affect people different. So there is a learning curve. We drink with them so we typically eat a half. If we want a little mire we smoke real or delta 8 flower to get a a light high bump quicker than eating more. We do eat them out but only 1/4 of a gummy. So like alcohol, it is how much and the hard part is……am I at the max high for the dose or??! Thata why taking your time and dosing slowly, not taking more will educate on your own likes and limits

@mickey, Delta 8 gummies (found in most vape shops) almost works as well as the real thing, give them a try. Start at 20mg and don't drink or take anything else the first time. Then adjust dosage from there.

Yep, if you use gummies, by Federal law, you can't legally own/purchase/possess (allow another to possess in your vehicle?) firearms or ammunition. Admittedly I'm not an attorney, but I believe that applies to both hemp derived and marijuana derived THC products.
