hello everyone i'm mr jones and i'm mrs jones and we want to welcome you to episode 92 of the we got a thing podcast snapshots from desire pearl keep it simple yes this was an easy one yeah we had all of our good friends at desire record a podcast for us that did all the hard work. I know. We just had to stand there and do our wait time. Yeah. It was a good week. It was a good week. We're going to talk a lot about that. Yeah. But first, you know what? Before we even went to Desire 2021, we sold out Desire 2022. I know. Well, I think it's still the after effects of COVID.

Because the 2020 people automatically pushed forward to 2021. And then 2021 people couldn't get in because the resort was already full from people pushing forward a year. So now people just went ahead and pulled the trigger and booked 2022. Yeah, we have quite a waiting list going for 2022. But there's some signs. There's a new hotel manager at Desire Pearl.

And she expressed an interest in trying to get us back sometime this next summer yeah so we're thinking about that and if they um if the conditions are right we might try to sneak in another trip yeah that would be fun to help alleviate some of the wait list yeah well and to help out all of our teachers and our and with little kids that have, you know, trouble getting child care arranged during the school year. So, yeah, summertime trip would be convenient for people like that. So we have some other big news. Yeah, we actually have a new card game. We do. And Mr. Jones has like renamed it.

No, you did. Well, okay, I did, but you actually like it. I did. It's a good marketing term. It's the smart card game. It's the smart card game. Because we collaborated with friends of ours, and they actually are both very smart people.

Yes, they are and they um came up with some really fun innovative ways to to spin um a card game for sexy time yeah so this is deck this deck is conversational and it's icebreaker yes it's to get yourself from zero to play time yes in the future there may be an action deck coming out but this is all um icebreaker questions yeah well the action deck we have a prototype for it yes it's being like tweaked a little bit and refined right but that won't be coming out anytime soon but it is definitely in the works so what makes our card game different you ask well i glad you asked.

First of all, it comes in a really nice plastic container. Yes. We always had a trouble with the other ones, putting a hairband around it. I know, the cardboard box would disintegrate. Yeah. The cards themselves are water resistant, just in case you accidentally play them in a hot tub. Yeah.

Imagine that's a complete deck of cards so if you wanted to you could play poker yeah it's 52 playing cards yeah so yeah and they progress the the questions progress from two up until the ace and they get progressively higher there's two or three or four different ways you can play this game you'll find the instructions on the joker card when you get it but you can play poker and the winning hand gets to choose a card you can play as a group you know you can pick we we use these on our saturday night chat the other night yeah and somebody just said somebody called out the king of spades yeah So I read that card and it had to do with being airtight.

Yeah. So anyway. So then he had to answer that question. Yeah. You can go to our website and find a link to find out more details about the card game. But it's really cool. We're really happy with it. We're happy the way that it turned out. And we're excited to get some feedback from you all who decide to give it a try. Yeah. Pretty cool. So speaking of the card game. Yes. It would be a perfect thing to put in Naughty Stockings. It would be. Yes.

And you'll find plenty of things on your naughty list that have a coupon code a promo code also for casual toys yep so what else is new um gosh uh so our community we're really focusing on community now the community at large um the pod the um lifestyle community seems to be growing our community seems to be growing we have just added we have got over 20 subgroups now in our members community yeah and we have 11 regional groups and those regional groups are growing well well over several hundred and they're starting to do their own meet and greets, host their own meet and greets.

So that's really cool. I know. And, you know, it's, it's nice to, um, get our community organized so that it, it actually takes the pressure off of you and I, right? Like we're only two people. We both have full-time jobs. Um, we have our own social our family, et cetera. So we can't attend everything. Right. But now the way the groups are starting to self-organize. That's right. You know, they're taking charge. And, you know, and like-minded people are coming together somewhat regionally. Although people still are flying into town for those things. Like, it's crazy.

You know, the people that don't live near one of where these subgroups are popping up, but they're actually kind of all over the place. How many of them are there? There's 11 regional groups across the country. And just to give you an idea, some of the subgroups we have, we have, of course we have the ladies in the men's chat. We have the BDSM chat. We have the perv channel.

We have nerd chat health and fitness chat um we could go on i know there's there's uh newbies for all the scared people that's kind of like the safety zone yeah there's mature matters for people like us yeah there's a wine lovers group and i think one of the most interesting groups is the parents with special needs children yeah i mean they have a whole nother dynamic they have to navigate right because child care can be more challenging for them right and just you know getting away um and and just the need for that that brief respite every now and again, um, we can relate to that for sure.

Uh, the, I mean the other things like they're just very, um, topical things when, when topics keep coming up in like the men's chat or the ladies chat, um, we're starting to create a separate group or, or a chat for those. Like for example, hormone replacement therapy comes up a lot. Um, so we've created a separate conversation for that so that things don't get lost, right? We're trying to keep things a little more organized. And I think it makes people feel connected more quickly when we're providing those opportunities.

And honestly, the community was growing so fast that we couldn't, one chat didn't contain it. It got really confusing. And, you know, so the more diverse our communities become, the more of these subgroups that have popped up and the more rich the conversation. And it's not just about the Joneses, it's about other like-minded people and meeting. Like we had friends recently that from a mistake that was made, they were outed to their family, you know, and she got a lot of, she was telling us how much support she got from, you know, the community members when she went and told her story.

And you remember when you and I were outed, gosh, back in episode 37. So that was a long time ago. We were talking about how much support we had from our listeners and we, and we were saying at that time, gosh, yeah, but wouldn't it be great if our listeners had some sort of support like we do? Right. And so when she was telling the story about how the community was so supportive as she told her story and the ladies and the ladies group, they supported her and they knew what to tell her and share stories.

And it made me think back about, you know, this is really what we've been striving for for the whole time. Definitely. And, you know, and again, we're just two people. So like a lot of times people will private message you and I and ask us questions and our opinions on things. And I mean, like we only have our own limited scope of experience and knowledge to share back, but they can throw a question out in these, in these sub chats and, and get a lot of different perspectives.

And we have so many professional people in our community that actually can speak to things, um, you know, the right way. Yeah. With the credibility. Yeah. Yeah. It's wonderful. So we're really going to start where we have a new website under design, and we're going to release that in early 2022, and it's going to be focused on not just the podcast, but community as well. And then we're repurposing our newsletter to be more community focused.

So all of 2022, we're really starting to focus more on the lifestyle community itself and how we can, we and our listeners can help support that community and help it grow. Right. So, hey, we got to move out of our cardboard boxes today. I know. My closet is finished. And I'm actually sharing it with Mr. Jones. so we we moved in a year ago, and we've had cardboard boxes in our house on different levels for the past year. But the past four months have been a nightmare. Yes. Oh, okay. Not really a nightmare.

But it's been just discombobulated because we had to move out of our bedroom and our bathroom and. Right. So there's like the hallways lined in cardboard boxes. The guest room that we've been living in is lined in cardboard boxes. Just it's been chaos. Yeah. So it's almost finished. It should be completely finished this week, I'm hoping. Yeah. Our shower's teasing us. Our shower's done. But it just needs the glass panels put up. But we could take a shower without those. But there's no electricity in the bathroom yet. Well, there's electricity. There's no light fixtures.

Okay, well, the electricity is not very helpful without light fixtures. True. So, but the electrician's coming tomorrow. So, by the time this podcast is released, I might have taken a shower in my new amazing shower.

We both may have taken a shower in there together because it's large we can have a party in our shower i know i'm looking forward to that it's a nice shower we'll get our playroom back soon yes yeah oh man yeah so we're we're going to before we um get into the next segment we wanted to let you all know that we are going to we're going to take the month of december off like we did last year we're not going to have a new podcast until early january right because i mean it's the very very end of november now and with the holidays at the end of the month right that's just not going to happen yeah so we've we've got um someone has a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks gee who would that be mr?

That would be me. So we're going to go away for my birthday weekend and spend some time together and with some special friends. That's right. And then after Christmas. And then after Christmas. We're going someplace warm for a few days. Yeah. We're going to spend some time in Palm Springs. Yeah. So between those two trips, I think we'll have something to talk about at the beginning of January. Yeah. So with those three trips and the holidays, and not many people listen to podcasts in December anyway. No, we're busy. According to my numbers. So you'll have to excuse us.

We'll be back in early January. We're excited about 2022, the things that we mentioned before, but also we've got about six or eight podcast topics in the hopper. Um, we're, we're in, there's no shortage of, of new ideas and podcast topics. So we aren't going anywhere. We'll be back strong in January. And those podcast topics are thanks to you all. I mean, you are the ones that, that feed us the ideas. Yes. We'll never run out of podcast topics. As long as we don't run out of listeners, we won't run out of topics. Yeah. True. Okay. What else? Did we miss anything? I don't think so.

I just think that speaking of counting on our listeners to provide information, that's exactly what this episode is about. It is. happy people share their snapshots welcome back to segment two where it's just one big string of snapshots from desire pearl so pearl okay every every year we come home yeah yeah every we think that um how can this event get any better and how can the people be any cooler and it just keeps happening over and over again i know we had about um 70 couples show up and it was the best of both worlds for you and i because there's people there there that have been every year. Yeah. This was our fifth annual. So there's people there that have been there every year that we've known for a long time.

And then there were tons of new people. Yeah. Some of them we had met in person at other events throughout the year, but some of them were brand-banking new. Oh, there was a lot of yellow bracelets there yes and a yellow bracelet if it's your first time to desire they give you a yellow fresh meat bracelet yeah i say it makes you uh stand out as fresh meat yeah so we attract a lot of yellow bracelets which is good yeah they have the courage to go yeah so the people were amazing and we don't really change a lot. It's not a takeover. We don't change what desire does.

We just add things to it because they do such a good job at everything. So we add things at the beginning of the week just as mixers and to help people get to know each other. Right. You know, we do the speed dating in the pool with couples. We do the progressive lunch early in the week and we do the meet and greet and we get there. So most of those events that we have early part of the week are just to mix and mingle and force people to, you know, kind of get out of their comfort zone a little bit and meet new friends. Right.

And then kind of midweek, I like to do, I think this year I called it, what did I call it? Something like morning. Mimosas. No, cocktails and conversation. Yeah. Well, that's what I used to call it.

this year i called it what did i call it something like morning mimosas no cocktails and conversation yeah well that's what i used to call it this year i called it like a mimosa meet up or something like that mimosa meet and greet um so yeah we gathered um where did we do it we did it in um oh we did it in the disco and they had mimosas in there for us and, and, uh, and then we all did a sexy swap meet. So everybody brings like lingerie or club dresses or just any like fun little thing that you have that you don't either like anymore or didn't fit right.

And you were too lazy to return and we're the only ones in the disco. So we just kind of stripped down, try stuff on, and it's fun. There was hardly anything left over. It was amazing. And it filled up both long, high-top tables on either side of the bar in the disco. Everything was full. So, yeah.

And I've given up on you in trying to convince you that it should be um daisy chain and pillow fights however several of the ladies before they went in came to me and said mr jones we're going to have the pillow fight as a matter of fact one lady took her pillow with her yes she did and she had on a sexy killer outfit yeah so so at least even though you don't humor me the other ladies were playing along yeah so you know who you are my sexy friend thank you yeah Thank you. Yeah.

Yeah, and while the ladies were doing that, we did a bourbon and cigars on a penthouse terrace with the guys, and that was a lot of fun, drinking bourbon. Killing time. Yeah. All the sexy ladies came back. And then you did a, it was funny because you had a sex toys conversation for ladies set up later in the week. Right. Right. We did a kind of, after we did the swap meet and the allegedly pillow honey feathers fight. Daisy chain. Daisy chain. Yes. We had an amazing conversation. I think there were probably maybe 30 ladies there. Yeah. And we just had a great conversation. Yeah.

Just kind of sat around in a circle and just shared some really deep stuff. And a day before that, a couple of the guys came up to me and they said, hey, we noticed the ladies have a sex toy chat. How come the guys don't have one?

And well let's have one yeah so we i said well there probably won't be that many guys so y'all can just come up to our room well it ended up being about 30 people you had as many guys as i had girls and we had a couple of guys maybe three guys who were really aficionados when it came to male sex toys and we had a great conversation and you know what it is guys we've just never thought that way before and and honestly some of the things that are sold you can't tell what how you use them or how to get them possibly get them on like some of the cock rings and you you can't find videos on how to do it so a lot of the questions questions were, how in the, how do you get that thing on?

And more importantly, how do you get it off? And one of the, one of the gentlemen there had experience in the emergency room and he was telling stories about things that they had to extract that weren't used properly. And maybe some things that really weren't toys, they were more like kitchen appliances. They should have never been in there to begin with. So you're saying like kitchen appliances as in not kitchen utensils, like bigger than a utensil. Well, it was a frying pan. It was the handle to a frying pan.

And somebody said if they would have left the frying pan attached to it, it wouldn't have been a problem. Been like the flange on a butt plug. Yeah. Thank you.

and somebody said if they would have left the frying pan attached to it it wouldn't have been a problem been like the flange on a butt plug yeah oh ow yeah that's really not funny yeah well so on my way so y'all met in our room yeah and we met in the um in the mansion lobby The ladies did so i after breakfast i ran back to the room and i grabbed my backpack that had all of our sex toys in it and i was like see you later and i ran out the door and i was going down the sidewalk over to the mansion and i realized i had your favorite sex toy right and i didn't know if you wanted to share it or not so i was like oh shoot i'm, I'm going to have to turn around, and I wasn't late, but I wasn't early either, so I didn't really want to turn around since I was the host, so I see one of our friends walking towards us, the husband walking towards us, and I was like, hey, can you do me a favor, and I unzip my backpack, and I fish around, and I get your toy out.

Now, it was in a bag. It could have been worse. It was at least in a little velvet bag. And I said, can you give this to Mr. Jones? I took it by mistake and it's his favorite sex toy. This is also one of our shyest friends, I think. And he took that from me like, holy hell, what am I supposed to do with this? Yeah. He came up to me and he said, this is one of the most awkward things I've ever had to do in my life, but I think this belongs to you. Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry I did that to you, but you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. But thank you so much for helping me out. Yeah.

Man, it was a fantastic know the weather wasn't the greatest that it rained at some point it rained just about every day we only had you're being generous the weather was horrid no it wasn't horrible yes it was no it wasn't we we only have to we only had to leave the pool like once or twice but when but it wasn't raining for 15 minutes.

When it rain it would rain for a couple hours right like in monsoon yeah well the most rain came at night the one day that poured all night long so fortunately it didn't ruin anything at night we just had to use umbrellas yeah but normally in november it's nice and clear they were commenting on how strange it was that the weather but we we've had like 16 weeks in a row with sunshine i know yeah this was the first year we had crappy weather but the staff was great as usual um the management was ready for us i think you can tell that they're back to 100 capacity now and um you know even though they're still wearing masks and you know you had to be, you still had to be tested before you went and vaccinated, showed your vaccination and tested before you came home.

There was a sense of things being back to normal. Yeah. Which was nice. Yeah. I mean, I know I felt more relaxed this year. You know, I mean, luckily we were able to get our booster shot right before we went. So that made me a little more confident as well. Right. Yeah. So do you want to talk about that one night at Desire Pearl? I can talk about what I remember of it.

Normally when you and I go to the lobby bar before dinner or after dinner, I'll say, well, I'll get, I'll have a 30 martini martini and you'll say well i want a lemon drop martini or whatever and you just marched right up to the bar and said i want a shot of tequila yes i did okay i was just in the mood yeah i i was perfectly sober um i think it had rained that day and i was probably grumpy because of the weather and I just wanted to have a little bit of fun because I like being the hostess of an event, you know, I'm always aware that I, I want to keep an eye on people and just make sure nobody looks like they're lost or, or, you know, they have a question about something so I usually try to keep my my shit together a little bit better but for that night I guess I didn't feel the need to be responsible right I asked for a shot of tequila and I stayed with you for the first three shots yes you did and then I I backed away one of us had to get back to the room to know the directions back to the room.

Well, one of my girlfriends took over and she started ordering shots. Yeah. Well, I thought she was taking care of you. Oh, no, not that friend. Oh, that wasn't, yeah. No. This is my trouble friend.

Yeah, well, then they came out and they did those popper shots right that's spilled pink crap all over my white jeans they were fun though yeah so yeah so i had two of those i don't think there's a lot of they weren't they weren't no they weren't straight tequila so out of the ten and a half shots i had throughout the night two of them were those or maybe three of them were those proper shots yeah and you were making the apology to her the next morning and people were telling you that there wasn't a lot to apologize for but they kept telling you things that you did not recall well I I do remember my friend who ordered me all the proper shots.

I pretty much like just accosted her husband. Yeah, you did. I don't think it bothered him. I do remember asking for consent, but I didn't really ask for a time limit. I pretty much spent the whole night making out with him. At least that's the part I remember. Yeah. I think I did other things too. Yeah. I heard there was a piggyback ride around the hot tub. Yeah. I mean, and I, and luckily that was with a good friend of ours that I trust implicitly. So I know that I couldn't have done too terrible things there, but I probably was accosting him too. But oh well.

And then you got out to go to the ladies room and i was concerned that that you might have been a bit unstable oh so here's the other friend yeah so i said well i better follow her to the restroom and one of your other friends said oh i got it i'll go with her you stay here and i said okay i'm thinking it sure is nice to have friends like that you can trust little did i realize that she went and got you more shots now i don't know if you asked for them or if she just went got them i know i asked for one okay i don't remember going to the bathroom that's actually a little concerning like i don't remember that part at all yeah um she said i didn't do anything she said i didn't throw up or anything so i was like well okay i guess i was still somewhat functional yeah but i do remember ordering another shot with her and the bartender gave me an orange slice instead of a lime slice i don't know if i had already eaten all the limes by then because i had done so many shots but he gave me an orange slice and it was so good and i think that was a problem i think that's when i had the two more just because i wanted the orange it was really tasty so then then we went to eat tacos at 3 30 yeah and we got back to the room at 4 45 yeah i do remember I do remember that.

Yeah. I remember getting in bed and looking at my phone and thinking, whoa, no wonder I'm tired. Well, and we were supposed to have breakfast with a couple at 9.30. So at 9 o'clock I got up because that's when they bring our coffee every day. And you were dead to the world. And then it was 9.15 and you hadn't budged. And I'm sitting here, should I reach over and touch her? Should I just let her sleep? And so at 9.25, I said, are you going to breakfast? And you just said, no. And I said, okay, well, I'm going to breakfast.

And I left you there but and then I laid there like I didn't go back to sleep I laid there and I thought okay I should probably get up and take some Advil because this is probably not going to be good once I start moving but then I laid there till 10 and then I got up and I felt perfectly fine yeah Yeah, you were drinking the good tequila. Yes, I was. I was drinking Don Julio all night. Yeah. And I felt amazingly fine. I don't know why that I should have. Well, first of all, I should have passed out. Right. Doing that many shots. I don't know how my body even processed all that. Right.

That was not like me. Not one of your finer moments, but not one of your more unforgettable moments. Yeah. All right. Well, enough about us. Let's let our good friends step in here and talk about all of their snapshots from Desire. And then when they're finished, we'll come back and share two of our own. So ours is a snapshot of growth and comfort courtesy of Desire and you guys and podcasters in general. Our first time here was January of last year, so not very long ago. And I hid in our room for three hours, and I wouldn't come out because I was terrified of what was going to happen.

And the four days we were here, things really did change. And the couple of days here, things have massively changed, as everybody knows. So I've managed to go from hiding in my room for three hours to people asking me if I'm a professional dominatrix what's the answer We were here a number of years ago, and there was a couple in the jacuzzi cup that seemed very kind of normal. And all of a sudden, we noticed that the guy had disappeared, this poor girl was on her own. Well, you know how Desires works. The girls kind of figure out what's going on.

So it came out that her boyfriend who she came with was no longer her boyfriend. They had booked this gig a while before and they'd split before coming. So there they were. And then I think he got the call from the new girlfriend. Where the hell are you? So he disappeared. This was very unusual here in Desires. As everybody knows, it's a couple's kind of place. Anyway, so the girls took charge. They figured it all out. It was Jane. Yes, we did. It was Jane. It was Jane, who was a divorced mother from New Jersey. Of three. Had three children. Come here for a great holiday.

And it wasn't turning out to be so great. It wasn't turning out to be so great until the girls got together and decided, hey, we're not going to make this girl have a lousy four days while she's here. So we all gathered together and we kind of asked our respective husbands who was going to be on duty tonight to look after Jane. And yeah, it was great. More than one gentleman was allocated per night, I might add. Yes, she was smiling pretty quickly and i have to to say, she was very good. I'd never given single mothers of three that much attention prior to this.

But yes, she was lovely, and the men were kind of like, you know, you had your time slot, and that's what you were told to go do. And anyway, I'll just wrap up the story by saying I met her in the lobby. She was sitting there waiting for a taxi to go home with this kind of glazed look. And so I asked her, you know, did you have a good time? She said, I've never had so much sex. Sex, yeah. So this is our funny, not so funny story. It's not funny at all. She thinks it's funny. I don't think it's funny. It's not really funny. So we were at the Scarlet Ranch where they were a month ago.

And we're sitting at the bar. And I'm standing at the corner of the bar. And I kind of glance. You know when you glance and you think you saw somebody? So I glance. And I about had a freaking heart attack. And I looked at her. I'm like, we got to go. And she's like, what do you mean? I'm like, oh, we got to go. We got to go like right now.

He literally yanked me like through this huge crowd and he's like we gotta go and his eyes he had this weird look in his eyes like something was seriously wrong so i look and i said i think i saw somebody we know and if anyone anyone's been to the ranch so we run outside and there's i don't know six eight foot fences and i'm literally looking at the fence thinking can i climb the fence like can i climb the fence and get out of here and i'm not even i don't even know if i cared if i took you with me i just wanted to leave so a little bit of a background story and i have only been doing this for about a year and a half and we our first day at the scarlet ranch in denver we're from denver colorado we loved it so much we went in bought a gold membership and we said these are our people we are having such a great time so we've come to know quite a few people and we were hanging out with our closest friends there there's probably 20 25 people so when this whole thing happened everybody's just looking at us like what just happened so go ahead and tell them the rest so then she's like who do you who did you see and i'm like i think our daughter just walked in oh my gosh our daughter now granted she is our oldest daughter thank god because if it was the baby or the son i would have it would have been really bad there's not a good way to start or end this story so there's I so disagree with everything there's there's just yeah whatever well that's why we say it's our funny but not so funny it's not funny at all so so you always like you look at somebody and then you do the second glance right like you look and I'm like oh I think I know them and I'm like there was no second glance I just hauled ass and I ran outside he was so scared Ha, right?

Like, you look, and I'm like, oh, I think I know them. And I'm like, there was no second glance. I just hauled ass, and I ran outside. He was so scared. So then we're sitting there, and one of our friends was there that happens to know most of her family. And she looked around and looked around and looked around, and she's like, she's not here. I'm like, oh, my God. Thank God. You've got to let me tell them. Go ahead.

So Nope goes, well, I'm just going to go outside just to make make sure so he goes down and he's looking around over by the by the beds and things like that I'm sure he was freaking himself out but in the meantime while he's doing that I get a little tap on my shoulder and I turned around and it is my daughter and And she goes, oh, my gosh, what are you doing here, Mom? Oh.

turned around and it is my daughter and she goes oh my gosh what are you doing here mom uh my heart about sunk and i i looked at her now what i should have said is what are you doing here but i i was so scared i didn't know what to say and so she says you know what's funny she's like all of us kids always thought you guys were a little crazy so So here's my only funny part of the story. I, fiance, and I called him, and he ignored me, which I'd expect. And I could see him. It'd be like me calling you, and you're like, ignore him. And he flushes him. And he texts me. He says, it's too loud here.

I can't hear him at a club. I'm like, I know where you're at, I really need to talk to you. And he texts me again, he's like, it's super loud, I can't hear. And I said, dude, I know exactly where you're at, will you please pick up the phone? And all the while, I was probably 30, 40 yards from the guy. So finally, and there's cabanas outside, so finally I said, okay, you're standing outside of cabana number nine. I can see you. Will you please pick up the phone? And I see him do this. He's like. And all the while, I'm having a freaking heart attack.

And he comes over and he thought it was funny. I'm like, dude, it's so not funny. And we met their friends that were there, and they're hugging us. They're, like, introducing us to all these new friends. Oh, they're like, you're the coolest parents we've ever met. And I'm like, I feel like we're the worst parents on the planet right now. I think that's it. Then our daughter says, okay, well, how are we going to work this whole thing out? Because we really like it here. We're going to start coming here and we're like, this is a really bad situation.

We're like, she's like, you pick days and I pick days and then that way I can have a babysitter for our granddaughter. And I'm like, what the hell? This is my people my place so that's feel free to give us like this super deep you can't tell who we are voice on your podcast because you never know our daughter may be listening that's our story there's a microphone in the room so this is where I belong right here yeah no so we this is actually for this week. My snapshot is a cautionary tale for everyone in a plunge pool.

So we are lucky enough to have good friends who have a beautiful penthouse suite with a plunge pool. And we were invited to visit with them the other night. And there were many of us in the pool. It was very, it was very full. It was very full. Yes. The water was sloshing everywhere. And my husband and I were having a moment and he said, get up on the side. He's gonna go down on me in the pool with all of our friends around. Hottest moment ever of my life, right? So I get up on the side. He's here. I decide I'm going to lay back. And enjoy myself.

And this one went ass over tea kettle right out of the pool. She thought there was a wall. I thought there was a she thought there was a wall there was no wall and if anyone has seen my knees over the last two days the good news is i did not land on my head so i am not in a mexican hospital right now but i i do have some serious abrasions happening on my on my knees but um it was almost the sexiest moment of my entire life Thank you... happening on my knees, but it was almost the sexiest moment of my entire life.

But at the end of the day, or at the end of the night, immediately afterwards I would say actually, I was getting support from somebody who's sitting over there with my husband supporting me elsewhere yeah and having an orgasm in front of that many people in such close proximity and then hearing the applause was pretty awesome. This was Desire's Snapshot pre--mansion playroom and ability. We had a master suite on, I think, the second or third floor, and I don't know how many of you have stayed in them. It's got this big living room, and we're like, gosh, what a wasted space.

That's just, there's got to be something we can do with that.

So one day we're sitting by the pool, and she stops the butler and says, I want a king mattress in our living room and it took like three of them to come over to try to understand what we were asking for and uh they hauled it up there and uh because we thought it would be great it worked out great for sex and you didn't have to worry about your bed getting messed up or anything and they decorated it with pedals and had it all set up and it was a great in the room playroom well that was back in the day when another podcast used to do their uh roomed or their things in here you know know, with the every week and the massages.

And we came to one later in the week and we had really disturbed them because here the king mattress that was in our room was the one that they used to play with. And they were like freaking out, like, we've been doing this for 10 years. How do we not have, where is this mattress and everything? And I'm like, her and I are like, oh my gosh, that's up in our room. So I did. I did tell them, I said, that was her idea. so they forgave us and thought it was kind of funny after the fact, but it really threw off their class that day.

But needless to say, I think it's a great idea if you ever want to do that. Your own little built-in playroom. Okay, this is our first time here at Desire. This is our wedding anniversary trip that we were supposed to have in June because of COVID crap. We decided to push it off until November. Forty years? Forty years. So everybody, you know, not so much here, but if you're listening on to the podcast here, this is a great group of people. We feel very comfortable here. Everybody says hello.

This is one of the greatest experiences we've had, especially thinking back 40 years ago when we got married, we'd be at a swinger resort. You know, I never thought that would happen, but for our 40th anniversary, this is the best experience we could ever have, and I just want to thank everybody for making us feel so welcome.

I think one thing that that I always enjoy seeing every time I come here and it's never gotten old is just the the diversity of the crowd here you know I, I think general society, when they think about swingers, we just all have this perception of what swingers do and how swingers behave and what swingers look like. And you get here, and it's just the most amazing group of people. And I think my first snapshot of the week is when we ran into Captain Bob and Sue. And if you all got here early, I think they left maybe on Sunday or Saturday.

Captain Bob and Sue just both celebrated their 80th birthdays. And she was like killing the dance floor the first night we were here in this cute little corset. And she is just amazingly fit and vivacious and and both of them are just so full of energy and so full of life and they they call us their mentors you know and it's so funny but they started swinging when they were 75 years old so there is hope for future, my friends who are my age. So the story that I would like to share is such a funny story.

We used to go to the go to the meet and greet place that was pretty local to our home and then we would always have hot tub parties and this one in particular um was pretty rowdy it was it was we got a little rowdy and somehow we ended up on our kids' trampoline. There was only six couples, so. Yeah, only six couples. And there, there were actually two trampolines in our backyard. Excuse me, back up just a minute. You can't just say somehow we ended up on the trampoline. I really don't know how it happened because like there are kids trampolines.

Like, you know, I kind of considered those and the tree house to be sacred places. Off limits. And mind you, those were her rules.

So who breaks their own rules so um i think we all we all got you know there was not much room in the hot tub because it was like uh what an eight six to eight person hot tub and so like he said we had a lot of people there and we had two trampolines one was a little smaller and one was a bigger trampoline and the bigger trampoline didn't have a net and so somehow we all well i guess i can't remember how it's like we all just decided to get really intimate and we needed a place and the trampoline was just like right there how convenient the big trampoline so we're you know we're on the trampoline and these these are our uh these are like our closest friends we would see them you know quite often and we would have them over and um a look over at my husband and he's enjoying sex with um a young lady and And I'll see you next time.

over at my husband and he's enjoying sex with um a young lady and he goes his knee goes through the trampoline and so this is so did i almost but i recovered and to give credit to the trampoline makers that was a like a 14-year-old trampoline, and it held up. So we just moved over, and it worked out. Everybody was bouncing a little bit, but I was afraid that it was going to split wide open. Everybody was going to plop down the middle. But it held out. And so the kids are like, what happened to the trampoline? Mom looks at me.

I i'm like this is yours so anyway that's our that's that's one of our funny stories in the lifestyle we we actually have a quite a few and i actually want to i want to can i share two snapshots okay so um we've been in the lifestyle for six and a half years and, you know, to me, like being in a lifestyle, the people that we meet and find, it's like, it's a community of people.

And, um, so the snapshot that I have is yesterday when we had the lingerie, uh and so it was all girls it was all ladies and uh so Lisa got us all together and I was like gosh I'm so nervous I'm so nervous you know this is for me this is stepping out of my boundaries a little bit and then uh one of the ladies shared a story and then another lady went and hugged her and it was like they're the the people here Thank you.

then uh one of the ladies shared a story and then another lady went and hugged her and it was like they're the the people here are just we're real people and we have a lot of love and um it's just nice to it's not all about it's also about building friendships and true genuine friendships And so this is our first year at desire with the joneses and i just love the community that you guys have built so thank you thank you don't go anywhere don't go anywhere You got to come back. You left us seriously hanging. How is sex on a trampoline?

Well, like when you get over the fact that you have knee burns. It was erotic. It was, like he said, there were there eight or six there were a lot of us once everybody got in the same rhythm it helped but but it also helped that it became more intimate because you move closer to the middle and everyone's touching slightly. So there's, there's that. Yeah. Okay. So, uh, this was, uh, this was a big It was a big birthday it was a 50 50th birthday and uh he'll never top this um this has just been the most amazing um trip they are the most gracious um staff, they've got this down pat.

They decorated our room. There were flowers. They drew a bubble bath, petals on the floor in the bed, balloons. A couple times I thought the balloons were people in our room. Coming in in the dark and seeing the balloons floating around was a little scary a couple of times. Surprised me with a dessert with a Roman candle in it one night that was so sweet and I was embarrassed and happy and it made me cry because I was overwhelmed because it was just such a surprise and this place is just amazing.

attention to detail is above and beyond so I he can't top this it's thank you so very much and everybody else too thank you yeah nowhere else can you go where so many people that you don't know but no and the birthday wishes so yeah again best birthday ever and um thank you all for yes thanks thank you everybody everything it really made it a special wonderful occasion for her yes hi everybody um i'm gonna tell two stories that are interrelated and you may notice that I was in the room earlier wearing a t-shirt, and I stepped out for a moment and I changed my t-shirt because I wanted to wear it while I tell these stories.

My wife and I were at another resort. As I describe it, they allow singles, both single males and single females, so you might know which resort I'm talking about. And I was there one evening, and I was wearing this T-shirt. And for those of you listening, it says we are all human, and it has the various flags for the LGBTQ plus community. So I was there with my wife, and there was a couple there. And there was clearly a male, and his partner was transgender. They had a penis, but presented as female. And I was at the bar wearing this t-shirt, ordering a drink.

And that individual, we had been very friendly with them throughout the week. And that particular evening, as I was wearing wearing this t-shirt that individual came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder and I didn't know who it was but I turned around and they said to me I'm going to do my best impression. I love your shirt. And I said, I love you you and I gave them a hug I said I gave when you've been married for 36 years you're used to getting corrected nothing's my fault so tying a few things in, we are open to our kids. They know about our extracurricular activities.

And as I said earlier, I celebrate the fact that your kids are allowed to express themselves as well. And Mrs. Jones, you recently talked about the book Untamed. I'm going to say about two months after that, our daughter presented us that book. And she wrote a little note in the front cover. And I'm going to paraphrase it. I could read the whole thing because I took a picture of it and I carry it with me everywhere I go. But I'll paraphrase.

And she told us that she is asexual and she said i hope you know that i'm still the same person you've always known and loved and that you can accept that and we both certainly do so now i'm going to tie in the third little piece to this. And it has to do with something that you talked about recently, Mr. Jones, about bisexuality in the lifestyle community. And from my experience, there is a lot of homophobia with regards to male bisexuality. Female bisexuality is celebrated! But male bisexuality is either frowned upon or outrightly discouraged.

I like to think that I am very open-minded and accepting of all people, because we are all human. I don't care your race, your religion, your sexual desires, etc. So we had an experience where we were playing with a transgender woman at the Scarlet Ranch and my wife and that individual were playing and that individual and I were playing as well and what I will say is they used their wand on themselves and I went down on her. She was presenting as a female. And as far as she was concerned, the thing between her legs was her clitoris. It happened to look like a penis.

But I celebrated the fact that I was going down on her and bringing pleasure to her Here we go. like a penis. And so I just say to everybody listening and here, try to be open-minded and accepting of all individuals and help them celebrate their sexuality I was at the lingerie swap the other day at Desire, and I saw this really cute blue sailor outfit. Oh, this is so cute. I gotta try it on. I put the skirt on. Oh, I won't fit. It's too tight. I tried the top.

Well, first I tried the bra on. I'm like, oh, this is sexy is sexy my nipples pop out there's slits in them that works maybe i could just keep that and then i tried the top on there oh my god i can't fit into that i'm thinking who is this made for i am 107 pounds and 5'. Is this my children's costume? All right, so I take it off. Someone comes over to me and says, you are our only hope. Okay, so I'll try it on again. And I made it work. I rocked it. Thank you. And I made it work. I rocked it. So, I don't even know where to start.

It's our first time here to desire i've been listening to the joneses for what two three years now um somehow i uh talked her into coming here i didn't have to force her but there was a lot of reservation on my part even though like i made this all happen um I do I did feel like obviously I knew I did my research I knew I'd be on the younger end of the spectrum coming here I think we're in our uh what mid-30s um so I was just totally freaked out a little bit you know like nobody like nobody's going to accept us. We're going to feel left out, but it's the complete opposite.

It's, it's a great community. So, uh, with that introduction, um, uh, recently, uh, we were in the hot tub enjoying a wonderful evening of drinking and conversation. Somebody had a wonderful idea to go watch a couple have of drinking and conversation. Somebody had a wonderful idea to go watch a couple have sex on the beach. They were okay with it. So yeah, that sounds like a good time. Let's go do that. And they extended the invitation to, it was a few couples, let's just say that. So we ended up following this couple down to the beach.

And I was a little worried because we took forever to get down there. And like, they could be done by now. So I was like anxious about many things. That was one of them. So we ended up getting down there. And the couple was there just enjoying themselves and it's like okay that's great but it didn't take too too long before we just started having sex ourselves there's so down at the beach there's these wonderful beds and stereotypical sex on the beach I never thought that would happen in my life. So, yeah, it was the most amazing experience.

We have a pretty young daughter, and we haven't had loud sex in a very long time. I've never heard my wife orgasm so loud in my life since we've been married. Yes, quite beautiful. And, yeah, to finish up that snapshot, even after all that, she's very modest. We were walking up to our room after a wonderful meal of tacos that finally found them wonderful.

Yeah, I asked her how it was she's like that was all right like yeah so she's not very good with her words sometimes and obviously yeah obviously uh i i knew she had a good time but i try to like i'm trying to get her to work on the communication thing so yeah finish it up, this place is wonderful. I really appreciate you guys giving me all the attention that I don't deserve. And you may not even need to mask my voice for this because my voice is just, I've been talking so darn much. I don't recognize my own voice right now.

I have little temporary tattoos with our logo on them and I'm going around and I'm putting them on people and and this the gentleman that was just speaking um I was trying to put one on his shoulder and the first one it messed up like the little girl's head fell off so I'm like oh no I have to do another one and so I put another one you know I kind of cleaned up the residue and I put another one on his shoulder and it messed up again, well, I have to do another one, and so I put another one on, you know, I kind of cleaned up the residue, and I put another one on his shoulder, and it messed up again.

Well, what I haven't explained yet is that when I put these tattoos on, that you got to kill time. It takes like 30 seconds for it to, like, adhere, so I kiss people, so then I mess the second one up, and then I'm like, oh, no, I've got to do another one, and I think at that time, like, when I got to the third tattoo, I think he finally figured out that I might have been like taking advantage of the situation but the third one was a charm okay so I have a little bit of a sexy snapshot um and this kind of goes to the whole point that the lifestyle is very diverse, lots of people included.

And we have two special friends that we are just love and adore. And they are full swap and so are we. And we have another friend who is another set of friends that is just they just watch and I don't ever want to say just watch because we had an amazing experience with them so we had our first six sum and it was the two full swap couples and the voyeurs. And we started the evening by playing with floggers. I had never played with any kind of floggers or anything and very intimidated. But the lady voyeur tried it out on me and I enjoyed it very much.

So we met them at this odd place, Scarlet Ranch, I think I've heard of it before. So we met them, and they said, you guys got to listen to the We Got a Thing, and we're like, all right.

And the one thing I did very differently was I listened from the beginning to the end with you guys, because podcasts just seem to go backwards like it's latest to oldest i'm belaboring this point because this is this is our youngest daughter story so um so we're at it was a year ago we're at our son's wedding and my daughter kind of corners me in we rented this big huge mansion that was beautiful she corners me in the in the back side of the kitchen the the mansion. She's like, I saw this thing on your car. I did not know if you Bluetooth something to your car. It stays on your car.

Like I literally, and I'm still in disbelief. I've proved it a couple times, so she's actually right. So she corners me in the kitchen.

It's dad I know this is not like you don't let mom talk you into this stuff yeah another not so funny is that not the honest not true it is and she was sincere she was like really worried about her daddy pissed off at mom she's like and and like a month or so went by and and i'm literally i'm like i'm calling bullshit i'm like this i'm like she's fishing there's no way this happened so i called her like a month later and I'm like I said two things I don't appreciate you like trying to pry into my life with your mom because I mean we've been married almost 30 years I'm like we have an amazing relationship I think you're fishing and I don't appreciate it and just so you guys know since we've been sitting here like in this room he she's already texted him like three times so what are you doing so about a minute into this conversation she says check your phone and I look at my phone and it says we got a thing a swingers podcast and I'm looking at my holy shit she took a picture of the actual radio in the car and sent it to him.

I literally, I had no idea what to say at that point. I'm like, uh, and I was still kind of in disbelief. So then I tested it when I got home. And so moral of the story is if you blew two stuff to your car, change a channel before you get out of your car. If your kids drive your car very true that being said best podcast we've ever heard and i literally listened from one to the end and i had fomo the whole time because as i was catching up i'm like i so want to know what's going on now but i but i can't because i gotta stop because i gotta start from one and go on. And it's her fault.

And by the way, it's not my fault. I'm enjoying every minute of it. Totally her fault. I had no intention to do any of this ever in my life. Yeah. See, it's okay. When I say, if you're under 18, get back to doing your homework. And then I need to say, hey, mom and dad, disconnect your Bluetooth after you finish listening. Yeah. And just amazingly, you know, it goes from hilarious and then to some just really deep, meaningful um stories that were shared so it it was just a it was a really good vibe in that disco yeah that day once we got everybody going yeah it was great and we thank you all for sharing it was an amazing time i'm not sure if we can top those snapshots i know like i i have more than one i'm just gonna tell you right now okay well then you should go first well the first one is really um it was something that happened in the hot tub with you um you ended up kissing a lady and uh it was there the lady and her husband are very new to the lifestyle and they um have like we've known them for a while we we met them last year um and they're they're just really progressing at their pace and uh she kissed you in the hot tub and first of all she's gorgeous.

i knew that you really wanted to kiss her so you guys enjoyed a pretty long kiss and i enjoyed watching that but what i really enjoyed was watching her husband watch that um the whole compersion thing was just happening perfectly and um he he just the look on his face well he's very very handsome and he's a very nice man and uh just to watch him enjoy it um he didn't look nervous he didn't look um on edge about you know being at the end of his comfort zone or whatever he just looked like he was just taking it in and enjoying it for what it was. So I just, that was nice to take that in.

That's good to know. I always want the husband to be looking at me that way. Yeah. And not another way. There was no stink eye going on. And it's a little like the naming of the resort is a little confusing. for whatever reason they can't use the um desire brand in the dominican republic well there's no public there's no public sex right um like on on the beach so they're they're making the resort a little more secluded on the like air quote desire side.

Right that side is going to be the desire experience just not with the desire name right so there's going to be a temptations resort and a desire resort that are adjacent to each other but there is going to be some sort of a physical separation um, between the two areas, uh, the desire people can go to the temptation side, but the temptation side won't be invited to the desire side. Right. Um, but anyway, it's supposed to open the, the construction is supposed to be done, uh, mid summer and they're going to do a soft opening late summer.

And then the grand opening is October 1st, at least as of now. I think they're booking for that. yeah so we're going to do a soft opening late summer, and then the grand opening is October 1st. Yeah, they're booking. At least as of now. I think they're booking for that. Yeah, so we're going to try to keep our eyes on that. We may try to go down there for one of the early in 2023 or late 2022, depending on what they ask us to do. I am so excited because you and I love the Dominican Republic.

I mean, we've been to Punta several times now this is the north side of the island the the area is called Miches yes um so you know that'll be like a new part of the DR for us but the beaches are amazing there and the people are just so warm and gracious wonderful hospitality in Dominican Republic and they're offering some of the Desire staff an opportunity to go help open it to help train. So it'll be cool. It'll be good. It's definitely needed because Pearl and RM are at capacity a lot. Right, right. So this is going to be good for Desire.

And we actually saw a construction picture, so we know it's getting close. It looks like it's going to be really beautiful. So, happy Thanksgiving. Have a great holiday season.
