Welcome to Swinger University, your horizontal enrichment program, bringing you an educational podcast about swinging here are your hosts ed and phoebe hello day two from the swinger bliss cruise we're gonna run down what happened we're gonna start off with a pool party because usually every day starts off with a pool party yeah swinger cruises are kind of like that it's uh it's a lot of pool party it is well yes that if you're not at the pool during the day you are in classes or doing some meet and greets so you have again variety of things that you want to do to do and things that you want to choose from.
The pool party yesterday was really, really fun. The nude dancing, it's, I'm giggling a little because I just don't see that very often. Even at our nudist resort, it's, I don't know, somehow it's different when you're observing from a top deck on a boat, a bunch of bodies dancing at the pool.
It was just, it was, it was fun and it was silly and they were doing a teaching them a line dance which was actually pretty cool um the topless travel playmakers were were teaching the the line dance and so everyone learned a new dance which was which was great and they did it naked and it was fun because it was one of these dances with thrusting and bouncing and you know a fair amount of ass-shaking going on so hence the giggling part right there was there were some entertaining visuals to go along with the music which was fabulous I know it was great we did get some input from some of our nudist friends they thought people were less nude on this cruise.
And I asked them why. And they said, and they're nudists themselves, and they said that more people were wearing bottoms. Right. And mostly people were topless. And I thought that was interesting. I hadn't really made that observation. But to me, you know, people were nude. But I guess nude is like nude nude. And, you know, it's funny because nudists are full naked all the time. Yes. Swingers are, well, I'll show anybody my tits. But apparently we're a little shy with showing off the junk. And for me, you know, I kind of get it. I'm now comfortable at the nudist resort.
I mean, it takes me a little bit to warm up. It's almost like I have to switch my brain over from normal life to like nudist life. Uh, once I get through the gates, but here when you're with 3000 people now, not all 3000 are at the pool at the same time.
right it i don't know you know all these individuals I've never been on this boat so for me it's almost like a it takes me a while to warm up to get comfortable and it's almost like a safety thing like I have to feel like I'm really safe I mean it's I know it sounds weird but obviously the boat's safe no one's gonna attack me or anything like that but it's that internal level of like comfort safety it's hard to describe yeah but it to me the my best word is safety now at the end of the week i may be ripping off all my clothes and dancing at the pool too right but it takes me a while to warm up it's that level of familiarity right like get kind of settled in, which is one of the reasons why we switched from the five-day cruises in the spring to the seven-day cruises in the fall because of that warm-up period.
And you get seven days. So, you know, you get a couple extra days to warm up. For me, yeah, definitely needed. All right.
Moving on to some of our technology issues and why you didn't get the podcast yeah i'll keep this brief because it's um it's not sexy it's not sexy and it's irritating um for me being the tech guy so the ship's wi-fi last cruise last november when we uploaded episodes it was almost flawless like it was so easy i was like hey let's do everything this year we'll do video we'll do the podcast we'll push it all up it'll be freaking awesome like well let's up our game and the wi-fi on the ship has been very spotty and even like browsing the internet it'll like cut out and you'll have to reconnect and whatever.
So getting the audio up wasn't that bad, but the video was a definitely a no-go. So we had to throw those plans out and we'll have to do some, we'll do something different for video later. We're going to do some, shorts where hopefully we'll be able to push those up. Right. And it's important, the internet access, that information is important for the listeners to know. Because if you are working a little bit or you need to stay connected to the family, it's kind of hit and miss. On one ship, it may be great. On another ship.
It might not be a lot of people were complaining, asking for refunds because we were at the desk and we overheard them. And I asked the same questions. Um, and we got a, um, sorry, your mileage will vary. Yeah. Um, a bunch of excuses for that.
Um, so I mean, it really is kind of known that if you're at sea you just really almost have to just turn your phone off right the other thing is the bliss cruise has an app for you to connect with people on the ship you type in their room number you put their name in there and then you can message and figure you know meet up here or there during during the day or evening but even that drops its connection to the wi-fi so this is all the reason why you just have a card just have a card with your room number so you can go to people's doors leave a note or show up or you just close the deal and you make that date because if you're relying on your phone and the internet, yeah, it's not going to happen.
And I actually think this is a little life lesson also. If you're on vacation, maybe consider just leaving the devices at home, so to speak. I know. And, you know, it's funny. Doing the podcast from the ship is kind of a catch-22 for us. We want to share, and we think it's fun content, but at the same time, it also means that we're working. We're sitting at breakfast, we're writing outlines, things like that. And, you know, we're balanced, right? We've got a, quote, work-life balance on the whole thing.
But it is when you run into technology issues and stuff it can really put a tweak on your vacation and i think you know that's a good reason to to maybe consider shutting off while you're while you're on vacation exactly dinner moving on to dinner we sat we went in the main dining room and we sat with four other random couples one was stronger are they don't swing with other people but they love the swingers yeah and these are the nudist folks that were telling us about the the less nude than nudists yes and then one other swinger couple so we all had a great chat uh dinner was okay uh wasn't the the best although the the uh the food to be clear the people were freaking awesome yeah the food was meh but we did hear the second night a little preview in tomorrow's podcast that uh the the food did improve so you know i'm going to give the ship a break because I think it is all new staff.
The boat has been redone. And so, and I also heard they were short about 400 people. And so, you know, there are some hiccups. Yeah. Which makes this experience just a little less than previous list cruises.
And probably the biggest detractor for the dinner wasn't necessarily the food it was just how long it took to get through the meal yeah and and this is a good tip for people who want to come on any cruise not just a swinger cruise the the main dining room is a is a dining experience it's a multi-course meal so you they seat you they get you your cocktail they bring you your entree it takes a while so if you if you want to get to that drink date or if you want to get to the playroom or to the event or whatever that's going on that night or a show think really carefully about your timing and how much time you can spend because the dining room, it's going to take a while.
Exactly. Let's see. Drinks at the bar have been a little bit slow. I think that has to do with the staffing. So that's all part of the, you know. Yeah. And the other aspect of that is we're pretty sure swingers are heavy drinkers because the tipping we had heard, This is a good one. The other aspect of that is we're pretty sure swingers are heavy drinkers because the tipping we had heard, this was fun, fun little fact, the bartenders have been earning more tips in this one night than they do in like months on vanilla cruises. An entire month, yeah.
Swingers tipped more in one night than they earn an entire month on a vanilla cruise, yeah. Mm-hmm, it's pretty amazing, we're awesome people. We're very friendly people, we are happy to thank you for your drink service and reward you because we're happy getting our drink on, so there you go.
So after dinner we went to the show the lalas from la is a very um amazing burlesque show uh let's see it was five women so five or six women yeah uh the mc was this little powerhouse just She was funny and feisty and just very entertaining the women were gorgeous and excellent dancers and very erotic and their costumes were phenomenal so it was it was a fun experience i will say i was i kind of had the experience after the you know the first half didn't really need the second half to get the feel the flavor for it I was kind of anxious to get up and go do other things but we were stuck in the middle of the theater so I couldn't leave yeah but um but yeah I would highly recommend seeing them if you are in the LA area or if they're traveling yeah and you know you're on a swinger cruise when the people in the audience have less clothes than the burlesque dancers on stage okay can we talk about october for a second oh my god yeah i've been waiting for this we were invited to be guest speakers for two engagements on a six-star crystal cruise ship with 310 lifestyle couples and it sails from montreal to boston during the peak foliage season i'm super excited and honestly i'm really nervous yeah it's kind of a version of like a swinger ted talk that we're gonna have to do oh my god i know and more importantly if you know the brand it's llv luxury lifestyle vacations you may have seen them and they're sexy playmakers with their fun red hats this ship the crystal symphony is classy butler service for every single room michelin rated restaurants full spa clothing optional Thank you.

And so for me, it was kind of like, why do you have pasties on? Right. Well, because they're not swingers and that's their... And that's burlesque. That's burlesque.
So, but i really wanted a stripper show is what i wanted well you know we've been seeing naked boobies all over the ship all day long like even in the dining room they're not out but they've got like a very thin coating of highly perforated fabric over them so you know you can pretty much see boobies all day long i know so so to go to the sexy sexy show and see less less nipple than you get uh on in the buffet yeah there you go that's probably part of the i'm sure that's part of the reason why i was like okay i'm ready to move on yeah that and but i will say they were they were not hard to look at no these women were Thank you.
reason why i was like okay i'm ready to move on yeah that and but i will say they were they were not hard to look at uh these women were gorgeous yes yes so then uh after that we came back to the room got our club wear on we didn't dress the theme because of the controversy i had a backup outfit which was nice and sexy it was a nice black lakes dress with yeah a little print on it there there were there was a pretty good mix of people who were just dressing sexy and then there were other people who you know had had kind of dressed for the theme I'd say most people if they dressed the theme they, they dressed like Pretty Woman.
Not most people. There were a lot of Julia Roberts character from Pretty Woman. They went funny instead of, you know. Trashy. Trashy or, you know, the true definition of it. And I think a lot of people did not participate. I didn see a lot of costumes for that for the theme especially not for the other theme night i mean it didn't it just didn't compare so you know maybe people also had an issue with that well and we talked to a number of people who didn't like the title we talked to other podcasters who didn't like the title and we talked to just general guests who we'd run across.
They were like yeah i mean the themes in general they were like yeah they're kind of tired um and yeah they're not that great and i said great go ahead and write you know make it do that in the comment section and all that right when at the end of the cruise make sure you make. So, yeah, we're trying to get the word out. So we'll see. Yeah. We'll see. So we danced for a few hours and then danced with the two Hot Wives crew. They're a lot of fun. Yeah. They have a lot of energy. A ton of energy, great personalities. They love dancing.
And so we've seen them pretty much every night at the dance club and uh super flirty we've been flirting with them it's it's been a lot of fun yes and i did check under oh so the two hot wives their husbands were julia roberts and they were they were the men what were they wearing like a white long shirt a man's shirt with lingerie underneath and high heels. It was very sexy. Yeah. So they did the role reversal. So, of course, I had to ask one of the wives' husbands if, you know, he had, like, underwear on underneath the skirt because I was thinking kilt, right? Ask. I think you just checked.
Well, I did. I followed suit. Another woman checked. And I said, oh, can I check also and he said sure so and I was like wait a minute there's underwear on under there so I was a little disappointed but I'm just slightly disappointed not a lot because I still got a good feel yeah you still got to grab the cack it was nice. Uh so dancing the edm music was good um but but my only issue was the the dj he would switch the song so like you get your groove on you're like oh i love this song it's so great and you start going and then he like switches it you're barely got started.
I couldn't even sing along yet. Yeah, yeah, it was a fair amount of that. And I think a lot of it's kind of just, like, flavors of songs, and they kind of just move through their playlist. Yeah, I know. I just, anyway. It is disappointing when you find that song. Yes.
So, went back to the room after that changed into some lingerie yeah i was wearing my sexy alphabet bodysuit the uh crotchless bodysuit that's a that suits a lot of fun yeah and i really wanted to have sex in all in clothing with crop you know because you've worn that several times around the house for for photo shoots and and content but we've never had sex in it. No, and I was like, I want to try it. I want to see if it actually, you know. Does it work? Does the crotchless work? We have to test the product. Does it get in the way?
I will say legs in the air were easier, but once I put my legs kind of down a little bit, the crotch kind got in the way of oh yeah it was like right across my the bridge of my nose i couldn't quite get in there thankfully my tongue was like just long enough i could get in there but um yeah so so that was fun so of course we we we pick a bed in the solarium That's wide open, right? Full-on exhibitionist bed. There was four of them together, no curtains, right out in the middle. And we're like, perfect. Let's go lay down and start bucking.
We were trying to catch more flies with honey, so to speak. Get them to come in. And lo and behold, another couple came up on a bed, kitty corner from us, nice tattooed couple, and they started playing as well. So we got to watch them while they watched us, which was really hot and erotic, and we thought maybe, you know. Yeah, maybe there'll be some reach over and some touchy-touchy, but it didn't happen. It didn't happen, but that's alright right. So we had a good time, and then with all the sights and sounds and moans and screaming and orgasms going on. Yeah, the spank.
Oh, yeah, and the spanking, too. Like, ooh, somebody's having a good time. Booty slapping. So, yeah, that was a lot of fun. And then after that. Yeah yeah so each night on the bliss cruise they do uh an after playroom after party cookie thing in the uh in the buffet so they bring a cookie tray around and uh i'm trying to remember do they do milk yeah so milk and cookies right perfect for going to bed right but they also have the buffet food and all that. So we sat down, had some food, had some milk and cookies.
But before we get into that, I do want to just round out the solarium, what it looked like. It was you had that open area, and then you had beds lined up with curtains and stuff so you could be private.
And then there was a small there a heated pool so people were actually in it so it was very bathhouse right right so it was very intimate lighting was low and it was cozy and warm and you had a shower and water and bathroom access to a bathroom so it was it was quite amazing right so back to the food uh we got the cookies and milk we got some food and then we sat down next to this well actually it's four four people two couples from australia yeah they were waving to somebody and we'd mistaken everybody said this happened right that you know people wave through you past you right and uh we were like oh hey and and they're like come sit down so we did we sat down with them we did and they oh my gosh a 24-hour flight just to get on this cruise that is dedication dedication to the lifestyle right there.
24 hours. Absolutely. Now, she is a travel agent. Her name's Karina. And to be maybe a little more specific, she promotes and manages a lifestyle cruise in Australia. yeah swingercruise.au I was like, why are you here if you have your own? She's like, well, I have to try them all over. She's like, they're all different. I want to try them all. Right. And so I thought, well, yeah, that makes sense, you know.

And then he got it, and then he was like, oh. Because I get all the time that I look like Lisa Kudrow, especially when my hair was blonde, when I was bleaching it blonde.
So hence, that's where Phoebe came from. Yeah, so the conversation was so so funny and so fun and hanging out with them was so interesting that we ended up staying way longer than what we planned. Yeah. And we looked at the clock and we were like, oh, it's 3.15. Yeah. We never stay up that late. No. Never. But it's easy to do here. It really is.
uh we're like that crap we gotta go to bed which is another lesson about the cruise and something that everybody should take away from this and that is you can get caught up in the moment and you can overextend yourself with the drinking and the sun and staying up really late and you know it's been it's been a little unfortunate for us because it means that our mornings are getting later and later right so you know we're not getting out of bed when we normally do we're not getting to the things we want to right right but all this stuff's happening in the evening so it does require a bit planning if you're're not a planner um i mean that's fine but if you do want to do some very specific things like the classes or an excursion yeah or a speed dating you you do have to plan the night before um or you just be tired and red bullet and and so either be either be comfortable with just going with the flow and what happens, happens.
Or, you know, pick your moments when you can let that happen. But realize, you know, if you have an 8 a.m. cooking class on shore in Aruba, you may need to go to bed early. Because staying up till 4 a.m. and then getting off the boat and into town by 8 a.m. Not going to happen. I don't know how they did that. And who wants to take your cooking class at 8 a.m.? I don't know. But they did. Hey, you know, if it's a really cool cooking class, you get some Caribbean food cooking, that'd be kind of cool. True.
