Here we are, day five,a rica llv hotel takeover yes it's lovely day five but i i'm winding down a little bit i will say i'm winding down yeah today it's today feels a little extra humid and hot and and i'm not sure if it's just because we're a bit worn down, a little worse for wear maybe, I don't know. We did a lot of day drinking yesterday, so maybe that contributed to the overall. You did.

I tried to abstain because after we slept in yesterday i was feeling a little off and i realized that drinking the local water probably wasn't a good idea which is weird because we've never been warned about the water in costa rica and they they don't have enough bottled water for everybody to go around so you pretty much have to drink the tap water or dehydrate and die next to the pool so it's you choose right so i'm assuming that bad effect that you all know that we're talking about is because of the bacteria in the water so could be the water it also could be the the food that we ate because we we ate it uh but we don't feel horrible horrible it's like not montezuma's revenge from mexico it's not right anywhere near that it's just yeah a little unpleasant yeah a little tum tum yes i'm some imodium ad a little bit of tums and light on the you know, away you go.

Today, I'm much better, but then you are where I was yesterday. Of course, I had to pick up. Yeah, you had to pick up. So there's that. So, yeah. Yesterday, we did our thing, slept in, started off the day slow, and then we went to town with our new friends. Yeah. Did a little shopping. Checked out the local wooden penis bottle openers that are, like, in all the shops. A lot of carved goods and painted goods and, you know, coasters. Some pretty great carvings down here. Artwork. It's pretty phenomenal. I'm really impressed.

The local local craft like if you if you really want that style of art if you want kind of central american art there are some really good artists down here um and and even i mean even the really simple coasters i mean a lot of them are hand carved like they're they put some work in and they've got these hand turned bowls and they're all from this hardwood that's local to costa rica so it's kind of cool right well and then at breakfast they always have some sort of carved fruit so they took a cantaloupe and carved it into a flower or something some cool design and then took a pineapple and did something crazy cool i don't know fun with fruit do that oh fun with fruit peaches yeah so we went to town we did the shopping and then we found a restaurant that we really liked and we sat it was right on the beach it was so nice the breeze was great we were under a tree in the shade and we ordered fish tacos and margaritas and i I had a Mai Tai.

I don't know why. I was just feeling it. You were feeling particularly tropical. Going against the grain of everybody else at the table. I had some nachos. Oh, my God. I should post how huge that was, the plate of nachos. Yeah, we'll put it up on Instagram. It was not a plate of nachos. It was a platter of nachos. We all probably could have eaten that, and it would have been plenty of food. Yeah. So that was good, and we had a great conversation with our new sexy friends. Then if they went and did the horses, and you never rode a horse before, now your legs are tired from that. That will bust you up. Right.

And then the zip line, I don't know how. That's not really very. Yeah, it's not too rough on you. But even going down the water slide, they had like an inner tube and you were in water. A lot of people in different tax brackets, mostly in a tax bracket that is far outside our own. Yeah. We're talking two degrees away from Elon Musk kind of tax bracket. And I say that.

We're not just like idly throwing Elon's name into this. This guy actually kind of knows Elon kind of thing. The ex-wife. Right. parties with yeah so we're like okay and then i'm like oh that's cool right um i love it i mean it's it's fun but but now you know what the kind of the clientele here. And I'm curious, and I started asking, well, then how do you find the facilities? Because a lot of people really like Desire and Pearl, and I know how catered it is there. I know you can buy the penthouses and things like that, and the food has changed out every day, or it's just stellar.

food here is the same pretty much every day a little bit of variety and knowing you know what it's like here I I asked you know how you doing so people were a little um well they were very nice about it but it's not what they expected. They didn't dislike it, but they definitely pointed out the differences between the two. Right. It wasn't quite up to the usual kind of desire standards that they were familiar with. And I get that, and that's why I pointed that out, Desire and Pearl, because if you've been there, I can imagine it's going to be pretty hard to match that. Right.

So they were underwhelmed, but, you know, everyone's still having a good time. They're still having a good time, yeah. But I will honestly say I don't think they would do this one again. yeah yeah so I guess I would say if you are used to going down desire twice a year you're used to that type of luxury or if you want to spend 400 to 3600 dollars a night on a hotel which some of these people do some people are gonna leave tomorrow and tomorrow, but at the end of seven days, go across the way to the Four Seasons and spend $3,600 a night on their hotel.

If you are that kind of person, you probably won't like this resort. But that doesn't mean LOV can't do another lifestyle takeover somewhere at a different resort. And I would humbly suggest that they do because it's just too spread out. Um, it's beautiful. It's absolutely beautiful, but you kind of need the, that confine restricting, confining thing that we talk about. Yeah. You kind of push people together to build energy, right? It's like that vision reaction, right? You know, the tighter the bodies are together, the more energy gets pumped out.

Um, the lower pool is a classic example of that where there's, there's enough people and it's a small enough space where you kind of have to flirt with people. You kind of have to like, you know, make sexy comments because they're right there. Yeah. And it's fun. we were on the cruise the blues cruise that's why i liked the the um the promenade the promenade because it was so packed you you couldn't help but bump and rub into people which sparked oh my gosh i'm so sorryebe. Um, it's still beautiful, but it's a little bit more rustic and this is a little bit more, uh, refined or more refined, but they kind of feel this i i hear i get what you're saying but they they still feel the same to me honestly they're very similar i think this has that kind of grandeur to it because there's the big hotel up on the hill and then everything's kind of spread across and right they've got the lights and the sweeping staircases down and it's all the you know columns and balustrades and blah right which is really not my thing I like the small intimate boutique cute like little nooks and places to hide away and gardens and all that which is yeah we loved the smaller boutique resort because of the intimate the kind of how hugged you felt by the jungle right like you were wrapped up in in all of the the flowers and the trees and the monkeys jumping across the roof and it was just just you just felt like you were closer to nature and here's definitely more of the traditional resort like if this place could be in palm springs oh sure yeah um it's you don't really other than the types of trees that are here right it's just a hotel like it's just a big spread out hotel right right not not good not bad just that yeah i think the main complaint is just people don't really like doing all the walking back and forth through their room it's just too far for them and and we lucked out for some reason i don't know how we got the nearest building to everything everything like we're close to the disco so for theme night i don't phoebe doesn't have to like take a shuttle or hike all the way up a hill we've got 70 steps that we go up and down right it's not that bad it's not that bad in high heels but we've got friends who are on the other side of the compound they're like the farthest building away and they can't you just can't walk yeah you have to bring your shoes your backup pair your high heel shoes with you and walk over in your flip-flops right and that's what some people do so um you know kudos to llv for trying out this resort but knowing their clientele i i don't think it's going to be the best choice i don't think they're going to get people to come back yeah Yeah, and I think the other piece of conversation is that we're going to have a lot of people that we're going to have a lot of't think it's going to be the best choice i don't think they're going to get people to come back yeah and i think the other piece of conversation that was had yesterday wasn't so much the resort or the food which i think is a factor but it's probably a smaller factor because i think anybody who comes to central america kind of knows it's not the four seasons in beverly hills right it is still a moderately impoverished Thank you.

America kind of knows it's not the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, right? It is still a moderately impoverished third world country, um, maybe second world, but it's, it's a little bit more rustic than, than you would get back in the States, which we love. I love. Cause if I can get that, I can't get the Four Seasons in the United States. Why would I come here to see the same damn shit? It's like getting McDonald's in a foreign country. Why would you get a hamburger? I enjoy the food. Anyway.

But I think that the other aspect of Costa Rica, which some people have kind of alluded to, was the shows were really elaborate in a lot of the other places so when they did Cabo they had truckloads of gear like little like Cirque du Soleil kind of shows going on so this is definitely very low-key and logistically difficult to get those types of entertainers here yes so the live bands the you know the music every night we were supposed to have violin and sax pretty much every night we had one sax at the beginning and we had one violin at the end and then they left yeah like it was super brief so it seems like they've they're they're not able to put on the same level of show that they used to put on at the other events.

And I think some people have noticed that. It's been good for us. Right. Yeah. When I say logistics, it's flights, which were very difficult for people on the West Coast to get. Easier for people in the and east as it always is i don't know i don't know why it's so weird on the west coast with san francisco being right there i i'm not sure um and then uh well the roads you know here aren't that great so you know traffic and so there you go, logistics. Overall, I think the vacation is designed for definitely lifestyle people, but not swingers.

I mean, if you swing, the swinging aspect is kind of the afterthought. But it's more geared towards people that just want to, you know, be naked and see sexy shit. Hang out, be sexy, and yeah, do their thing. So, and that's all right. You know, just wasn't what we were expecting, but there you go. But there you go. So we're going to head down to the pool, hook up with our yoga friends, and go have some sex.
