So once again, ticketforplay.com forward slash Swinky, the code SwingerU-VIP. We really want to see you there. Here we are, day two in sunny Costa Rica.
As you can see see behind us we're literally in the jungle which is amazing and beautiful and you can hear the jungle birds behind us uh squawking away so that's kind of fun yeah which is one of the reasons why we wanted it to go outside so that you could see possibly some things run past us and hear all the amazing sounds so what happened yesterday oh my gosh okay so yesterday was really orientation day people are flying in getting their bearings getting all set up that type of stuff that happens on day one and then we right around dinner time right before dinner time we had an orientation of a lay of the land of what, you know, what to expect in Costa Rica when you leave the resort, what the town is like, you know, where to find things, all that money, shopping, whatever.
And then we had a speed dating event, which was a lot of fun. Yeah, and it's a different kind of speed dating event uh everyone's given a nut or a bolt so if you're a gentleman you get a bolt if you're a lady you get a nut and they're all different sizes and so the the object of the game is to go around the room and find your matching nut bolt combination and if it matches then introduce yourselves, have a little bit of a conversation, and then five minutes later, you rotate. So it's kind of fun.
And it's not just your standard, ring the bell, go to the next table, ring the bell, go to the next table. It's a little bit of a scavenger hunt too, which makes it that much more fun and more interesting and it's funny too because some of the guys will have a really large bolt and your nuts really small and so i found myself walking up to people and well oh my god your bolt is so big so you start laughing and it sparks conversation and then you know you get to know people in a I'll see you next time. so big. So you start laughing and it sparks conversation.
And then, you know, you get to know people in a different way. And sometimes that's all we need is just a little bit of an icebreaker. So that was a lot, a lot of fun. Yeah. And, you know, the typical questions about how'd you get in the lifestyle? Is this your first trip? Have you ever been to Costa Rica before? And away you go. Exactly. And some people were a little rebellious. And if they didn't match, they stayed and talked anyway. Yes. Which kind of made sense because some people lingered a little longer when they were talking with their matches, et cetera. Yeah.
Sometimes you find a good connection. You're like, ooh, I want to know more. yeah then we had dinner yeah and dinner was oh my god dinner was amazing so every day we get the menu of what it's going to be last night it was fish you got an entire fish wrapped in this aluminum foil the head on it and the tail and everything and then we had rice and beans and plantains, and what else did we have with that meal? I can't remember.
There were everything and then we had rice and beans and plantains and what else did we have with that meal i can't remember uh there were some vegetables and i don't know all i remember is how good the damn fish was yeah the fish was very good a white fish it's amazing yeah and there's usually beans and rice with every meal and usually some kind of a baked or fried plantain, which is great for dessert. It tastes so good. And we say beans and rice, but these are not your standard beans and rice. They're like better beans and rice. Yeah, it's seasoned.
So it's almost like a Spanish rice where it's got some flavoring and some seasoning, but it's unique to costa rica and so good some some yummy stuff so then we had the dinner and we got ready and we all hopped on this massive bus and we headed into town which was a whole what five seven minutes right so we could have just walked but the bus was nice because some of us had some high heel flip-flops and got off and we got to walk through town. We took everyone through a tour of, you know, what to see in town, where to stop, where the hot spots are. And we stopped at a bar.
The goal was to stop at two bars. But during this, we were also doing a poker crawl where you pick a card. And at the end of the night, if you've got, you know, whoever wins poker gets a free weekend at Sea Mountain. Yeah, Sea Mountain Inn. Yeah, so there was a winner, and the first bar we went to was the Om Bar, and it was a lot of fun. The drinks were expensive, but it was a lot of fun. And the music was great. In fact, I took a video in the bathroom. I haven't looked at it yet. See how good it is. And so if it's good, I'll post it up on TikTok for you guys. You didn't know that part.
I didn't know that part. I was like, what? What? Huh? Yeah, so the Ombar was fun. Very young crowd there. And so we were getting a lot of looks because we were a big group. Most people kind of came with two or three of their friends. And they were there for the normal downtown crowd. And we were the unusual downtown crowd. So we were new. And it was interesting. There was a lot of American music being played in this bar in English. So that was kind of surprising. But we loved it because we could relate to it. And maybe the DJ did that on purpose. I'm not sure when he saw us. Could be.
Now that I think about it. Could be. We were done there. We spent about, I don't know, an hour there.
and then we went back out and we went to the next bar there was actually two other bars we were supposed to go to but we ended up at the marlin because that music was way better than the other one in fact the other one didn't have any music which is why we all went to the marlin yeah the green room had um ended the the live music usually there's live music played there and they were they were done performing for the night by the time we had gotten there which is which was early um oh yeah it wasn't that late now and so we all kind of migrated over to the black marlin which was laser lights discotheque stripper pole in the middle of the room um a lot of people having fun a lot of people Thank you.
marlin which was laser lights disco tech stripper pole in the middle of the room um a lot of people having fun a lot of people taking their turn on the pole and it was it was a lot of fun yeah guys and girls were on the pole and apparently we were making such a big scene that the locals were shooting tiktok videos of us and the dj was shooting tiktok videos videos of us. So we may be in a bunch of Costa Rican TikTok accounts showing up in social media. So we'll see. Yes. It was, oh my God, so much fun. So much fun. We drank a lot. It was a lot of fun. I danced a lot. Oh my God.
And my my body is sore today. Oh, yeah. Back. Between the hiking before up at Arenal and yesterday walking around and bombing in the pool. This is a very active trip. So if you come with us, you do have your relaxing time by the pool, but you're also out on excursions either hosted by us that you pay for as part of your package or you go do extra ones because you have free days as well. So people are coordinating their own excursions that they want to go on on their free days, which are Monday and Wednesday.
So we're trying to choose which ones that we want to go on and then coordinate that with others because it's fun to do things with others. Imagine that. Some of the ones that we find intriguing are the chocolate tour because there's also a butterfly enclosure nearby. You get to actually make your own chocolate. Of course, see the history of it, walk through the field, all behind the scenes, which I personally love. And there's a rappel down the waterfall. And, of course, you can ATV and horseback ride and zipline and all that stuff. Most of what we have done before in previous vacations.
So we want to do something a little different. Because we're always into trying new things. Variety is the spice of life. All right. Last stop of last night was the Cocal Hotel, which is a hotel that's been not set up. It's a very old hotel. And so the owners decided that they would make this hotel a place for the prostitutes, because prostitution is legal, to come and have a safe place to meet the men and then take them to the hotel room and, you know, have a good time.
So since prostitution, like I said, is legal here, all the women are licensed, they have regular health checks, and they carry this card and health card around with them. So if you are curious about a co-cow girl, which they call them the co-cow girls instead of a prostitute, you can always ask for her card if you want to check to see if she's licensed and safe and SDI, safe and all that stuff. So, yeah, it was an amazing place. You go in, there's a pool, there's music. My God, the food was amazing there. And like most tripper clubs, the food is pretty good.
So the women were, they looked a little younger this time than three years ago when we were there. Yeah, there wasn't as much of a variety of body shapes and ages as the last time we were here. Yeah. Yeah, they did seem a lot younger. Yeah. Maybe we were just older, I don't know. There is that. But it was fun to see all the sexy ladies and the men hanging out and kind of how this process worked and how the ladies would, you know, sort of, you know, saddle up to the guy. And it's a guy, you know, how they negotiated, right, business, right? Right. But it was very, very safe.
And it was fun to be with our group and watching and observing, having drinks and food. Yeah, it's entertaining just because of the scene and how everyone's interacting. There was a woman walking around, I think, trying to sell a purse, a knit purse, which was very interesting. I'm not sure exactly what she was doing, but it looked like that.
I thought it was just her technique of trying't know lure the man over it was a little confusing as to what she was actually trying to accomplish but it was it was interesting to say the least i know the the other thing that's really interesting about sex work in costa rica is uh pimps and madams are not allowed they're they're contractors. They're their own entrepreneur. It's their own business. So it kind of changes the dynamics. And the government doesn't believe in exploitation. These are women who are out there doing their own thing. So it's different.
It's a lot different than what we have in the united states and it it seems to be working for them in the local economy so yeah and it it you know you're not going to stop that type of um profession sex work or you know things that you choose to do you no matter how many regulations you put on it so they what they did is they just made it safer that way you know people aren't you know on the streets having to you know i don't know being in risky situations sometimes right this is very safe for them and so it it's great i mean it's a win-win for everybody quite honestly yeah yeah like said, very different dynamic than what we have in the United States where it's shunned, it's shamed, it's illegal.
So it's a very risky process. You can't report someone abusing a sex worker because it's a crime to even engage in that. And so, there's just a whole bunch of layers of how that just doesn't work for anybody. Anybody can be taken advantage of in that situation. And here, because it is legal and regulated and controlled, it seems to be working very well for them. And it's been going forever. Yeah, many, many years. So that was fun. We got to really enjoy that environment. And then I was tired. Yes, we came home and did our own thing. We did.
We considered dipping ourselves into the pool to cool off, but I was very tired. Just too tired. I just needed to sleep. But we didn't sleep. No. There were nocturnal activities that occurred. The bar, the dancing, the drinks, and all those sexy ladies at the Cocal Hotel really got me turned on. So I had my way with Ed last night. Did her thing. So today...
Always a good time yeah i enjoyed it let's see what else oh yesterday we yeah we kind of glossed over that we kind of glossed over the pool time which was you know standard pool time honestly naked a lot of naked bodies we had oh the theme was animal print so a lot of people had animal ears animal uh bathing suit maybe bottoms or a top if you wore both and we had the bull in the pool the writing what do you call it it's the writing bull yeah it's an inflatable bull that that kind of rocks around and so you all know what it is people were because at the end of the week, there's going to be a contest to see who can stay on the longest.
So that'll be fun. Yes. That damn thing is slippery. It's really hard to stay on. And it moves around. It was so funny. People were making so many jokes about one of the guys got up there and they were laughing about his butt cheeks were just clamping onto the bull. And the guys were trying to throw him off, and he had some strong legs, or as they were saying, butt cheeks that were really holding him on. And then one of our other lady friends, she was in the pool without a bathing suit, and she was making fun of herself about. Having to put her butt up in the air.
Throw her leg over, and now you could see all the way up up to her cervix to china so she was a she's always a hoot she makes a lot of fun of herself and makes me laugh very competitive her goal is to yes to get up and stay up so yes so it's on have you been practicing i have not so i have to have to get up my my bull riding skills. Today, we're going to have some pool games. We are going to talk about that tomorrow. And I think, oh, one last thing that was really exciting about yesterday. Talk about it. The little furry things. Yeah.
So it's typically at this resort, there's a troop of monkeys that goes through every morning And they pick mangoes and the ones that they don't like they throw down onto the ground or onto the tin roofs which makes a ton of noise well because of the strange rainfall that they've been having this year the date palm bloomed late and so the fruit now is ripe and ready.
And so the monkeys are coming down to the pool area and eating the fruit and it was great because we're all sitting in the pool having conversation and this group of monkeys start climbing and jumping through the trees and like a dozen not even kidding oh yeah at least a, if not double that. Big monkeys, all capuchin monkeys, so the white-faced monkeys, and baby monkeys, like little tiny ones with their moms.
And they were either hanging on to them, and you'd watch the older, more experienced monkeys and the mother monkeys jumping, like barely getting a hold of the branch when they land on it and then just going. And then you could see that the younger kind of teenaged monkeys that weren't quite as sure of themselves were very hesitant to jump. And one of the mama monkeys had to come back and get the younger monkey and take him across.
But it was so funny to watch him go, I i don't know i'm not sure if i can make it and he'd go down and up the banana leaf and it was it was quite entertaining and everybody got to see a little discovery channel action at the pool and i love how we do things just like animals do or yes we're similar in the sense where you need some momentum so they would literally like go back and then launch themselves forward they didn't just go boing right they catapulted themselves from one tree to the next yeah and um it was just fun to kind of see them do this whole process and go from tree to tree to tree and tree yeah so we'll see more of them today we'll we'll see more of the bats there's a there's a bat up underneath our our roof i know super cute little fuzzy guys and then all kinds of other wildlife running around iguanas and little spiders making nests.
So, yeah, good stuff. Lots of fun. All right, everyone. That is it for day two. Well, the day one recap, second recording. But yes. Yeah, it is day two. But day one recording. Sorry. That's going to be a long one. All right. Talk to you later. Oh, one last thing before you go.
