swingers that's right like what what does it take yeah from a my perspective and a soul perspective exactly but but our first section first section is what what is our first section it's what have we done lately it's always that exactly that's right exactly so i'm gonna let jr start out well yes so what's the last thing the last thing we did last month right we were at sunny rest which again we love sunny rest it was there last weekend last week in september because it gets starts getting cold have to shut the water off electricity pipes don't freeze and we're so lucky to stay with our friends oh my god m d oh my god yeah unbelievableibly.
Anyway. We get there and we get to their place. Tiki Bar. Yeah, Tiki Bar, this and that. Bukkake Palace. Yeah, so we unpacked our stuff. We got a couple of drinks. And they're in the- Bukkake. The Palace, right. I called D over. I said, hey, come on over. I talked to you for a minute. I say to M&D, hey, are you guys free May 1st through the 5th of next year, 2025? And he's like, I don't know, maybe, why? Because we want you to marry us. Yes. And where? Where are we going to do this?
Exactly, right? We're going to do it. And I was so surprised, right? The Temptations. Right. In Cancun. I was so surprised. So, like, we've been together for eight years. We've been engaged for six years. We've been talking about getting married. And we were there, and he walks up. Because you have to realize, Em officiated. Yeah, he does. The wedding for the people lead ShareNation. That's right. And we were, J.R. and I were both in their wedding. Wedding party, yeah.
And it was like the most beautiful ceremony ever. Had me crying. I can't imagine what's going to happen in May. Yeah, exactly, right? But anyway, the reason I brought it up was she had told me we're getting married last week. I did not. You did. You told me we're getting married. Okay, fine. All right. Okay, we're getting married. It was a complete surprise. And so, yeah, that's the big news. That's right. And we had a great time with them. So, everybody, you can be part of this. Right.
So on our website, lifestylelinks.com, we have a group trip to Temptations in Cancun. It's $1530, $1,530 per couple. Couple. All inclusive. Yes. Everything. Food, drinks, everything. May 1st through 5th, so we're going to check in on a Thursday. Hotel transfers from resort transfers from the airport down there. And there's like seven restaurants and six bars and a few nights. If you go to try to book like Desire or Pearl, it's like more than twice that. Right. We've got a great rate.
And we're going to do like the wedding on the beach. Because we know people. Yeah, but you don't have to come to the wedding. You can just join the trip, too. Right, just join the trip. We're going to have a ceremony there. It'll be fun. Yeah, yeah. There's no need for presents. We'll talk about it again. Yeah. Later in the program. So what's next? What do we do next? Yeah, so what do we do after Sunday rest? What are you drinking now? Yeah, we're not drinking. What are we drinking?
What are you drinking now? I'm drinking a Godfather. A Godfather. Which is, it's half bourbon and half Amaretto di Serrano on the rocks. And what am I drinking? You're drinking, what are you drinking? You're drinking a... Grand Marnier. Grand Marnier. Yeah. That's per usual. Yeah, yeah. D does this all the time. So, yeah. So So what did we do after that? We went to a private house party in Pennsylvania with our dear friends, GNC.
And the good thing, the cool thing was there was a lot of couples we didn't know. It was nice some new people missing new people yeah and people that we kind of met like one time yeah and the cool thing about that was one of the couples was a really attractive couple and she was really pretty and we'd met one time and i wasn't you know i'm not sure sometimes you're not sure of the chemistry and this and that but all of a sudden we're fucking to fucking make it out. Yeah. Like, hello? Yeah, yeah.
You got it going on. Oh, got it going on. Yeah. Yeah. Was that great? Was that good? It was really good. There were some really cool people there. So that was cool. And we went to a great sushi place. Oh, yeah. We did. Fantastic sushi place out there with a bunch of people. We got a little naughty with the waiter and stuff. We do that. We're going to talk about that later. We won't? Yeah, yeah. About converting people. Yeah. And then after that... We were down to Delaware. For my work.
Because Dee kind of works down in Delaware now, so she drives down there. Yes, he was my chauffeur. Yeah. So I said, sure, not knowing what the hell this trip was all about. It was so freaking long. I couldn't, what was it, like three and a half hours or something? Doesn't matter. You had a great time. Doesn't matter. See? You had a great time. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. But I have to look forward to a marriage. It doesn't matter. Three and a half hours, that's not far.
It doesn't matter. Right? So we stayed with our very dear friends.
Very dear friends yeah v and i v and i and the thing they have a new dog oh yeah well he loved me in any case the reason why i love the the man of this partnership this is really interesting go ahead yeah is I've probably only the man of this partnership this is really interesting go ahead is I've probably only had sex with him like I'm thinking like maybe three four times I was going to say three I was going to say the same thing but it's always an adventure so for me first of all he's not a big guy and so I love the nimbleness Thank you.
yeah so for me first of all he's not a big guy and so i love the nimbleness about him like his penis is like average size it's not small it's not big but he's got a lot of energy a lot of energy and a lot of energy and so it's so cool that when we can we connect and we get to like be together it's like this thing where you know we'll start out in one position and then because we're dear friends i can say well how about we do this and then we like we'll change to another position he's all for it and then and then we'll be like i'm like yeah yeah that's good that's good and then i'll be like here let's do this let's try this and then he'll change to another position he's so receptive and it's like it's just it's just so much fun it's like it's like i'm like riding a horse that i can like make do these different things but you have to realize it's like, I mean, it's like, I'm like riding a horse that I can like make do these different things.
But you have to realize it's like, I mean, it's like, it's almost like I use him to make myself come. It's like, you know, and he's adjustable. Meanwhile, I'm playing with the dog. The dog and the dog and I are friends. Yeah, exactly exactly but the other really cool thing about v is that he's very open-minded yeah so he has like 13 they have a they do they have an open relationship right no no she gets lucky too she lost I saw the one guy. They have like 13 unicorns. Yeah, exactly. Down there.
Yeah, right. In this area. And he'll say to me, I have sex with women that are like from 24 to 74. Right, 74. Right. He goes everywhere with it. Right? And we talked about that. I know. He's like, yeah, this woman, she's in the golf cart, and she wanted to take me around. She's like, no, I don't think so. So just take me around the golf cart. And the next thing he knows. She takes me around, and he gets to the front door, and she's like- Do you want to come in? Well, yeah. And he's like, yeah.
And one knows he'll be around. He's like, can I come in? She's like, oh, I'll just come in for a minute, and then go in for a minute, and he's like, can I have a drink? Oh, you can have a drink. And bam, boom, bam, bam, boom. And those women love him. Love him. And the other part of it is, for him, is that those women love him. So he feels so appreciated. Like he's like a god to these women, which is amazing. So we're there on the weekend. You were working. I was working.
And we were supposed to go up to my son's. Right. And I was doing something. You were out. You guys were partying. He's like, let's go meet some of my unicorns. They're bartenders. So we go out to these local bars, and we're checking out the unicorns. Oh, my God. They're sexy as hell. They're little shorts on and midriff tops, and they're serving us margaritas and stuff. It was great. And you're getting free drinks. I'm getting free drinks. Free cops and cop and cop of fuel, you know.
So then we were supposed to go all the way back, and then they're like, wait. There's a meet and greet. Well, we were going to go back, and they said there's a meet and greet tomorrow night. Right. So we should stop. Yeah, exactly. And we did. Right. And so we went to the meet and greet with them. Yeah. It was a bar, I could say. It was a bar. Yeah, it was a bar, yeah. But it was more of a packaged place. No, they had a bar next door. They did. Yeah. Actually, we met this really cool couple.
Very cool couple. Yeah. I don't have the names right now. Yeah, we're going to call it out on our website. Yeah, we will. They were super cool. Super cool. The people that put the party together were educators. Educators and podcasters. Yeah. Not podcasters. No, they teach seminars. They teach seminars. Yeah, yeah. Really cool people. And then we'll talk about something else in the next section. Well, what? Because the hottest girl in the room. Was you? No. Oh, thank you, honey.
Who was the hottest girl in the room? Okay, okay. We'll tell you the next section. In any case. Do I get points for that? Yeah, you do. You get big points for that. Oh, my gosh. Goodness. So the fun weekend, my cousin, my little cousin. We go to Long Island. We go to Long Island with a hard sheet. Way out Port Jefferson.
Way out way out it took us like through the city oh my god it's ridiculous so i grew up in long island right and in those days it was okay now we were like one o'clock on a sunday and the long island distressress Way. It was bumper to bumper. Bumper to bumper. It's crazy. Yeah. It's crazy. So we get there. We get there. Right. We valet park. Valet park. It's a ceremony. It's this beautiful place. And we're outside, and they walk down the aisle.
Oh yeah the ceremony happened and then we go into like the um happy hour happy the cocktail hour right and i see this couple i see that she's laughing i know he sees this girl he's like i know them he's like not them no no you said she looks familiar to me. Very familiar. And I'm like, J.R., man, you're frumbling on.
he's like not them no no you said her she looks familiar to me very familiar and i'm like jr man you're from lang island you were in many bands many famous it was not about that i'm like you had sex with her that's why you know her i did not i know but that's i might have that's always my initial thought i'm like yeah this is some girl that you had sex with okay right it wasn't though Thank you.

I go, have you been to New Jersey?
She goes, yeah, a few times. I go, have you come to Parsippany? And she's like, yes, say no more. So they recognized us. Yeah.
So anyone is is not privy parsippany is the place where the share nation right hotel takeovers take place which we just did that last weekend right so we're gonna get to that but but no so we go to to jr's cousin's wedding and we run into people right that have been to share nation and know us from that and my cousin like do you know them i go yeah i'm not really yeah blah and they're there with their kids right so we're trying to be very very you know it was fine it worked out nothing was revealed yeah so i'm sure people out there have had these similar situations yeah yeah and it was all cool we both we were all very cool yeah we got to stay away from each other for most of the night exactly because otherwise it would be bad news not really get together too much exactly because otherwise i might have gone crazy oh my god because he was hot he was beautiful.
She's beautiful. Yeah. It would have been bad news. So we restrained ourselves. We did restrain ourselves for once. For once. That's so funny. There was no hooking up in the coat room. Exactly. Which I've done many times in my career. Sort of career, when you put it that way. No hooking up in the coat room. Or the bridal suite. That would have been good, too. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I've been as good. Yeah, I know you have. I don been that. It's good. Yeah, I know you have. Damn.
He was in wedding bands, too. Yeah, so I was in wedding bands. Years ago. Way back. So that happens. It does happen. If you don't think it happens, hello, people. It does happen. So that is what we have done lately. That is what we have done lately, yeah. Yeah. Cool. All right. Well, you know, we're going to continue this podcast, number 19. And our next section is our main section. And we'll talk about that very soon. All right. soul of a swinger Exactly.
So I came up with about 11 qualities that folks need to have to be successful in the lifestyle. And one of the very first things that I want to mention as number one is likability right likability is so key and i've been a salesperson and a marketing person on my life and somebody knows that they like you within about 30 seconds correct and it was so funny because i said that to jr and i, women know within the first fight of talking to a man, whether they're going to fuck them or not. Exactly.
That's true. So likability is such an important quality. So we're going to dive a little bit deeper into what makes somebody likable, makes somebody approachable. Cool. So the next the next thing is that to be successful as a swinger is sociability. Like you have to be social. Absolutely. Yeah. You have to be willing to talk and want to talk and meet. Right. Because most vanilla people think that we get together for sex. We have orgies. and it's not true. We get together for social reasons.
We get together partying, dance parties, drinking, going out to dinner, for social kind of events. And if sex happens after that, let's grave you on top. Exactly. That's what leads to the sex. Exactly. Is the sociability and being social. So the next thing that I think is so key is open-mindedness. Correct. And the nonjudgmental.
And you can't be a swinger unless you're open-minded yeah crazy you have to be yeah and you can't be a swinger unless you're non-judgmental it's like this it kind of goes hand in hand with self-confidence to be successful in the lifestyle you really have to have an open mind. You have to accept lots of people and you can't be judgmental. You have to like expand your horizons. Correct. Yeah.
So the other thing that's really important that JR is going to describe to you just in a minute is you have to have a high level of emotional intelligence. Well, not that you have to, but if you do, you're probably going to exceed more in the lifestyle. It's going to help you. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So what is that? Yeah. Emotional intelligence really is the ability for both of your own emotions and to understand the emotions of people around you.
And there's really kind of five elements of that, which are self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills, what Dee just talked about, social skills.
and so the people with high ei can identify you know their own feelings and the feelings of people and the behavior of people around them yeah it's self-awareness right and awareness of everything that's going around you and then it's also the ability to control your own emotions it's like our episode the green-eyed monster to understand jealousy exactly you know and so you're mature enough like your emotional maturity is enough where you can see okay this situation isn't happening to me these things are going on now let me step back and realize who i am what am i how am i going to react to this situation identifying emotions behind people's behavior and you'll have a better understanding where they're coming from and how you can better interact with them yeah it's adjustment adjustment there's a lot of flexibility.
Exactly. That's about flexibility. A lot of flexibility that's needed. Exactly. You know, you meet people and they approach you on different levels, you know, from an intellectual level, from an emotional level, from a socioeconomic level.
And, you know, you're just trying to get to know these people and have a good time and you're adjusting yourself it's about them it's about strong interpersonality skills it's really about that yeah absolutely absolutely i would say that the concept of the most successful swingers are giving and gracious and selfless. And JR and I talk about compersion where we talk about the idea that we love our partner so much that we derive pleasure when they're happy.
And that's basically what compersion means is that we get pleasure from their pleasure. But I know jr has this beautiful story about one of our bliss cruises that we went on about the giving and the selflessness and there was this um girl who had gotten injured on the cruise oh my god yeah everyone came out to give her blood because she needed the transfusion. And they announced it as dinner.
And people went down and it was hundreds of people that came down to give blood and had to stop people because it was too much. Right. It was too many people. Yeah. It is definitely the nature. You know, it's this thing in your soul where you're giving and you're kind and you're compassionate. And I mean, that's like you exude that, you know, through life.
But as far as compersion on a personal level, I love seeing Dee having fun with sex with her feet up in the air and getting, I gotta just say it, yeah yeah and so it's like yeah that's conversion absolutely and that's giving you know it's like it's like sacrificing yourself or somebody else the other thing that's important you, as a quality to be a great swinger is to feel like you're sexy. You have to have a sex positive mindset. You got to be good with sex. You got to feel good about.
You got to feel like you're sexy. We're going to talk about this future event that we're planning. And I say to JR, I'm like, huh, who wouldn't want to be with me? Oh, that event. Okay, all right. I'm like, come on. I know where you're going with that. I'm sexy. Come on. That's going to be on our next segment. Like, for me, like, I'm self-confident. I'm like, you know, who wouldn't want to hook up with me? I know, because she's beautiful. Kind of thing, you know, which is funny.
You people are missing out if you haven't been around this. But you have to have, like, a sexy, self-positive kind of vibe. And then there's the whole thing about jealousy. Which we have a whole episode of The Green-Eyed Monsters. You should listen to that. Exactly. The whole thing about jealousy, how to overcome that in lifestyle, how to deal with it. Right. And talk through it. Exactly. And make it work for you.
The other thing that's amazingly important is constant, open, and honest communication. Absolutely. Everybody else, all the other podcasts talk about this. They do. We don't talk about it all that much. Yes, they do. We've done it a couple of times. No, you and I talk about it because it's implied. Oh, okay. All right. But we don't force it on everybody else. Force it? We're going to force it. We don't think that you have to be open and honest. I'm only forcing one thing on both other people.
Hey, don't you worry. In any case, the open and honest communication is like so critical if you don't have that. Because you know what happens is that if you don't have that, then you get drama. Drama. Well, let's talk about drama for a minute. Because there's instances, especially at hotel takeovers, we have like 600, 800 people, and there's going to be an issue, you know, this and that. It's jealousy.
Jealousy creeps in, or whatever it is, or some emotional differences that couples have between themselves that sort of permeate at that kind of event. To everybody else, yeah. Yeah, that kind of event. The other thing about being great in the lifestyle is self-compassion, because we all make mistakes. Correct. Yes. And we've got to make mistakes. Yes.
and the thing is to communicate ahead of time yes keep communicating and if those things happen kind of step back and talk about it right and even after the fact like shit happens that's what i'm talking about shit happens shit happens people make mistakes absolutely like you have to like you have to be in a relationship where you love each other, where regardless of anything that happens, you're still going to accept that person and you're going to say, okay, all right, we effed up, right?
And back up for a minute. So you've gone into this party or this hotel takeover and you've talked about it, you've communicated to each other before time, you've set your boundaries and you go in and something happens. And in the spur of the moment, maybe you step over that boundary and then things happen. But you got to take it back and analyze it. Don't have drama about it. Was it all that bad? Was that really an appropriate rule? Maybe we should adjust our expectations. So two things.
Either you say, okay, that was wrong. We shouldn't do it again. Or maybe, maybe we dropped that rule. Right. Maybe that's okay. Exactly. Redefine. Redefine the rules. Redefine. We could do that. That's fine. Exactly. Right. Yeah. Which I love, by the way. JR has no rules, trust me. I have no rules. I have a couple. Really, our only rule is knowing where each other is in a given moment. That's it. And who we're with. That's really it. Yeah. In case she needs help.
Well, it's not even who we're with, baby. Oh, yeah. Like on the cruise. Oh, yeah. On the cruise. It depends on the environment. It does. It depends with the environment. Yeah, yeah. It depends. It depends. The safety. It's more safety. Yeah. And a small house. Yeah, it's okay. Everybody. Yeah. And a house party. I'm not going to worry about it. And a big club. A little different. A little different. Yeah. On the cruise, if I don't know where you are, I could lose you for a couple of days.
I know. It's 4,000 people. And that could be scary. It's scary as shit. So, yeah. The other thing for us, or for me, is bad energy versus good energy. Let's talk about energy. Yeah. Let's talk about that. So this is big for me. Most of our friends, I would say 95% of them, have good energy. And that's why we're friends with them. They have good energy. Right. You know? I would say all of our friends have good energy.
No, but so once in a while, so we were at Ple a couple years ago and j and c introduced us to this other couple like go and meet these people and the girl the woman oh i know what you're talking about the woman at the bar we're at the bar yeah there's like six of us yeah and she starts talking like oh my god my sister did this and that and this and she's like dissing her sister she's like saying bad things about her sister and first of all why are you talking about your sister at a lifestyle club yeah number two like why you have this bad energy and and like so for me i'm like oh my god she's talking bad about her sister that way i'm like i'm like stepping away exactly like i'm like afraid of that and that's what we're talking about the whole emotional thing you see that and that has to be a red flag right i would never hook up with them reflect right like what's she gonna Right.
Here's the self-acceptance. Like, oh, my God, I give her husband a blowjob in the worst way. And then the whole world would know. And then she's going to be like, but that's scary. You don't want to be with people that are going to criticize you like that. But not even in the worst way. Not the way he wants it. You know what I'm saying? It's not even the worst way. It's maybe not the way he would want it. I know, but there's no... He's bad-mouthing you for the rest of the community.
Right, and I actually think I'm good at a blowjob, but it doesn't matter, but... People, it's pretty good. No, no, he has better.
Trust me, we have this single girlfriend that fucking rocks oh my god yes yes but we're not going to go there right now it's about it's about the energy you know and so the funny thing too is that we were at that meet and greet in delaware with v and i right and this the hottest girl that's the hottest girl are we talking about that now yeah we're talking about that now really yeah and she was like super hot super hot she befriended me she did but she really wanted. But she really wanted me.
Come on. Of course she wanted you. Yeah. Whatever. Whatever. But in any case, her vibe was so negative. Oh. Crazy negative. Her ex-husband was there. Ex-husband was there. And they're not even really divorced. And she got thrown out.
It was all this stuff this stuff so the whole the the lifestyle if you want to succeed in the lifestyle don't do that shit you need to be drama free drama free that's the point exactly it's got to be fun and exciting i was all ready to go down that road i know and he's like no we're not we're not doing it and i agree with him i know i totally agree it was so negative and i was like looking i'm like are you ready for all that but not but not only that here's how i think someone like that with this whole negative thing this ex-husband and they're fighting what kind of trouble is that gonna bring to us right right what trouble is yeah is he gonna show up exactly at our doorstep and have drama yeah yeah blah blah do i have to call the cops you know it's all that i'm not going i'm not going there it's not worth it we have enough people we're friends with that we don't We don't need that.
Exactly. We don't need that. We have so many beautiful people that are part of our lives in any case. Oh, all right. What's your last thing here? That's it. Is that it? That's it. Are you sure? We got a picture.
And the cool thing about it, it's this big mirror, and you step up, and you can see yourself, and you hit this foot switch. The button. And it takes a picture of you.
