Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

I find the feature interesting and I support it being available. I think that many users will want to know which accounts found them intriguing enough to check out. I can easily picture following up with a "Hey, you checked us out and we think you're interesting, too!" message.

I find the current implementation to be unreliable. I turned off the feature to see how I felt without it. This means that you purged the record of who had viewed my page. (That's not a complaint, just a statement of fact.) Then, I reactivated it. Since, I've seen two or three profiles pop up as having recently viewed my profile. But then, on later login, those profiles do not appear in my "Who Viewed Me" area.

Perhaps those users had disabled the feature in that time period, but it seems unlikely. I'm more suspicious that it doesn't work reliably.

the "Who Viewed Me" was working pretty good yesterday although it seemed no one looked at my profile after the initial list was put up, today they disappeared then 5 came back then 2 disappeared now I'm down to one of the ones that was on yesterday so it seems hit or miss to me now that its 5:00 pm Friday i guess I'll have to wait till Monday to see what happens next lol "an error occurred" is back with vengence now hits me when I change pages now not just when i try to sign ....

"It lets you know if people are interested in your profile"

Charmer, they are searching, not showing interest. If they were interested, an IM or email would accompanied the view.

Loving life in PA - We don't have a flirt button because all the guys and gals would "virtually" wear it out liking your pic. ;-)

If some of you all think that just because someone viewed your profile they're interested in you then your the same people that think because someone talks to you at a mng they want to play with you ..... WOW !!!

I signed out and later back in and all of my viewed me profiles are gone and I don't seem to be able to get any of them back ( I wanted to write a couple of them and now I can't ) I diddn;t write them down or save them to friends because i didn't think you would delete them all !!! any possibility of restoring the list ?

Who viewed me does not appear, it did this morning. Windows 10, Chrome Version 50.0.2661.102 m

not sure whats to "hate" about the feature? seems like the majority (not all) of the haters are in the... how do I put this mildly.. the OLD catergory... probably used to thumbing thru swinger magazines and sending hand written letters......

Hi! Just wanted to let you know that your new homepage feature "Who Viewed Me" keeps turning itself off and disabling when you log out from the site. There must be a glitch or something because I have to constantly turn it back on when I log in again. So it's basically not working. Just wanted to inform you so that you can look into it.
I am using "google chrome" on a "MacBook Pro" Apple computer with "10.7.5 operating system".

Really liked it! It lets you know if people are interested in your profile though I would recommend a wink or flirt button.

I think we should be able to delete profiles that have viewed your profile if you have know interest in them. Also we sure could use this on IM messages where we can delete the IM's we have no interest in and keep the ones we do have interest in. Now if we delete one we delete them all.

Really!! What purpose does tho feature serve? Are people really that excited..........wow look this profile viewed me........wow.

We hate this feature.

I have to say I'm on the fence about this:
1st- I'm NOT clicking on profiles like I used to to see and read their profiles and MOST thumbnails don't give you a clue if there could be an interest!
2nd- if I disable on purpose or accidentally it deletes ALL of the views and if the reason to see who viewed you helps you message them... well they're gone so no way of making contact!!

I agree with what some others have already said, it would be a much better feature if a time and date stamp was included

Would like a SORT BY DISTANCE choice would be nice to see people local sorted who viewed first more of a chance meeting someone 25 miles away then 1500 miles

It's a great feature and can be an ice breaker. While I agree people shouldn't necessarily take it as a totally open door, it's a good prompt to send up the bird. All you have to do if you're not interested is say so. It's a neat feature. On another site, it helped us make connections that otherwise would not have been made. Glad it's here.

Of course, using Safari, it's not currently showing up, but hey, it's a work in progress, right?
