Again this has absolutely nothing to do with the website.
The first time it happened I figured they just forgot to pay their domain bill.
However happening twice within 8 days.... Makes me wonder if it's malicious or if they're DNS provider is bouncing them for some reason.
They are using a program called Cold Fusion which was created 25 years ago. It's ridiculous they can't hire a company to produce an updated site. SMH.
Site was down for a number of hours today (Saturday) WTF?
Wayne, there is no justification for the recent outages and issues the site has been having. You need to complete rebuild the site with a current (more stable) language.

SLS Twitter is no great social media presence. It’s just a series of links to stories & such on the web site. But when this site goes down, I look to see if it’s me, or if it SLS.
And still no explanation (or even acknowledgment) of the outage.
It’s funny that they used twitter to convey they are having problems but god forbid us referencing any other form of communication. We should be allowed to reference another form since this one is so undependable.
Someone screwed up and deleted their DNS entries.
Either this was a mistake, they changed DNS providers and didn't do it right or someone got into their hosting account and deleted them.

I noticed issues with thumbnails on some profiles, but didn't think it was a big deal. Maybe they fixed something but not the other. I still have the thumbnail issue.
If you use it for clubs, events and friends it more than pays for itself ..as we spend more in one night out.. and yes would like to see the issues fixed.
Wished I didn't purchase lifetime membership. Only have had issues with the website since then. Friday evening, and can't get messages to load or profiles.

Can’t wait till they try to come back and claim 98% uptime with no problems.
They were just trying to help everyone limit their screen time to enhance our user experience.
I think it's a potential money laundering scheme. The outages and fixes are only a cover for generating IT work orders and paper trails.

There was a vague post on SLS Twitter asking everyone to "bear with them" as they work to get the site back up.
The errors I saw said the servers were down.
We also had a date last night, but somehow I was able to get on about an hour beforehand for about 2 minutes just to make sure we didn't miss any messages regarding the meet up.
I couldn't get on using a laptop (2 different laptops), a desktop or 2 different phones yesterday.
Patiently waiting for a "don't know what you're talking about, it must be your fault, submit a ticket" post by management.
My laptop kept showing a firewall "out bound block".. nothing changed and I was ready to shoot my computer as we had a date set up for last night !
And thats why when we set up a meet and give ones cell number out for cases such as these too.. including the "I will be late ref the bad accident excuse too" !
