What happened?

I had no problem getting on it on a laptop ... but at the same time I was logged in on the laptop, I COULDN'T get on using my phone with either Chrome or Firefoxe browsers, but could with a Puffin browser.

An explanation of why the site was down for the better part of the day yesterday would be appreciated. This would include an update on whether it was a hack and if any personal information was accessed.
