It appears it does not work with older versions of safari because it does nothing at all
So how do you find the unread message (I'm showing 1)?
I like to keep all the IM history so I can see if someone has sent a previous message. I can't see any difference that indicates where that one unread message is - do I have to open each profile's IM history and how will I know that I've found it?
And all the incoming messages have the same date/time stamp (current time of when I open the window) but my outgoing messages appear to have the correct date/time stamp. But on the main page the most recent message shows and appears to have correct date/time stamp.

And of course, the chime for incoming IMs probably doesn't work.

Oh, well, isn't that awesome. It'll be like having toddlers again, always asking for attention. I kept my IM off at all times for good reasons.

<p>It currently does not seem to work with Internet Explorer and you get a message that you need to be paid when using IE. I have reported this to the developer.</p>
<p>I've used it tonight with Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge and it is working.</p>
<p>In the top right of the page (above the IM Messages) option, you may see a red number that is indicating old IMs that have not been read. You will need to open each of those to clear them out. I'm guessing those are missed IMs from the old system that was not working well. My profile had 80.</p>

Yep, has a new look, no new features, some features no longer available like dismiss and ignore. I suppose you can do that anyway but it is now less convenient.

This so funny. Funny because first off we do this on a FRIDAY right before a weekend and as a lifestyle site probably the most busiest time of the week. The other funny thing is we went through this the last time there was a big idea to "upgrade" the IM program. And the real kicker is not only did they never get the last IM program to work right....the one they replaced, the original, was FINE, worked great.
Of course complaining yields nothing cause after all who can you take your compliant further with? Better Business Bureau? local consumer advocate?
Very frustrating.
Our IM has been shut off since like day one when we joined. On the few screens that still show the option, it remains turned off, but now we have a notification lit up that we have a "shit ton" of messages.
Opened the messages and deleted all. Message notification light still on. IM still off.

Does anyone know where the camera option is now on the chat. Can't find it anywhere.
The old IM slider to turn it off is still up on a couple of screens, the IM Log screen and the Photo Approval screen. Of course, it's disabled on both.
Option to turn it off is missing for us.
I'm having exactly the same problems. IM insists I'm not a paid member, even though I am; messages won't load, nothing connects, impossible to tell who's online. Ugh.

"New Feature" posts on Friday afternoon. Entire site goes kablooie by Friday midnight. Stays broken until Thursday, because the trouble ticket went out on a weekend.

Chat is now entirely inoperative, I’m not sure if that’s a bad thing or not...
Tried to Chat someone. Saw a "Message" link instead of the usual green IM pill shaped link. When I click on it, it went to a page that said the IM feature is for paid members only. Both us and the member I was trying to chat with are Lifetime members.
