@ItalianGinger when the app would open, I used both, since one of those issues was that the results in every section - Who Viewed Me, Newest Matches, Random Matches - were ALL different between the web site and the app.

@junie I haven’t been able to get the app to fully load for 2-3 months. It just clocks when I try to open it. When I posted a negative review of the app for it, I got a response that “network maintenance” made it unavailable when I’d tried to log in.

That’s one hell of s maintenance session, lasting months. /shrug

@RonKathy, we’ve found that if you use the new home page on the new domain swing dot com, that it generally logs in without issue. When we use the original domain we routinely get that error message.

Wayne has stated that Unlimited members will have their status ported over with no additional charges or re-buy necessary. We'll see, once the changeover is completed.

I agree Kathy, my phone app stopped working too, missed a hot date, have to use my laptop and miss messages when I am outside. Sure wish the old Craigslist was still around !!

And in a not unexpected twist, my next two screens, in order, were the macromedia error screen and the one I just mentioned.

ETA: Followed by proper operation twice and then back to the irongate error.

You know how when the site errors out and gives you three options - go back, go home, go to log in screen - it also tells you SLS has been notified? Well, according to Wayne a couple of years ago (I think we still had email) that notification doesn't happen, which better allows for the fuzzy math.

We've given up on hoping for a functional site and have resorted to simply trash-talking it. It has been at least 10 years since the site functioned fully, ranging from mostly working to completely inaccessible.

Right now you have to do EVERYTHING 2-5 times until you slog through error messages and other crap. It's been worse than average lately, but "average" is still shitty at best.

Weird, I responded to wesortalikesex question yesterday and it disappeared. That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell.

Sorta, it’s been like this for a long time. Look back through this forum and see how long the site issues have been going on. It speaks for itself. It truly is a good community but the technological issues are very present with no real timeline to fix any of it. We paid for a lifetime membership, so here we are.

Is this the "norm" for this site? We just joined for the first time ever and it's been an incredibly disappointing experience in almost every regard. The constant site errors and messaging being completely unreliable makes me furious that I spent even a dollar on this garbage. It's probably best to just cancel and dispute this charge at this point.

I have never posted in the forum before. it seems confusing to me that this site has been wonky for so long. Is it not ever going to be fixed? I dont want to keep paying monthly. Hot Date, messages and cams in chat just don't work enough anymore.
I know I was having issues posting hot dates in August. Thats a long to be broken.

I think SLS takes it to the furthest extreme to protect members. The site can't be held liable for members behavior unless the are knowingly complicit or take no action when brought to their attention. When we see scam or questionable activity we report it as I'm sure other members in good standing would.
