Wayne - I have misinterpreted that Hot Date text myself. It would be clearer if the text said something like "It can take up to 5 mins for a newly posted Hot Date to appear on the calendar".

<p>That wording means when you create a new Hot Date, it may take UP TO 5 minutes for it to be processed and show. Basically, it is only referring to new submissions and in my experience, even those are instant when the site is running well.</p>
<p>I will request that the developers remove that wording. It seems to be confusing people.</p>

It will time out before five minutes.

Now when I do the cursor hold-over on a profile, I get the normal profile Cliff's Notes, along with what appears to be a Java window with a bunch of code.
It must be my puppet's browser cache, it certainly isn't the actual site code....

It is kinda sad that when I saw the notice posted about the counter posted a few weeks ago I had two thoughts. First, it's nice that when the site has problems that they finally post an informational posting about it. Second, I thought I had no confidence that the problem would be fixed. Unfortunately, in the case of my second thought I was right, yet again.
The android app was also nonfunctional today. Another fail.

ncwv, they may be doing updates. We just started seeing the “undefined” bubble on our message counter as of a few minutes ago. Speed wise the site is pretty normal (for SLS) otherwise.

Quoting Wayne from a couple of days ago "The site has been stable for the last week. There is nothing that should be keeping you or anyone else from using the site and meeting others and contacting them. This site has multiple staff members. If there is a database issue, that is the job of the database administrator to resolve. Everyone else still does their job. So the person that works on banners, ads, graphics still does those things."
Now. Don't complain to much or "they"may lock your forum post. ;)

The site is pretty working as “normal” as it runs minus the mail counter.

Mail counter has been messed up for weeks.
People aren’t viewing messages or getting messages.
Hot dates isn’t working. Among other things.
You literally have people pay money to be on this website as a member. Fix it in a timely manner.
