Hey SLS 90% of the people on here haven’t been playing for months and 80% of those profiles state that ! Because of a virus
according to your plane English statement you better go hide all there profiles.
Not playing
Taking a break
Humm—-means the same to people with common sense but SLS go twist those statements to fit your what you think they mean.

“ I believe my 86 unopened messages were removed for the sole purpose of SLS bandwidth!”

If EA said that, he’s dumber than I thought, my reasoning for blocking his stupid ass.

For a message to sit unread, it uses no bandwidth, is uses data storage. The message itself will contains probably only a KB of information.

Maybe you should read your remaining messages instead of bitching about them.

I agree with Eroticamaker, I believe my 86 unopened messages were removed for the sole purpose of SLS bandwidth! I expect they will next remove my 134 Archived Mail all of these I keep to refer back to.

"I don't like it, but from a business point of view I understand it."

I can't tell you how many people in past we directed to SLS to buy memberships. They continued to make money off of us long after we stopped paying. We sailed on the Bliss Cruise, attended sponsored events, etc.

I can't say what SLS truly believes. But there is value in keeping lifers happy.

Windermere, FL, Us

It blows my mind that SLS is wasting its time policing tag lines that are out of date or conflict with activity in the fora when this jalopy can barely keep running for even one hour without a code barf.

Why is SLS so obsessed with micromanaging precisely how its members use the site?

Are you going to begin reading messages in conversations looking for conflicts with what's in the profile? How much harder can SLS work to suck the fun out of this place?

@sls_wayne Just curious why TF you are doing database maintenance in the middle of the day. Last I checked, the vast majority of users were based in North America. Why not do maintenance during the middle of the night (like every other US based company on the net) when the nber of users is very low?

And the issues have been more on than off. Do I need to remind you of the topic you locked not 30 days ago because of chronic issues that SLS staff kept ignoring? Then again, this comment will probably guarantee another locked post.

I was taken to task by the administrator of another site for mildly (compared to what I see here) openly criticizing their rules and programming. It was explained to me in very clear terms that Lifetime Members are at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to trying to satisfy our needs. We no longer provide any revenue. That site is aggressively buying up other sites and voiding lifetime member ships when at all possible (sometimes just for for being overly critical). Lifetime members are nothing more than click bait to get new members and hold on to monthly paying members. Once we have paid the lifetime membership fee, there is no incentive to meet our needs or even ask what we would like. Thus from an administrator perspective, if you are "on break" you are taking up space in paying members searches. We are also using bandwidth for free and being a pain in the ass in the forums. I don't like it, but from a business point of view I understand it.

“ "you won’t let us put “On a break” as a tag line."

We let you put that in your profile. Putting that in your profile is the way that you let SLS know that you want your profile marked as "Inactive" because you are "on a break", which means that you are not logging and using the website.

If you are logging in and reading the forums, you are NOT "on a break".

If you are logging in and reading your messages, you are NOT "on a break".

if you are logging in and using the chat room or chatting with friends, you are NOT "on a break".

It seems that the issue here is that many of you do not understand the meaning of English pharses, such as "on a break".”

Way to prove my point Wayne. Your idea of CS is to be a condescending asshole to anyone who questions your stupid rules.

We happen to be on a break from playing but not from chatting, messaging, reading and posting in the forums and perusing profiles.

We paid for a membership so we should be able to use those features as we wish, not have you take us offline because we don’t fit your narrow minded vision of how we are supposed to use the site. In your view, we either are full on playing or not allowed to be on the site? Please show me in your TOS where that is a rule.

When you realize that rule doesn’t exist, stop being a dick and let people take a break from playing while still using the other features of the site.

<p>Are you still having the issue? They did make some updates to the database late this afternoon that may help resolve these issues of messages not showing. Right now, when I login to your profile and test it, everything is showing.</p>

Our interpretation of "taking a break" means not getting together with other couples/singles for the purpose of having sex with them. We think it's perfectly plausible to "take a break" and use the SLS web site at the same time.

If a Lifetime Member (or any paid member) has an active subscription, I would think they would be pretty angry at having the services they paid for be removed without their consent simply because they have decided to temporarily not meet and have sex with others through this web site.

“ All the people posting in these forums don't even make up 1% of our member base, so don't make the mistake of thinking what is posted in these forums represents the majority.”

When market research companies pay, yes PAY people to participate in focus groups, they certainly 'don't even make up 1%' of customers or potential customers.. But trust me opinions of those in focus groups are valued. In NYC you could get $200.00+ and a meal to participate in a one hour focus group depending on time of focus group.

We had the same issue regarding messages over the past 24 hours. Yesterday at this time there were 49 and today the little red dot says 42.

We have pulled back to a free membership for the time being, will sign back up when the world is a friendlier place to get naked. Hence, we are currently unable to access our messages at this time.

Using the same computer, platform and location as we have always used. Nothing has changed on our end.

@sls_WayneC Maybe you didn’t realize my question is directed at you because I didn’t mention your screen name, my apologies. Please help me, and the others who post here, with an answer.

I’ve been here for close to 3 years, never have I seen a poll on presumptive changes. Never have I had anybody from SLS ask “what do you think?” Please tell me how you gather the opinions of the over 99%.

Sls Wayne - If SLS staff is actually listening then riddle me answers to the following 2 questions

-Why did it take me over 3 attempts to login to the site today, specifically between 230 and 240 PM CT?

-Once logged in, it took me another 10 minutes to get to this message thread and reply (which will probably give me an error like it has the last few weeks)

If you really listen to the subscribers and paying members like us, you would have fixed these issues that have plagued the site for years.

I'm waiting and listening.....

"Criticizing someone's understanding of english based on a 3 word statement is making a pretty bold assumption about several things."

Agreed. Questioning people's comprehension usually only happens in the political forums.

Truckee, CA, Us

Is it just me or does anyone else think that "On a break" might just mean that they aren't meeting up or playing right now? Criticizing someone's understanding of english based on a 3 word statement is making a pretty bold assumption about several things.
