Feedback for beta.swing.com

We can't see who is going to the clubs? Also it would be nice to see the clubs in my state without going through the whole USA

<p> </p>
Understand, but wouldn't it be logical to create a new swing site that's an updated version of SLS but without the bugs (I understand that nothing will ever be bug free, but at least without major bugs). Once you have a bug free, operational & tested version, at that point start adding new features and improvments? At least that's what we did when creating updated versions of existing programs (this was before I retired)

The clubs feature doesn't work on swing website, and sls redirects to the empty page. Page loads, but there is no actual content other than empty boxes

Not sure if someone else suggested this or not since I did not scroll though all the pages, but how about a "like" or "interested" ability for a profile to include the ability to create a template message of introduction?
Thanks,
<p>We have the concept of a link already noted and are considering it.</p>

<p>The site used to have template messages that you could create and send. Does it not have that feature anymore? We are also working on integrating AI to assist with message spelling, punctuation and content.</p>
The old site had several levels of interest, favorites, friends, and notes. That is too many and it gets confusing to organize especially when you can't search well on them.
I like notes, and favorites. We just need maybe two levels of being able to add a member to some type of list

Thank you for updating SLS! I really don't use the platform much because of its old functionality, but I'm so excited that it is being brought into this century! :)

Location. If you need to change your location, in the edit profile "Location" box, it does allow you to change it but it would be nice for it to display the location your profile is currently set to. We're digital nomads, so we change our location frequently.
<p>This is a great idea. My thought would be to have a member click on the profile icon on the top right of swing.com and in the drop-down list see a new item that shows "where your profile is set to" with the ability to click it and change your location either for the current session or until it's changed again.</p>
I'm having even more trouble with the cam/audio settings. It repeatedly ignores my new settings and "defaults" back to a different cam an microphone. If I open the Preferences to verify the settings, closing the settings box again often clobbers the settings.
Would be great to have the ability to filter or sort messages by unread.
Please YES!! +1 +1 +1 Please let us filter to only display UNREAD messages
What is the point of a free profile on here? Paid members should be able to contact free members and those free members should be able to respond. Otherwise eliminate the free profile option.
Free members aren't for the benefit of paying members, they're how a site attempts to hook someone into becoming a paid member. Kinda like dangling a carrot

You have to remember these sites exist to make money, their goal isn't to make those that pay happy, once they get someone to pay they're happy

The new site crashes my display driver. I can't use it

This version sucks, can't find anything in the clubs section. Please go back to the old version

Epic Fail, trying to build a better mousetrap

I also agree, likes would be a great feature. I'd also toss in these related features:

 • Other like emojis
 • Comments on pics too (which can be approved/denied/removed by the owner of the pics
How about a like button, and video feature.
I agree with adding a like feature. It would help cut down on unwanted messages and awkward "not interested" replies.

How about a like button, and video feature.

Can't create home screen shortcut. The option is available like most sites, but the action is not completed and no shortcut is shown on any screen
What about "tags" or some way to add an interest field to our profiles. Start typing and they come up to be selected and if they're not there, the user can add a new one. It would create a pretty solid way to search interests which would create better matches.

For pruning, have the system delete tags that were created but not used, by "x" amount of people in "x" amount of time, this would clean up spelling errors or one off tags continually to keep it neat.
I just noticed you're planning extended profile descriptions, add a section of non lifestyle activities for things like sewing or matchstick collecting, that's what I was suggesting...LOL

Why can’t we have real location for near by or at least zip code matches? I literally just arrived in SLC and wanted to see what would show up in my searches and it’s still shows profiles from CA.

That soft block idea has merit. Implementation might take a bit though.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but on the original SLS, you can see what a profile is looking for (Preference wise) without viewing their profile, and also search for only people looking for your type (M, F, Couple) but that seems to be absent in this version of the beta, especially on mobile.

While not as much of a problem on our couples profile, single men (and women) it helps to be able to search for people who are interested in them, and would cut down on the notification spam and "who's viewed me" spam that many people get from people casually viewing their profiles that they would never match with or connect with.

Blindly viewing profiles can get exhausting, and lends towards doomscrolling that many people would rather spend that time actually connecting with others.

Thank you for working at modernizing your platform more!
<p>If you view in list mode all of that information is there an icon at the bottom of the card. We are still massaging the icons and will potentially try them on the other views</p>
How about making it mandatory that if you view a profile continually that you have to message or you will be blocked? How many views we get from the same people and when we message they don’t reply? Like wtf? If you’re interested stop stalking and start talking? Made us close off our public pics because it was annoying.
We've had similar experiences. In our case, obsessive views over longer periods of time. I'm talking scenarios where we get the same viewer week after week IN BETWEEN normal views of others (to Wayne's point regarding not counting multiple views in a specific window of time). In two cases, it got to the point that we could set our watches to it.

Don't get us wrong, we're always flattered when anyone takes a few peeks here and there. But when it becomes excessive it feels creepy, like we're being stalked. While we hate to block anyone without good cause, sometimes that has been the only way to get it to stop.

Now, all that said... I don't think it's realistic to rely on any automatic, built in policy, to enforce some sort of control in this case. (If I understand what Classycpl72 is suggesting). This should be a judgement call left to the user. (At least, not unless it becomes so obsessive that it merits being reported.) However, I do think they are onto a good idea. One potential option could be to GIVE THE USER the ability to do what Classycpl72 suggested. Perhaps a button that creates a "soft block." The creepy views stop showing up on the feed and the creepy viewer is presented with a message like,

"This user has chosen to restrict further viewing. However, you can still message them if you like. Why not say hello?"

If they respond, then the soft block can be lifted if desired. Otherwise, the restriction remains in place.

I've seen comments about a like button and notes which I agree with. It would also be nice if there was a way to check a box or something on an entry you were not interested in but did not necessarily need to block. Just a thought.

I believe it is something like a week has to go by before it counts it as another view. I can contact you privately so we can try to figure out what you are seeing.</p>
