Wouldn't it be easy to take the banner down since no new features are in the pipeline?

Seems pointless to advertise something that's not ever going to materialize.

I can’t imagine being a single female and trying to use this site at all. I already get plenty of junk mail as a bi guy.

We thought it might give people a reason to use the site when they were no longer meeting people in person. Those features were never as popular as we thought they might be, so we are not focusing on them right now.</span></p>

<p>Just because a whole bunch of people want something, doesn't always mean that it is the best thing to do. The same people complaining about getting unwanted Friend requests will probably also complain about getting unwanted Winks.</p>

<p>The site does not sort unread messages first. You could have an unread message that is 4 pages deep. People were constantly requesting that we show all the unread messages first, so we finally updated the site to do that. After we did that, we got WAY MORE complaints from people that had been intentionally skipping messages and not reading them. Some of these people had over 1000 unread messages (mostly single females) and it was taking them several minutes to go through all the pages of unread messages that they did not want to read to get to the messages that they did want to read. So we had to undo that update.</p>

It says... "The new SLS Friends ability will be heavily utilized in some soon to come new features."

Are we still expecting any new features to heavily utilize our friend list?

It's been quite a while that banner has been up.

Sounds like a Wink feature needs to be added. Kind of like when my college built a new complex, and they didn’t put any sidewalks in. They waited until the students had walked paths around and across the courtyard, and then put sidewalks along those paths. When your users show you how they want the site to work, listen.

<p>The Friends feature was created around the time of the Wall Feature. The Friends feature does not give anyone any extra access to your pictures or any other content, other than it will let them see your private posts on the Wall. Other than that, it is just a short-cut that you can use to keep track of profiles and it is two sided. You can also use the Favorites feature, which is one-sided (no notification is sent to the other member when you add them as a favorite). </p>

I think the Friends feature and the Wall feature were developed to work together - but I don't know of anyone using the Wall. Supposedly there are to be additional features that utilize Friends but haven't seen any official notice of these new features, not even a hint.

Welcome so for "us" we only accept friend request from those we have IM with, played with, introduced from others etc etc.. this way we can control who sees our photos and who is in our inner circle on SLS.

Many so-called picture voyeur's and wanna bee swingers.. but some on SLS like to collect CERTS and FRIENDS so they can have many.

Yes we are select who we allow in our inner circle and who we allow to see our XXX photos. Once again welcome and have fun swinging ... we have well over 30 years before we were even on SLS

Nothing really.

We're new to the site. We got and accepted a friend request. It doesn't seem to have changed anything. Still the same level of photo access. What exactly does being "friends" do for you?
