Probably stating the obvious, but the whole purpose of free members is to benefit SLS and not existing members. Though the two things should go hand in hand from a common sense standpoint, so much of what has already been done doesn't make a lot of sense to most of us.
On a few rare occasions we have found some of them using the same social media handle as their screen name here. The majority of real ones have shuffled on to other more sensibly governed sites. Through SLS's mighty and solid strategy they caused one site's membership to double within a month as rats scurried from the ship. Hopefully, they will listen to their users and get someone who knows what their doing to actually fix things before they Myspace themselves out of existence.

Essentially, free members are there to pad the numbers - 8769 new members this week! - and in return, they can find out about events and/or pretend they're swingers. They're not here for us. If they were, they'd pay a membership fee.
So, however reasonable your argument, it's also missing a few steps.
