As a single guy myself, I don't know why you would be concerned if he was in the lifestyle or not. If you scare him off then he is not some one worth knowing anyway. All he has to do is politely say no, I'm not into that.
Just bring up the subject of threesomes or you watching him fuck her ,or whatever it is you two are after ,and ask if he knows if people really do that and has he ever tried it.
If he produces a crucifix and demands the demon leave your body, then you know not to pursue the issue.
So he is obviously single if you are interested. So why not start talking to him about his love life or lack of and what he is doing to fulfill his needs. Maybe he is gay! That can usually open up a discussion about sex play
The husband needs to get with the guy and tell him that his wife thinks he is hot and she would like to get with him if he would.
Why not invite him over for a drink and in the conversation bring it up.
