A little flying bird from a SM contains one word: "Classy" Ok, fine. It lacks panache and, actually, punctuation but I clicked through to the profile because, you know, I like surprises. The text of the entire profile talks about how this fellow is looking for a SF to settle down with. He's not interested in couples but loves to date SFs in the lifestyle.

Dood- I already settled down. What were you hoping to accomplish with that e-mail?

Danville, PA

Maybe it's been a really long time since they updated their age.

Maybe their combined years? Just playing "devil' s advocate".

I just saw a feature couple who are 35 and 38 years old, who say they have been in the lifestyle for 25 years.

.......

Some people get such things, some do not. Who knows why. Sometimes the answer is obvious, sometimes it's not. I'm just glad I have my lovely wife - to be single would be a nightmare.

I've left restaurants with waiter's numbers before. Usually though because I ask for them, I'm always pleasantly surprised when they hand them over even when I'm with my man.

Slipped a number...

Reminds me of a party in college. A girl who had been in one of my classes showed up at a party of close friends- with her fiance. She kind of left him standing for a long time, as we talked and eventually danced. As they were leaving, holding hands I should add, using her free hand, she slipped a piece of paper with her number in my pocket. I never did call her because she was engaged.

One of those regrets of life...

Damn was she hot.

Windermere, FL, Us

Jesus... I'm nearly 40 and a waitress has never slipped me their phone number in my life. WTF!

I can relate to the maternal paranoia. My oldesr boy is blonde and blue eyed and had that charisma that was unmistakable even when he was tiny. Living in a bordertown and 99 plus per cent of the folk down here being Mexican made me very fearful he would get snatched out of my arms.

Fair Oaks, TX, Us

Has anyone ever gotten the error message that they are using flagged words and couldn't figure out WTF?!?

Geeze! Trying to respond and getting increasingly more frustrated!

I understand. I hope they "resisted" when arrested and needed several kicks to the head, back and groin before they were taken to jail.

And no stopping at a hospital to treat the ruptured nut sacks, spleens, and broken bones on the way.

Windermere, FL, Us

I know what you mean. Sorry. This particular story grinds my gears so badly it's ridiculous. I don't understand how people can behave this way.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic about the punk shooters.

I understand the misjudging age thing- especially when a gun is pointed at you. Been there, done that.

Windermere, FL, Us

The ability to assess age is probably not very good among people watching their baby get shot in the face.

Didn't she say she thought the shooter was between 13 and 15, and the other kid was a few years younger?

sigh They grow up so fast these days.

Two Georgia teens, 17 and 14, were arrested Friday in connection with the death of West’s son, The Associated Press reported. They have not been identified and it’s not clear if police have any eyewitnesses, CNN added.

C'mon Al Sharpton. Get all over this one.

WTF

I just noticed that KnB's eye looks almost exactly like mine.

Well, I suppose anything is possible, but she would have had to do this in broad daylight in the middle of a street, and she was shot herself. Forensics (I think?) should be able to determine if it's a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and she would have had to have been able to somehow fire 2 rounds and ditch the weapon somewhere, with a shot leg, before someone came to see what the noise was.

Seems unlikely, but I'm sure we'll find out. Al Sharpton should be able to tell us what's really going on.

It also seems unlikely that kids that age would be walking around on the street at 9 am on a Thursday...

Fair Oaks, TX, Us

Last I saw on the news, there were ' rumors' the police were following up on, as though there might be more to the story. A baby is still dead of a gunshot wound is the bottomline to me

VAB- WTF has happened to the youth in this country? Let me guess.......It's the guns fault. sigh

I'd go on a BIG rant, but ya'll would kick me back to the political threads.

Just last night, a lady here in Texas decided to burn down her house.

She was cleaning up outside when she came upon a snake, so she decided to kill it with gasoline and a trusty match. The snake being the ever so thoughtful creature he was, headed for the brushpile next to the house.

You guessed it, house is a smoldering wood pile this morning.

I bet the snake survived!

OK this is a WTF but not a funny one... this one absolutely infuriates me. I am so upset when I read things like this. How can people be like this? The "young men" were between 10 and 15! The idea that a low-end teenager would shoot a baby in a stroller in the head is so out of my universe that I... I don't know...
----------------
Police are searching for suspects in Brunswick, Ga., after a young man opened fire on an infant being pushed by his mother in the stroller, killing the 13-month-old boy.

WJXT reports the mother, who was the only witness to the shooting, said she was confronted by two boys Thursday morning. She described the shooter as a black male between the ages of 13 and 15. Police said he was with a second boy who was a couple of years younger.

"He said 'I'm going to kill you if you don't give me money,' and I said, 'I swear I don't have any,'" the mother, Sherry West, said in a tearful interview with WAWS-TV of Jacksonville.

She said she tried to protect her baby, Antonio, but shots rang out. "I put my arms over my baby and he shoves me and then he shot my baby right in the head," West told WAWS-TV.

Well, here's some speeding up... a quick montage of silly news stories...

Federal employees' job security is so great that workers in many agencies are more likely to die of natural causes than get laid off or fired, a USA TODAY analysis finds.

The federal government fired 0.55% of its workers in the budget year that ended Sept. 30 -- 11,668 employees in its 2.1 million workforce. Research shows that the private sector fires about 3% of workers annually for poor performance, says John Palguta, former research chief at the federal Merit Systems Protection Board, which handles federal firing disputes.

Death -- rather than poor performance, misconduct or layoffs -- is the primary threat to job security at the Environmental Protection Agency, the Small Business Administration, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Office of Management and Budget and a dozen other federal operations.
