About to make homemade chicken soup wearing only my drawstring shorts and no top!

Still dressed in Eeyore comfort jammies at 10:30 AM.

SP: Blueberry Yogurt....

SP: Mom's vegetable soup w/freshly baked cornbread. Perfect lunch on this cool Autumn day!

Woke up in a great mood. Made groceries this morning, great music on in Whole Foods, danced with the employees.

Stopped by a friend's house to pick something up and ended up staying for coffee and a great visit/chat.

Weather warmed up a bit so now my mood is even better (I hate the cold). Had coffee/breakfast by my backyard pond.

Now my day unexpectedly cleared. I no longer have any place to be or anyone to pick up and I have the house to myself for most of the day so I get to spend the day in my studio with the doors and windows open, painting, dancing, listening to music and enjoying life.

We've been BOMBARDED with them lately. OMG.....

I am glad we're disconnected this number so the calls will stop.

SP: hanging up on a fundraising caller after clearly and politely saying I will not be donating this year.

Sitting on the porch on a gorgeous autumn day (like today) listening to the chimes as they catch the breeze.

Can't get the iPad to reboot, but I can pour myself a glass (Mardi Gras plastic cup) of red wine and take the dog for a walk. Simple pleasures for simple minds.

SP: While I was working at my desk, my daughter snuck up on me and started playing with my hair. When I asked who was there she started to giggle. That's about as simple as it gets.

SP = sitting outside in the garden listening to live music IN OCT.

I loved the jam sessions. Perfection.

While our trip this past weekend was wild and wicked and busy and noisy and crowed and silly and sexy and fun, some of the best, most memorable moments include the simple pleasure of sitting on a balcony, a bit away from the crowds, and listening to two of the guys we were with playing guitar and singing, and then harmonizing along, my eyes closed, head back, just enjoying the music, the night, and the friends, old and new.

Awakening by my honeys side to a new day with a clear mind and solid focus knowing together we can face what the future holds. Oh and of course Little Bits between us LOL.

Airboat ride through the swamps of Louisiana. Where a pair of magnificent American bald Eagles accompanied us. We fed a female alligator, watched beautiful birds feed. Picked water lilies and laughed a whole bunch. I wish that I could just stop the clock.

SP = Running into the past president of my alma mater while grabbing an afternoon manicure. A rare conversation and treat. Only 26% of U.S. college presidents are women - proud to say I've known two of these wonderful women.

I just love this type of news, fun for, and VA, and others who have fought cancer, or have loved ones who have. Celebrate your life.

While most of us take precautions, I think anyone who has had that kind of news and then the fight that goes with it has a changed outlook on how to live life to the fullest, disregard the petty and negative, and embrace the good.
