Pet Peeves

Henderson, NV, Us

I have a few pet peeves....first, when you read their profile and it reads, “new to this.” But yet they have been on SLS since 2009. I don’t think ten years in the LS makes you “new.”

Secondly and along the same lines, they show pics where they are clearly HWP but their profile says she is 4’11” and 190 lbs. either the pics are from 2009 or they meant to put 5’11”. Either way it’s a little awkward to ask which is correct.

Lastly, SLS doesn’t automatically update our ages... so when someone list their age as “45” And they have been a member since 2009, are they “55” now? Or where they one of the few who actually updated their profile? It’s hard to tell with pics.... we are always guessing if the couple is a very hot looking senior couple or just never updated their pics from when they were in their early 40’s.

Yes, I realized that the topics are in alphabetical order so it would have to be 0pen forums instead of Open forums ;-)

posts are long

too hard to read

TOO, long dissertations on blogs. Posts are too long to read. SLS should limit to 25 words or less. GET TO THE POINT.

So how does the photo app work for mobile devices doesn't that allow all G rated pics to be accessed regardless of gallery? I confess after the first couple of days I stopped following the thread and removed any G rated pics I had.

Thanks Mayhem - In the public folder we have nothing that shows our face for that exact reason. We recognize the cost of entry is pretty damn low and anyone with a spare $45 bucks gets a shit load of access. We keep all the non blurred face pictures in the gallery that gives us the access control. Could the pimply face kid down the street figure out it's us behind the blurs in the Public Gallery? Yep but that is why the zip code we actually live in is not the zip code that SLS thinks we live in. So far the strategy is working. We can go to a swingers meet and greet and people will still ask us in person, are you PHXFUNX2?

Whew......it's a lot of work to have sex with strangers and still stay hidden from the pimply face neighbor kid and the PTA :)

@Phx - FWIW, free members can view public photos that are not rated as "nude". So if you had g-rated face pics and the neighbors kids lied to create a free member account and came across your profile with face pics, they have little to lose by blabbing to everyone what they found. This would be a rare scenario, but the gain from having public face pics doesn't feel worth the risk to us.

Kind of more of a wish list suggestion than a peeve, but it would be nice if the Open Forum topic could appear first in the forum. There seem to be a lot of new general topics added to the 3-some thread that have nothing to do with 3-somes, and the only reason I can think of is because it's the first one in the list.

Of course, I have been known to stray off-topic as much or more as the next person, so not meant as a dig towards anyone ;-)

Mayhem - we approach it the same way. We have a ton of pictures of both of us in the Public category but our faces blurred. We generally post the exact same pictures un-blurred in the Private Category. We never post un-blurred in the Public category because the price of entry is way to low. Anyone with $50 can enter and perv profiles. Cheap for the thrills it brings but highly expensive for the potential public exposure fall out for us.

The ghosting (that's a good term)? As we said it reached the level of a pet peeve with a few recent occurrences. We've enjoyed this little hobby long enough to know motivation is generally what someone else brings to the table. We've never subscribed to the no response is a response excuse. We are adult enough to hear someone tell us no and we adult enough to tell someone no if we don't see or read a 4-way match.

Life goes on..............thankfully :)

Though I suppose it could happen that seeing face pics could be a deal breaker, I suspect that in the vast majority of cases that it wasn't the reason for ghosting.

For us, a g-rated pic is ample to see if there is interest. We do not however publicly post face pics. We don't mind providing them if/when there is interest in meeting.

We have not (yet) come across someone where a face pic turned a Yes to a No for us. Albeit rare, we have come across cases where a public face pic has caused problems.

We believe in posting full face photos up front. We do not want to deceive anyone as we feel neck on down is very deceptive. Why would anyone want to do that. We also do not need to post nudes or scantly clad. We feel that a nice looking dress or sport coat is far better. There is no reason to display skin just so some pervert can get their jollies. " If you want to see us nude then play with us!" This is only our opinion lets hear yours .....

8INCH----->They saw your faces and political posts and came to their senses. Told you that your posts would later bite you in the butt.

LOL no one has ever associated critical thinking as your best friend have they. Our posting history regardless of topic is available for anyone to see. So in critical thinking they would have seen our the full history of posts BEFORE they wrote. Are you still mad because I won't click on your profile for the express reason so you can block us? As I've always said, yes publicly, blocking is an adolescent way to avoid people. I think I'm up to the 1,000 time stating this; 8INCH if you prefer not to converse like an adult, just pass us by, stop following us from category to category and whining. But there's those critical thinking skills again.

Phxfun,

We feel your pain. Same thing happens here. We can only assume that they either decided there wasn't a 4 way attraction, got busy with something else in their lives, or it wasn't really a couple who reached out.

We find often the guy reaches out without checking with his SO. He gets a response then brings the profile to her and she decides it's not a match.

We've chalked it up to being part of the experience. Not a great part, but a part to be endured.

Our reoccurring pet peeve seems to crop up sadly on a semi regular basis.

Situation - Couple write us FIRST. They say we look interesting, sexy, fun etc etc and they would like to meet us. I'm sure we are no different than 100% of the swinging population, we have many things going on in our lives. However, within 24 to 48-hours we write back, open our face picture gallery and give them multiple dates when we will be available. What happens next? P O O F never to be heard from again.

Sure, the only variable that changed is they saw our faces. Did some decide that we were no longer compatible based on face pictures? Sure, that's bound to happen. LOL maybe it's our fragile swinging ego's but with the number of regular pictures and a pretty deep profile write up, that can't be the only reason people go POOF. That doesn't make it less of a pet peeve though. If just furthers our belief that swingers have a hard time saying yes to the same degree as saying no.

OK pet peeve rant over. Back to the lack of a functioning email system..............and welcome to the first day of July!! :)

The family wishing to stay together wasn't the point IMO. The rudeness was in the fact that rather staying back and waiting for their family while others went ahead they blocked the other passengers allowing the rest of the family in front of them.

Actually, I don’t see that your situation is the same at all. Of course a family will want to be together and you don’t separate them.

We can relate as we had the same thing happen to us on a long bus trip. This family of like a dozen turds sat in front of and occupied two sides of the bus. When we got to a restaurant the bitch mom let her parents, husband and anyone else that was with their group cut in front of her. This put us like ten people behind them. People were irate but would not say anything. I being a retired corrections officer and having dealt with that in my prison, fronted her out. She said well I wanted my family to be with me, I stated they would be if they would just wait their turn. She said," well then get in front us if you like". I stated I have better manners than that, and wearing my corrections cap, I told her out loud that my inmates behave better than that. After telling the tour guide what happened they were given the opportunity to all sit on the same side, causing other passengers to give up their seats so their family could sit together. The whole bus was happy when they all got off as a group. Cudos to you for saying and doing something about this... RUDE PEOPLE need to be put in their place !!!
