Long term SLS members, ZERO certs

For us certs are absolutely critical for single guys. Recent certs.

They tell us the guy is real, able to meet and reduce the risk he's a cheater.

We also prefer to meet couples with recent certs. Way too often we see couples profiles with no certs or certs that are from years ago. We've never had luck actually meeting one of those couples in real life.

We even run regular meet and greet events and have had lots of the no cert/old cert couples sign up to attend. None has ever actually shown up.

But if course YMMV

As was previously mentioned, Certs are important to single males. A lack of them would be a red flag.

I rely on certs and would be really wary about meeting anyone without at least one from playmates. If nothing else, it's reassurance that someone made it out alive. It doesn't tell me anything about whether we'd be attracted to each other or have any fun at all, but it's basic information.

If someone's been around for a few years and doesn't have any, I'll pass for that reason alone. But that just makes it Reason #109 why I say no.

We dont give or accept certs in principal, no one else' business whom we have hooked up with. As others have mentioned, when we have read certs, its mainly from meet and greets, etc. which dont give us much of a clue as to their actual interest for us as playmates.

Guess, in some ways, it tells us that they are in fact real people, a couple, but that still doesnt mean we are right for each other or would have any chemistry.

Ive always looked at certs like resumes, some truth and a lot of mis-direction or exageration.

Del, it definitely helps your situation being at the bottom of the LS barrel. Sm's really have to do everything well in order to stand out from the herd. Just be sure that the certs you get are 90-100% people that you have played with. You don't want to only have them from the party host or people that you only met for drinks.

Do certs matter more if its a single guy's profile? Asking for a friend, of course ;-)

I always enjoy the varied opinions on this topic. I am with RonKathy. When I see someone post a full-on description, I will place a smidgen of value on certs. You know, tell me they were late, argued with each other at dinner, & then wanted to chat politics. Before we left for play, did they haggle over who had what on the restaurant bill, and then how little & did they tip. After that, were they a great fuck?!?

We almost never look at certs, and when we do, we don’t assume they are completely accurate.

A lack of pictures is a much bigger red flag for us.

At least some are that way. They either don't want to leave a trail of breadcrumbs or simply don't use the feature.

We went more than 5 years before accepting one, and even then we really didn't want to.

Some people simply go to clubs and hook up with strangers, and never actually meet anyone directly through the site. They only use the site to find events and parties. Probably 90% of the people we have hooked up with, I have no idea if they are even on SLS.

Many members do not want certs for privacy reasons....

Good evening all! Quick question....Do any of ya'll automatically discount members as "fakes" if they've been on the site for years (we've seen 10++ years) and have no certs? It appears that's becoming the norm? :/
