Wow! That was a pretty high guy to woman ratio. Most parties anywhere close to that by us would get labeled as a sausage-fest and die before they got off the ground, unless it was specifically listed as a gangbang.
We sometimes get close to 3 to 1 at a particular party by us that's hosted by a Bi guy and straight woman. In that case though it's a given that some guys are there to play with other guys.
This certainly isn't cast in stone, but the gangbang parties by us generally have a very limited number of women (i.e. 1 to 3). I think part of that is so as not to attract too much attention because we usually see them as hotel room parties.
If you attend a party that includes single men, you'll have your pick of extra guys. My wife and I went to a party years ago organized by a SLS member, and there were probably five guys for every woman. Not sure about your area but where we are there are some groups for this. We found a group that set up gangbangs for couples or single girls. They all know each other and will supply what you want. From 2 guys up to however many you request. You can tell them the ages and also specify if you want well hung guys. We have used them a few times and it worked out great for us.

MP_50 - The other thing not mentioned yet is the stamina of the guys involved. There are guys that can last well over an hour and do multiple rounds. While not your average guy and probably hard to feret that info out in advance, just keep in mind that 2 or 3 guys like this can feel like a dozen or so typical guys.
Younger doesn't always equate to this. In fact, you're probably more apt to see this in older (50+) guys. In our experience, the younger guys tend to pop sooner and not all of them have good recovery.

As far as the actual logistics:
MP, in addition to what you have heard definitely try going to a club and hotel parties that are single male friendly. Most clubs will have one night for them and those typically are lower traffic nights. This is good because it will be more relaxed. The big thing is to take your time and vet whomever you invite. As HL has said, many singles don't like group play and cannot perform well with a lot of people around. If you have a couple regulars start with them. The hotdate feature, if it is working, is a good place to find out who is interested in your area. Just post that you are looking for a couple men etc... Post it about 3 weeks before you plan on the play date and be sure to video chat with them in your filtering process. We use this when traveling sometimes. Typically, if 6 say that they are going to show up we will get 2 of them. The club or party is the simpler route and eliminates some frustration with filtering. Or just use the hotdate to post which club or party you will be going to. Keep in mind that some sm's won't go to a club if they have had a bad experience at one before.
