We we are your hosts northern guy and southern girl and today we have another rendition of our tuesday toss talking tuesday yeah the northern guy and the southern man how did that guy oh that was this that was the one we just listened to yeah he asked us to ai it uh so we did have one more jingle that somebody called in but he didn't want me to put his words on yeah and he wanted me to edit it and put ai on it yeah he did was trying to cut it and put it in there and i was like yeah we just cut it like all right so i'm gonna figure out if i can figure out how to do that like if they say don't use it and then you use it and they're not going to trust you you're right all right so i'm going to figure out how to use ai yeah because i'm not sure i know how to i know there's apps and stuff it's not gonna be that hard i actually talk about doing it and then figuring it out later unless he's like well what if you can't figure it out i was like yeah we probably should wait on yeah well just next week we just needed to get this recorded but we need some more jingles we do we need some more we got a few good ones that last one was good too yeah Okay.
But we do have a Tuesday talk question. We do. Are you ready for this week's question? Hey, guys. This is Barb. And JC. We're from the Sticks of Ohio. And our question is, are we doing something wrong? On all of these swinger sites, we've talked to couples, and everything seems to be going great. And then the second that we ask for more pictures or a vanilla meet and greet, it's just crickets. We feel like no one is real or serious about meeting up. Is there any advice that you could give us? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much. So they're from the sticks of Ohio.
That is your problem and they think everybody's fake yeah well i don't think they think everyone's fake i just think they're having a hard time finding people and to be honest with you you're not alone um like we we live like i live in a small town in a big town if that makes sense like it's correct yeah so like even here if we set our profile to here we would have a hard time like making connections and meeting up with people because a lot of people on the websites okay well let me back up are they using a paid website or free because i think that can make a difference i definitely feel like on free accounts you're gonna get people that are not interested because you know they're horny late at night and they're making a profile and seeing who they can chat with but i do still feel like you get that on paid ones i do yes yeah so two problems here so there's a couple issues so if you are from a rural area you are going to have a harder time connecting with people because let's be honest dating in life and dating in general is a numbers game so if you're in a more populated area you have a bigger pool of people to pull from more likely to find somebody you're going to connect with and have a good experience with um the less people around you the smaller your pull the harder time you're going to have so that 100 is absolutely true i think it's true in vanilla dating and it's also true even more exaggerated in lifestyle dating um but then to lacy's point it sounds like their biggest complaint is hey we've we've connected with couples we've met couples we're like this couple seems cool they seem awesome um and then they ask for some pictures or they ask to meet up and they kind of ghost them um so i just think that's an online thing that is an online dating thing i think universally if anybody's been on tinder or any of these other websites they've probably had other experiences like that and the same thing applies to these um lifestyle websites is there are people on there that are fake or flakes or a combination of the two um now there are some things you can do to prevent that so what i would encourage you is one to do what lacy just said so if you're going to get on sls sdc cassidy's going to join us on swing society.net get on there make yourself a paid account if you interact with other paid accounts you have a better chance of that being a real person because they're paying a monthly service they've subscribed to it they're invested in the community at that point they're invested in making connections and you can even see who has like a lifetime membership on a lot of the sites so that could even help even further if you are really struggling with it right and then you can see it um i know most of these websites will show how long the person has been on the website sometimes um most of these websites give some kind of verification or certification where other couples who have met that couple can leave a little almost like Yelp review and say we met dan and lacy they were amazing i love dan's big dick and lacy's southern accent and they can kind of put a little note on there and then you can be like oh dan and lacy seem cool dan has a big dick let me message them that's what i want to go back and read our search i don't know if anybody's ever said that but i don't know we We should go back and do that.
Now, when I was single, I probably did have some of the search like that. We can find your single profile. It's still out there. I don't even remember what it was like. It is because anytime I get mad at you. What was my username? Northern guy. No. Sir John. Yeah, that sounds right. I have to do some research. Y'all, let's pause this. We'll come back.
Come back to back to that yes i think both of our single profiles are still out there because like sls i don't think they just keep them forever yeah yeah they don't go away even though you're no longer a pain you just go to a free member so they want to still count you as a member i think even though you might be dead at this point uh we should totally pull those up okay sorry we got sidetracked but anyway my point is see when the last time they logged on note there yeah um if they have reviews and then uh yeah and see if they're real if they're paid okay yeah like if they signed up last night at like midnight and they're messaging you today maybe like proceed with caution right um so and then of course if you if you're very interested in them you can do things to make sure they're not fake um ask for a live picture and you can do this stuff pretty quickly to kind of eliminate um maybe they're not really interested or maybe they're not who they say they are you can kind of eliminate some of that pretty quickly there yeah so it used to be back in our heyday all the swingers use kick i always said kick do people still use it because i feel like they do i still think people still use kick yeah they use kick and telegram now right we've we've gone past that we just give you our fucking phone number no uh i think most of our friend group has moved to snapchat yeah that's what most our friend group yeah uses and i think a lot of younger swingers they all still have our phone number too and snapchat basically is a way better app than kick and does the same kind of things yeah so either way if you move to kick um or you move to snapchat or to telegram i think all those apps have some way of sending a photo that's real, right?
You can take it right now and say, hey, look, we actually are, Dan and Lacey, we're not fakes. So that's one way to do it.
And then you're saying, so I think the problem that you're having on any dating site is there are married dudes either pretending to be single or pretending to be swingers and their wife doesn't know they're a married dude on the website and they're they're pretending to be a couple and then when you when you try to say the hey send me a picture a verification picture or hey let's meet up then they ghost you so almost what i would encourage is just do that right away right so you know once you look at their profile you're like oh hey they're an attractive couple i think there might be a connection you know say hey would you guys like to move this conversation over to snapchat we'd like to get to know you if they don't do that that's a problem yeah and you could even like start with you doing a live hitch or a live video right like hey we just wanted to we just wanted to see that we're real.
We just want to let you know we're real, yeah. And you kind of do it and then ask for it back. So, it's not like we need to see you. You know, you kind of like leave. And there's no reason if you're a real couple not to do that, right? Yeah, mm-hmm. Like, maybe you could be like, oh, hey, this is Dan and I'm at work right now. Yeah. But, you know, I get home around four and then I'll send something with Lacey., but if they're not going to willing to do it or do it together, that's a huge red flag. This is not a real person and you need to move on. Yeah. Um, what else?
Honestly, I think for people like this, um, you're going to have to move out. You're going to have to get not away from the sticks.
I'm sure you love your home and you want to be there but to swing um you might have to plan one week I don't know your if you have a small two I don't know your life but like let's just say one weekend you know that might be a month that might be six months it might be a year I don't know and you go to the nearest biggest city and I know in Ohio I don't know how far you are from like some of the bigger areas but i know there's when your clubs there play champagne yeah and um and then i know in cleveland there's several clubs so um you're just gonna have to if you were having no luck there you're just gonna have to go and meet people like the good old-fashioned way in person which i get is hard if you you have a life and you have small children and you don't have the disposable income to rent a hotel and go pay all those fees and stuff.
I totally get that. But if you really want to meet people and you're having zero luck, that would be my suggestion to you. You know, it could be like your vacation every, you know, your husband, like your one week or, you know, you could plan something around that or, you know, I don't know, but. No, I agree. Yeah. So if you are in a rural area, you're likely going to have to travel just to meet people anyway.
But if you are struggling to make connections on the apps, one feature that the apps do have that is great is they will show you local clubs, local parties, sometimes local meet and greets or house parties. I'd be a little bit more careful about the house parties and stuff because you might end up at some creepy person's house. But definitely the clubs and the bigger takeovers. So if you are in Ohio, I know Play Champagne is a reputable hotel takeover.
I know there's several clubs in Ohio that are are reputable so definitely get on sls get on sdc um if you do chat with a few couples that have been in the lifestyle and been in the area for a while you know ask them say hey we're kind of new to the lifestyle that's really how we found a lot of places you want to check out some clubs or some parties is there anything you would recommend and people will say oh yeah play champagne it's a great one go check them out um they do sell out like five minutes from i understand their events pretty quick so you want to get on their website but you can also change your location um so instead of your little tiny town in the sticks you can change it to like columbus or whatever yeah which we do that to be honest with you we don't even know what city a lot of times ours is set with because especially when we were not we didn't have a podcast and we weren't public and dan was in the military we would put it to wherever we were going so i know one time we went to mississippi we put it on mississippi we went to las vegas we put it on vegas and we i remember one time we put it on atlanta and that's how we found out about paradise valley which is a like um nudist resort slash swinger like a local person told us about it which we probably would have never found on our own so definitely ask people um another thing i'd like to plug here is swinger society yeah um we have a giant facebook group um with over i think it's like 30,000 people on the Facebook group now, completely free.
It's a good way to meet people in your area. We do threads all the time of, which state are you from? Or, you know, some of the others will post a picture. And, you know, Dan and Lacey, and we're from Nashville, and we're same room, full swap. And then a bunch of couples underneath it will post pictures and say the same thing. Also, we have a Discord server that has over 40. It's close to 45,000 people, I think, at this point.
There's different regional chats and group chats within that Discord server, and both the Facebook group and the Swinner Society Discord server are completely free, so you don't have to pay for those. Are there fake people on those?
Probably, but at least on the server there, we screen everybody we screen everybody on the facebook group too you know it's not 100 um you know we haven't like met them all in person and verified they're real but um i think for the most part you know people put a little more effort to get into those groups and and you might find more real people uh that way so definitely check those out we'd love to you to be part of our facebook group and of our discord server and you can find links to both of those on the swing nation.info the swing nation.info go check those out um we also have our lifestyle guidebook that we just released and we put on that website so if you're new to the lifestyle and you're curious on how to get started and you need some help on where the websites are um we've put all that into one little ebook so you just sign up for an email it sends you this ebook and then there's links to all of our podcast episodes that go over a lot of the stuff that new people ask and then there's free trial links to a lot of these websites so maybe the problem might be if you're up in ohio and you're on stc maybe most people up there on sls or on a different site very regional right so um we part of that guidebook is we have free trial links to most of the swinger dating uh apps so definitely you know go sign up for that guidebook go get a free link to the apps try out a couple different ones maybe you'll have better luck on one of the other one other apps.
But I think that's all I can say. How do they get the guidebook? Where do they go to sign up? So if they go to theswingnation.info, they'll see a little button. Okay, cool.
And I don't think you don't even have to't have to really put a you can make john doe or whatever we don't care if your name's real but uh the email needs to be real because that's where they're going to send the guidebook too so put your info in there it'll send you a little ebook it comes with a pdf and then it has clickable links to all the and it's completely free yeah completely free yeah so we've kind of tried to put all that together because i'll tell you that's one of the questions we probably get asked yeah absolutely the most on social media is how do we get in the lifestyle yeah um and there's just we have lots of resources for that yeah they've all been kind of scattered all over the place so we put all that together in one little ebook and you can get it for free on the swing nation.info good job doing that by the way that was a dan project good job it was a terra project but oh well we did it together oh i actually wrote most of it and then she organized it oh okay i knew you wrote it so i made it look pretty well thank you both for doing that yeah so go check that out if you are new and you are looking to get started that that'll help you out uh i hope that answers your question um i don't know if there's really a good answer, but you're going to have to travel and then try all the different sites, websites, Discord server, Facebook groups.
Pay attention to some of the stuff we talked about, whether a free account or a real account, if they have certifications, things like that. And that should help your journey. Yeah. All right.
