I think you just do what feels right. You know, in that time, it didn't feel, you know, there was just too much going on in my head to swing. So it was the right thing just to go. But I was super grateful to be around my friends. They were wonderful and made me feel lots better.

quick and i'm like uh hey all i remember is i i think i was trying to help get the card situated and then get the food paid for whatever and you know and i come walking into the room and like you said there's like 20 people in there and you standing there and i walk in and you're like dan you take over and i'm like huh and you're like i just don't know what to do because they're like all standing staring at me like ready because like you give these insightful like thank you for everything you know swinger society wouldn't be what it was if it wasn't for you guys and like what can we do better you give this like whole speech and they're looking at me like i should say something because there's no food we're just standing there you know and i'm again freshly fucked and you know i have clothes on at this point but i'm like um yeah so thank you all for being here you know i'm like trying to do like i'm just not i pain like in situations like that i don't i don't i'm not a natural born leader oh yeah i'm just kind of like you know the assistant to the side you're just good at being cute yeah right yeah not taking charge and no organizing so when you came in i was organizing the troops i'm like can you please take over because i i needed to pour shots too so that's part of it we do shots but the shot glasses were in our supply room so i was like you do this part let me go get the shots let me pour shots and i can i'm better at that yeah it worked out okay yeah yeah the food was like five minutes late we ended up doing the shot thing and then by the time we got done that the food was there and then everybody ate and then went back to the party but we i do you know genuinely speaking so if you're listening to this podcast maybe you don't realize um so not only do we do this podcast but we host events like secrets and different clubs across the country um and and we host that through swinger society which is really an online community of like-minded people um and there's a few different platforms for that but a big platform that we use is discord so we have our website swinger society.net which is where you can go and you can make a profile and you can it's kind of like a sls sdc cassidy ish it's like a swingers dating site right that's swingerside.net and that's where you get the tickets to all our events but we have a discord server which is completely free and has almost at this point almost 50 000 swingers and you can go into that discord server at any point in time and there's almost 2 000 people online actively chatting almost 24 hours a day um and then we have the facebook group and we have a reddit page and all this other stuff but to keep all of that stuff functioning and to moderate it and to you know host the town halls and to you know come up with the themes and you know we have almost a hundred maybe over a hundred at this point volunteers yeah that help manage all that stuff and don't forget the magazine right and they were that we have a magazine that they publish we have weekly newsletters that go out so like this is really a community when we say this is a community i mean it's a flourishing online community and these events you know people we get all the time like oh these are events that you know dan and lacy it's a big scam for them to make money and blah we make what me and lacy make no money but swear society as like an llc makes is almost a non-profit you do joke quite often that you're make very enough just enough money to keep itself going basically yeah um but the reason we do the events is because this community needs to gather like i really feel like the community needs gathering places right they need places to go and actually meet each other and connect with each other you know these are people that have been you know lots of them have been talking online sometimes for years before they actually get to meet each other in person so i really feel like part of the community is providing safe places for them to gather and and connect and and fuck and and party and have good times so uh you know that's the goal of all of this yeah and we get a lot of criticism for you know and people think wild crazy things you know if you don't believe us go try to start your own swinger event group and see how see how that goes for you it's not if we needed that money to survive and pay our bills we would be fucked yeah uh but uh we do it because we truly love it and we love this community um and for us because we're influencers and we're always making content throwing our own party makes it easier to do all that because we kind of have more control so it really works for our uh our business model but um there's plenty of people that have tried it and and realized that it's not as yeah lucrative as they may think yeah so secrets is like because it is our one our biggest we have the most volunteer staff members there so it's a good way to stop and say thank you and so that is what we were doing all that we do it every time so if you go back and listen to our podcast we we do it every time yeah and it's always new people i mean out of that you know there was probably 30 or so staff members that showed up to this luncheon and, and probably a third of them, it was their first secrets.
And it was the first time, you know, there's, there's a lot of rollover and this kind of thing. And people are volunteering, not, you know, people, you know, family things come up and they, they can't give it the time. And so, you know, we have a pretty good turnover and as we grow, we, we add more people.

Yeah. One of their good ones. You and him have this like shot thing going. Well, if you remember, one of the first times I ever DJed at Secrets, I did it poolside. And me and him actually DJed together, but he got me shit-faced. And this is the night I was on the microphone all night saying, if you're a quitter, fuck you. Quitters are spitters. And we're not closing until 2 a.m. And you better not leave me here. And everybody was like, Dan, I was trying to sleep in my room. And all I heard was you yelling. All you did, your music was good, but you yelled the whole night.
It's because I was shit-faced.

And I was making sure that I was like, you know, not right up against them because I didn't want them to get. So, like, obviously, if I'm aware of that, I can consent. I know, right? Yes and no. And I only slept with people that I would say yes with sitting right here sober as anything. So, you are right.
Now, if I'm being honest, i probably was not in the best headspace yeah um in hindsight i think that's probably more true than the the alternative i think um i kind of just let loose and let go which is good right but also maybe i don't know i don't know what the right thing to do is but i think it's okay to blow off the scene. But when you come home to people saying stuff, like, I to, this is, this is a pretty crude comment, but I think it's worth sharing. Somebody commented on one of our tech talks that said, I didn't even wait for my dad to get cold before I went out partying. So like something like that really with your head. You're like, Oh, I did have an orgy. Yeah. Do you feel bad? Yeah. I, you know, I do, I do feel, you know, like it does bother me and that, you know, and I can remember making the decision to go to secrets and I looked at you and I said, people are going to talk. when we got there diana and well mandy was selling tickets for september but diana and her whole crew had gotten everything was completely ready for us like normally we go and we help her break down and we pull it not this time she had like they were standing there ready to load up yeah so you know we make a schedule for these events and it says when we're going to do things and you know like one of the things on the schedule is breakdown and on the schedule we had that starting at 11 well when we went out there i think we went out there like five minutes till 11 they had all the boxes basically stacked up and ready to just put on the trailer and they're like okay dan we're ready yeah it's like oh well shit yeah yeah it was crazy but uh again they all went way above and beyond to make sure everything happened smoothly and and you know a ton of people um helped do all that oh yeah so thank you all every single one of you thank you we all everybody had partied the night before so we very much appreciate that and then after that we went to check on mandy so if you don't know we release um the next event like the next secrets at the current so we released our september secrets which i should probably give them some information on you should probably do that, yeah.
So, in the lobby on Sunday, Mandy will sit there at a table. And as you're checking out of Secrets, if you want to book the next Secrets, she'll do that for you. It sticks out to me because we were able to, I feel like it's the least i've worked out of secrets in a long time yeah and again because of our amazing stuff it was a good time um we came back to reality when we got home but that's okay that's part of life and um i'm grateful that we have jobs that we love and that we can kind of step away and enjoy ourselves and then come home and be back to reality. And, um, just to like update mom is home. My mom is actually doing wonderful, probably the best she has since she started chemo. Yeah. Since she started chemo. So, um, super grateful for that.

So even if like we start on that now and then maybe it finishes at Hedo, I really i want to get over my nerves i think that's probably more of a bucket list thing for me like i don't know why but for some guys i just clam up and panic and don't know what to say and overthink situations which i'm sure a lot of you can relate to that and i really want to work through that like if i think someone's hot i want to be able to walk in and be like you're fucking hot you know let's make out i want to have the courage to be that person yeah um i tend to overthink and then get awkward and and fuck up so right so i think i have a few things one my over 60 is still and the only reason i bring that up is because bliss cruise usually skews a little bit older so i think there's a real chance of that happening on this cruise so that that's one but i think overall secondly you know when we did that last podcast with dr store and she basically was like you know these are my normal rules and then these are my bliss crew cruise rules and she basically was saying on a bliss cruise she's much more open to just going where the wind takes her and you know like if somebody's hot in that moment and she feels like doing it she'll just do it and if not she won't you know i mean like i kind of like that as like an overall theme like this is bliss cruise like yeah like we don't these don't have to be people that we want to even be friends with after this like if the moment's right and it feels comfortable just go with it yeah i'm a tad bit concerned about that because i don't know what headspace i'm going in and that was yeah that's my next comment um going into because one you and i have not been we've had sex we had sex like yesterday but we've not had a ton of sex we're not at our normal behavior i'm not like i don't i'm not in this like super sexy sexual like demon like sultry situation right i mean that i need to relax yeah i need to get my head on straight i need to listen to the waves so i don't know this week could be.

And what that looks like at the end, we'll figure that out.
