And we're just here to sit down and talk to them a little bit about secrets and a little bit about them and their lifestyle journey and kind of share all that with you guys. So we appreciate you guys joining us and sitting down with us and taking time out of your busy schedule to do that. Hey, man, we're glad you came by and came by to see us. Yes. We're happy to be here.
We love time we came so we were excited to come back oh yeah we really like it here yeah it reminds me of spring break for adults you know somebody was asking in there like how would you describe um secrets i was like panama city beach spring break for adults like that's kind of what it is you know i mean it really is in like the best possible way yeah i've heard uh adult disney world too yeah yeah i've heard that one it is once you enter the gates yes for sure except for instead of it saying the happiest place on earth this is the sexiest place i love it absolutely uh so i think we'll start is if you guys want to give us a little um background you, your lifestyle journey, how did you get into swinging, how long have you been swingers, how you guys met, any of that information, we'd be happy to hear about it and share it.
Okay. We're probably one of the old timers. Probably, I was going to say. In May, it'll be 29 years. Wow. And we've been together for 29 years ever since then but we've clocked in more time than couples that are married 75 years because we live together work together we don't have separate offices her desk is the same distance where we're sitting right here so you're with each other 24 we are together all the time always work. So it works nicely for us. It works well for us. So 29 years ago, she was living farther north in the southern states, but she came down to Florida to be with me.
And I took her to a nude beach to haul over, and she was nervous about that. Oh, my gosh, yes. I was like, oh, no, we can't do that. No, you're going to see. Our first nudist experience, we went to Paradise Valley, and it's clothing optional, but she wore a one-piece bathing suit. He will never let me live that damn. I took it off in like five minutes, okay? But I was nervous. So she can definitely relate.
Well, you're the only person down here with a bathing suit on so had you been in the lifestyle prior to meeting her or did you just like nude beaches or how did that work you know I don't even know if It was called The Light of the all-male dance extravaganza so I had that we would you know of course you know we traveled all around the southeastern United States and real heavy all over Florida. And we'd meet girls. And, of course, you know, we'd bring caravan back to our place. And I had a big bachelor pad with hot tubs and stuff.
And we just thought we were being, you know, jet-setting Playboy dudes. We just thought, well, this is the lifestyle of Hugh Hefner in a male dancer world, you know. We didn't know it was really the lifestyle. But we were having, you know, jacuzzi orgies, you know, and stuff way back then. So, but that was a long time ago. That was probably 40 years and 40 pounds ago. That's all. So I told Barbie, and when I first met her, I told her, you know, I was telling her about the lifestyle and, you know, some experience. She said, wow, does that really go on? I said, yeah, yeah.
I thought he was making it up. I thought he was just making me laugh, because I did. I thought, oh, that doesn't happen. I said, no, if you're lucky, it is. So I told her, and she said, well, I'm glad you got that out of your system. And I'm like. I did. I said that. I'm telling you because I'm trying to be in full disclosure. I'm not telling you because I got it out of my system. I'm telling you so you know what you're in for. Yeah. So that, you know, she kind of knew. And then we went to the nude beach.
And by the end of the nude beach, she's running around me talking to everybody in the world. Just such a friendly group. I mean, you just make nicer people.
They always are really nicer people judgment free so then we thought well i or i thought hey i'm on a roll and there was no real places down in south florida except for deanie's hideaway which had been there it was an institution had been there a long time and it looked like an old frat house so i said hey let's go to this place and she said what's this and i told her she goes oh man she goes it's not gonna be a gangbang and i said no we're just gonna go there and only if you want it to be exactly but i was a nervous nailing yeah she was super nervous so we went there and you know we had fun just staying with each other and she was you know kind of that was for the first couple years it was always just each other but playing yeah with friends very very similar in the atmosphere it was just really sexy and erotic and again people are so nice they are I agree it is so so we you know and then you know we just started exploring farther and farther and then she started finding out it was fun with girl play and then it was you know and then it was when extra guys were involved it's like okay now there's not a lot of pressure on me i mean you know when they got when they have okay here's two girls it's like oh now twice Okay, I hope you're into each other also.
I love it. So it was just a step-by-step like you said in a journey along the way the nude beach the different clubs and then the became started more clubs started opening up in South Florida so yes it was starting to become on the radar that's awesome so y'all just went to clubs and is that how you met people or did you like meet other like I was there online at that one was there not actually America online was very new yeah and it was this was in like nineteen ninety four you got the floppy disk at Best Buy everybody got a free disk number.
Number one's like, America Online, so easy, no wonder it's number one. You're like, well, what else would there else be? There's not a lot of others. Yeah. So everybody was America Online. And, you know, we were meeting people. We created a room called the Florida Couples Chat Room. Everybody started going there, and it started getting real popular, and everybody was meeting there. But then now you're meeting, meeting and then you're saying let's go to, you know, let's meet at this restaurant and we'll go here and stuff. Yeah, America Online. So AOL. Yeah, AOL. Like instant messenger.
Like AOL chat rooms. Yeah, yeah. There was a chat room. I never realized AOL stood for America Online. Did you know that? Yes, I did. I didn't know that. And that used to be the, I mean, this when internet first started. Way to make me feel old. I was like 12 or 13. I was in those chat rooms too. Yeah, I was in the chat room. I mean, I wasn't talking about swing or stuff, but I was there. I was trying to find boys. Yeah, I was trying to find some girls too. So it was all the same rooms. Yeah.
So we find that, you know, when everybody was just meeting out at restaurants and that's when you know it's like man there's so much pressure then you gotta go there and see if you'd hit it off and you gotta have a four way get along you know I like her I like him and she like that but then she doesn't like me and then that throws a little kibosh on everything so Plato's they opened up down in Fort Lauderdale called Plato's Repeat. And so they came down there. And so we started meeting people there.
And I said, you know, we ought to put, there's so many people in the, you know, Florida couples chat room now. I said, let's go ahead and have a party that's about the Florida couples chat room.
So we literally, and I had a bunch of computers and I had several phone lines just because i'd always worked from home so we started talking to each other in the chat room saying man were you at that great party last night and then barbie's over here going oh yeah that was so great and i'm talking and we were all just chatting four names screaming and everybody's going wait what party we didn't know anything we said yeah they're doing it again next month it's gonna be the last Thursday of every month you won't believe it there was so many people showed up for the next party we had to have off-duty police directing traffic out of the road and it was really nice.
So this was at Play-Dohs? Play-Dohs repeat in Fort Lauderdale. And that's just a club or what? It's just a swing club. And you just know where the hot tub and playrooms and things like dance floor dinner. And it was our home club where we had started going all the time. So that turned in really big. And, you know, we did that for a long time. And we had parties there, takeovers every month for, I don't know. So you ran the takeovers, like, as the AOL group? Yes. Like, you approached the club and said, hey, can we have it? We've got AOL to sponsor us. Oh, I love it.
They sent us name tags that had, they said, AOL, my name is, and everybody would write their screen name on it. They wear it and had a little light on it, and we'd give away mousepads and things like that. AOL mousepads. And a swinger event. Hey, so there you go, Swing Nation. AOL Instant Messenger used to sponsor Swing. Yeah, I love it. That's awesome. Right? That is really great. That's crazy. Yeah. So we did that for years.
And then when the owner of Play-Dohs died, then Barbie and I bought the club from the widow and we renovated it and made it real nice, built it up bigger, and then back to her and because we were busy with real estate we've always been in real estate real big and so we just kept moving on with things but we always have lifestyle things even when we started boating we started boating parties down in miami and if you'd go to bellavitaboatclub.com i mean every month for nine years we had a three-day takeover we'd take over an entire island in miami and we'd have you still do that because i want to go i'm like wait a second barbie shoot me an email once the next time that's wonderful real estate came back into play so we're here yeah but no it was a clothing optional lifestyle boat party and it was so fun and met some genuine friends that we're still in contact with yeah you know we went out on a catamaran yeah part of our favorite part you we'd put we'd put tiki torches on the beach and a bonfire and we'd put lights underwater lighting it up and then I had a broadcaster where we'd have one we would have a DJ that was playing the music and everybody could dial in their radio station nice so every boat their sound system is all the same.
Nine years every month. And it was a three-night event. We do Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. And we'd have, you know, 350, 400 people there. That sounds so much fun. It was a big event. It was big. That sounds awesome. We miss it. You can tell we miss it. Yeah. We miss Diana. I miss it. Yeah, I miss it. And we're not even there. That's awesome. So what made you think of sacred? It's like, how did this place come about? Because it's awesome. We love it. Yeah, I missed it, and we're not even there. That's awesome. So what made you think of secrets? Like, how did this place come about?
Because it's awesome. We love it here. It really is. That's a really good story also. It's like Hedo for the U.S. It's like kind of another way to describe it. You can't really, I mean, it's about the closest experience you're going to get inside of the U.S. to something like that. That we're aware of. That we're aware of. And we're aware of in the U.S. And that we're aware of, too. We don't know of anything like this. There's another place down in Hollywood, Rooftop Beach House. We just had friends that went there for New Year's. You know, and it's nice for what it is.
You know, it's 35 rooms, but then I don't know how many, five or ten of them they've used as playrooms. So that kind of rooms that you can rent. So it's a much smaller property, and it doesn't have... We've got Party Mark Vegas out there, real big at hedonism and for topless travel and things. And he comes and we fly him in twice a month.
Every other week, he's here for the whole weekend him and chelsea doing the parties yeah they're awesome yeah they are we've talked about them on the podcast uh last time yeah oh good they were here they actually won a competition the last time we were here and it was with mark oh yes i listened to that i did tell me tell me what the competition was it was you had to like flick these like little duckies and catch them and but I thought it was gonna be with the drill dough no I cheated and I won and then we won six ways and then in order to win them we had to display them in front of everybody's very clever he's like okay you won this yes but you have to show everybody how it works and let me just like do my thing oh no he brought a lawn chair okay we're doing this just kind of displayed of what you want but you demonstrate yeah like I thought I was gonna sit like on the side of the pool you know and kind of like do my own thing oh no no no okay okay I come committed it's like you're putting on a show I'm committed yeah oh yeah yeah I knew I was getting myself well I didn't know but I was okay with it I was okay it was fun it was definitely a fun experience it's so funny just like a like a side note the house is for sale and the other day I had to leave to take the dogs out and I realized that the box is sitting on top of the Counter and like the lady had came the day before to take pictures of the house And I don't think maybe you didn't even hide the dild like, oh my God, I had to hide it so the people that come to look at the house don't see it.
I was like, oh my God. Now it's in the pictures on MLS. I actually meant to look it up and see. But yeah, it was that one. Yeah, it was that one because it was sitting on the counter. I was like, oh my God, how fun. Oh, that's fun. Yeah. Okay, back to the secret. Sorry, we got on a tangent there. We got on a tangent. You can stop me anytime to talk about you with a dildo. Okay, secret. Okay, my face is red. So actually, James and Carmen, they rented the nightclub out because it was an old Ramada inn. It was still a Ramada. Yeah, it was still a Ramada then, but the nightclub was closed.
So he rented the nightclub and because it was an old ramada inn it was still a ramada yeah it was still a ramada then but the nightclub was closed so he rented the nightclub and they started having parties once a month on saturday nights and it started out with eight people and then it grew to 16 people and just you know the people are telling people and these are lifestyle parties yeah and their playrooms they would rent two hotel rooms with an adjoining door and that was the okay the playrooms everybody's in the nightclub and then okay let's go here and then they'd open up you know um go to their hotel rooms that they rented well it kept getting bigger and bigger and and then you know and they've got especially the where the playrooms are now that used to be meeting rooms and banquet we were right i'm not sure but it looks like that would be like a conference room or something it used to be and they would go and they so then once they got so big they couldn't fit in just to adjoining rooms then they started taking over that putting mattresses in but they had to get it cleaned up and get out of there first things you know sunday morning morning because at 10 o'clock there was a Sunday go-to-meeting church services there.
We've been to hotel takeovers when you're walking out and the church people are walking in. They're sitting there taking mattresses out and getting all the condoms and anything on the floor and cleaning it all up ready for the church thing because they're renting it.
But it kind of got to where was getting to they couldn't fit both here harmoniously because you know there's families coming here to go to looking for a budget hotel to go to disney and the reviews online they were saying oh you know don't stay there you know i don't need my husband looking at these you know strippers out there and it's like you know they're not strippers they're like and then somebody else is saying oh they got all these prostitutes walking around on g-strings by the pool it's like they're not prostitutes that's my wife that's awesome hills with a bikini is a dead giveaway yeah it is it is yeah so you know so So they had to make a deal on that to rent the whole place with an option to buy within in two years so they rented the whole place and turned it all into lifestyle stuff and uh it's you know kept building it bigger and bigger until it started coming to time when then now it's time to buy it and then that's when barbie and i got involved and we said you know one way to buy it if we convert all the hotel rooms into condominiums and sell them individually and then renovate them and make them look instead of a 1974 ramadi right it's 45 years old and looks every bit its age yes we can turn them into something really nice and make them five-star, I think we can really make something here.
So that's what we started doing. Barbie and I got here in February 10, 2016 and started then. And now you can see what we turn them into. It's amazing. I love how they're all different. I think that makes it so much fun. I enjoy just going to the website and looking at each individual room. I think it's fun, yeah. That's what really makes it unique. You know, Holiday Inn used to have a saying that, you know, because everything was consistent in every, not just in that hotel, but in every Holiday Inn. And they used to say, the best surprise is no surprise.
Well, that was for guys that are traveling on the road they like to walk in and everything's familiar they felt like they were home it didn't matter what room what state what hotel building they were in the best surprise is no surprise they're always the same here the best surprise is every room is a surprise yeah i don't know what you're getting unless you go online and see it yeah because we would sell the room and then we built out three bottles and we said okay here's the basic models tell me what you want to do differently Well, that was four years ago five years ago we've been you know now it's like oh well i want this we've been getting more extreme and more crazy and you can see we've got six foot you know yeah six foot square diana you know um ceiling mirrors with crown mold lighting and everything like that.
And, you know, start doing more things, putting three-dimensional marble on the walls and imported marble from Greece over here and trim and just, you know, we just kept on going wilder and wilder, putting more and more things. Whose idea was the picture windows in the front of every... Were they already there or did y'all put those in? No. These are all new. No, it was 1974 looking. That's all new and we put those in. That was mine. They're all thermopane double were they that size though? Yeah, the other windows were actually bigger.
They were sliding track because the originals, they didn't even really have air conditioning in all the rooms back in the 70s. So if you don't know what we're talking about, and we talked about this on our last podcast that we did about secrets, but every room has, I don't know, what's that, like four by six? Four by six. Yeah, windows in the front, and they all have curtains. And as you walk around, you can look into everybody's room. It's fun. And it's very voyeuristic. Usually people leave them open. Oh, yeah. They're like 90% always open. You don't see too many closed curtains.
Maybe at nighttime when everybody's sleeping. But for the most part, they're all wide open. People, you know, this room we're in right now, the shower's all glassed in. And you can see that from outside. And it's very fun. That makes it fun to be able to walk around. Like even if you're not ready to full swap yet.
Like if you're just getting in the lifestyle and you just want to come and have sex and let people like but you're still private and people can watch like it's hot it's fun separated from you yeah you're still they're still it adds a lot of stuff when you've got a king-size bed you can be not and you know if the wives say if they're all new in it they say the rule is okay but i don't want you touching anybody okay you can still have two couples on a king-size bed but when you got a mirror over you it's a whole different thing you can see everything happening all around what's going on it's like holy cow that guy's got some moves let me learn that one and i see you were saying you went to the website likes to look at at the pictures.
I always ask our guests, how did you choose your room? Because there's something for everyone. Maybe everyone wants a mirror over their bed. Maybe someone else wants an open shower. Maybe someone else wants one of the swings or a dance pole. I mean, there's something for everyone. Well, and the first time we came, I just called. I didn't know that every room was individual. I had no idea. I was just like, we're going to Secrets. They told me when we're going. I'm like, okay. So I called, and I was just like, I just need a room.
I don't know that every room was individual I had no idea I was just like we're going to secrets they told me when we're going I'm like okay so I called and I was just like I just need a room I had no idea so when we got here we had a perfectly fine room but it was probably more of like a budget friendly room you know which I really like because if you don't have the money to spend you know like you can get a $75 room a night and I love that that. But it was pretty basic, our first room. So it was fun the next time because I realized. So then I just went through.
And I wanted something like as modern as I could get it. Like we didn't have a sex swing, which I'm a little sad about that. Next time. Next time. Because I do love those sex swings that they all have in them, those leather ones. We have the one that's like the nylon.
Straps it's crap i don't like it so i love those so next time next time and we have and we even have some rooms where people they have the hooks put in the ceiling but they don't necessarily provide the swing and people can go down in the gift shop down at fair villa right in the lobby and buy anything there's's clothes and shoes and toys. I love the gift shop. And they can buy swings and dance pulls right down there. Yeah. It is nice to have that on premise. It is very nice. Because they have all the toys in there. They have all of them.
If you didn't bring something and you need it it's definitely available. Well I met one lady the last time we were here she broke her shoe and she just went in there and bought a brand new pair of shoes. You know, it's just like, okay, that's convenient, you know. And I've had guests go, I didn't know it was a theme party tonight. Wonderful. Fair Villa always has something for the theme parties. And they look at our calendar so they know what the themes are. So they can go ahead and make sure, okay, it's camera flush. Make sure, oh, it's naughty nurses. Yeah. Oh, it's fireman, policeman theme.
And they'll, you you know they look at the themes that are on our website so that's smart have things and yeah you know help everybody well you can order stuff on amazon all the time but i kind of like that you can go in there and actually see it in person and touch it it's not like you're going into a sex shop in your city that you're from like with everybody from your town you know because i'm from like a small town so like to go to this sex shop it's a little you know usually i just order all that stuff on amazon here you you know you're with you're with friends we're all here for the same thing yeah sure we're all here for the same thing so so i i get another thing i want to talk about a little bit we talked a little bit about this before we started recording you know you said you started with aol but then we had a little conversation before aol i guess you had some lifestyle experience and kind of how that worked did you want to talk about that at all i think a lot of people are you know we get it you know we're on tick tock and we get all these questions and like does the upside down pineapple is that really how people meet couples and like like you know if you put a pineapple if i have a pineapple as a door hanger on my house or a swinger is going to try to come over and me and.
And it's like, you know, like people take a lot of those symbols. Or they're like, I went to Walmart and put a pineapple upside down in my car. And nobody approached me. Nobody spoke to me. And we're like, oh, my God. No. It doesn't work that way. Barbie and I are big motor homers. I mean, we travel all over. And Barbie does all the driving in it. I love that. I do.
I love to i love to drive oh i love that and uh and you we you go to any campground and you're going to be seeing upside down pineapples and they'll have signs out with an upside down pineapple and saying hi we're mary and john you know upside down pineapple you know and so um you know and if if i'm wearing a pineapple shirt then they'll go hey i like your shirt yeah and if they especially if they say i like your pineapple shirt yeah you know you know yeah so yeah it is the pineapple is pretty big in the motorhome world yeah it wasn't in the boating world um they weren't doing it but yeah but we always have people say oh my next-door neighbor has a pineapple door hanger do you think stronger?
I'm like, probably not. Lots of people in this world love pineapples. Well, it's the Hawaiian symbol for, you know, hello and well-being in hospitality. We're like, but no, she has a pineapple, a boob job, a hot tub. And a tan. She wears heels to the pool, like you said. Then maybe, yeah. But, you know, lots of people like pineapples, and it doesn't mean they're absolutely sweeters. Now, have you, you know, being the owner of this resort, have you got pushback from the community about it? Do you have much advocates here trying to get you shut down? Is there any of that going on?
Or have you had experiences with that? Yes and no.
11 years ago when they were first doing it with just the nightclub and then started renting the hotel and having the parties then apartment buildings across the street you know they kept on making fake phone calls to the police saying that there was noise disturbance it's like how what are we doing and they were complaining about things just because they don't like us and our lifestyle yeah but then you know that and that it all faded away by the time barbie and i got here we've been here for six years now and uh you know that was pretty much a thing of the past then so you know i mean we've had the sheriff come over and saying hey i just want to let you guys know if you need anything you know we're right around the corner call us remember this was an old rundown dilapidated 1974 hotel so right they were being called out all the time for different things very low tax base and it had you know that they had a they had a lot of drugs and prostitution from street people that are using it for things and uh also we take it and we turn them into individual condominiums that are five stars 24 hour security 24 hour security guards all the time every day and just turn it into something now now the tax base is through the roof it's more than any hotel in the area and it's probably more than any four hotels combined in the area that's wonderful and, you know, it's a lot.
And then you guys coming here and doing the charity for the battery lives. You know, things like that. That's really nice. Well, that's why we try. So, like, kind of our whole point is to show that swingers, when people think of swingers, they think of, like, drugs and sex and just maybe just, like, a lower class of people.
Well, we tried really hard to show that, like, people think of swingers they think of like drugs and sex and just maybe just like a lower class of people we tried really hard to show that like swingers you know they're doctors and lawyers and teachers and nurses and they're your next-door neighbors and they probably sit next to you at church to be super honest with you and like they're we're more than just sex like we want to show like we want to give back and we want to show like the positive side of swingers and so that's why we try really hard and we go to events and we do things to associate it with some sort of charity just because i mean it's more than just about us so we just try yeah really hard what lacy yeah mine and lacy's perspective the whole reason we got on tick tock and have started talking about the lifestyles but you know one it's 2022 the fact that swingers have to be afraid of being outed because they'll be you know driven out of their community or you know maybe have issues with custody battles with their children or get fired from their jobs to us it's it seems like you know in today's day and age where people are so accepting of all different lifestyles you know um that our lifestyle should if people choose to and want to be public with it that they shouldn't face yeah the types of discrimination that swingers do face it's a lot more accepted today than it is oh for sure yeah 25 years ago 26 years ago when barbie first joined me yeah yeah you're correct i mean it's a lot of professionals it is professional people and what's so awesome is when you walk through the doors and you're out like for instance at the poll nobody knows how much anybody had money they make or what they do it doesn't matter they don't care who you voted for they just we're just all there to have fun and that's what like it should be about and i think people don't realize that it's it i don't know right so our perspective is you know if we can shed a little bit of light on the lifestyle and kind of show the types of people like like you two who they are and you know what they represent and the types of things they support and just show people that we're just normal everyday people that just like to be naughty yeah and consensual like consensual naughtiness and not i don't think every person is a monogamous person you know i mean i think people just aren't well we're genetically designed not to be yeah i mean there's only a few animals in the entire world that are designed to mate and stay exclusive for life right like the emperor penguin yeah you know well if i lived in antarctica i might be like i mean i'd be like you know what she's looking pretty good i'll stay with you but you know when you know you live in florida and you know and there's other options and things like that.
You know, that's what makes secrets so nice is, you know, lifestyle is about options. Well, now, you know, if it was just a regular condominium building where everybody is the same, then now it's your same neighbors, your same everything. It's like getting a Playboy every month that has the same centerfold.
You know, so this is a whole you know thing you know if you own a condo then when you come here you stay in it you don't know who's going to be your neighbor this week because you're the people that own it it's being rented out to other people and there's everybody staying in it you know so it's always it's always new people there's always more fun people traveling through from all over the world that come here. Yeah. That's awesome. I love it. Yeah, I agree. And so, yeah, I think that's, that's our message.
And I think it's, you know, the more we can kind of shed, you know, shed a light on the community and show the types of things that our community is doing. I think, you know, it'll just help people see that it's not... It's not doing our little part. Not what they see in Hollywood. No, that's great. Not what they see in Hollywood. It's not what they see in movies. It's really down-to-earth. Yeah, it's very down-to-earth. It's really down-to-earth people that are just a little more open-minded than most. And I think that's the message we're trying to get out.
And really, that's why it's becoming more and more accepted and not as taboo as, know a long time ago it was a big taboo thing i'd imagine and uh you know now it's kind of a you know everybody kind of seems like the college kids these days it's kind of like a normal thing that they have the sex parties and they're and they all are doing they used to say oh yeah i experimented a little bit in college well now, now it's kind of like everybody, they're just doing, oh, yeah, yeah, oh, yeah, we did that. Yeah. They're much more. Everybody's got their friends with benefits.
We talk about that because Dan has older children, like high school age, and we talk about how they found out about it. They found out how we should talk. And we talk about how they are very, like, they're just being raised in a generation and much more openly accepting of, so, because the transgender, you know, all those things that they're being raised with, they're just much more accepting of all people. Yeah, and I think, you know, you guys had said that Frederick, you know, your family knows and is aware of some of your lifestyle choices, but Barbie's family is not.
So a lot of it a lot of people i think have fears of you know getting found out and if they did do this that people would know but i do feel like the the good thing about swingers in our community is you kind of have that option right if you want to remain discreet you know um there's what there there are ways to do that and our community protects each other correct everyone respects everyone they do obviously for sure. Yeah, I mean, even before we started, we asked y'all, do you not want to talk about certain things?
It's like, it's important for us to protect the people that we meet, that we play with, that we're just friends with. Just, we want to protect them. We don't want to out anybody. Now, if you start making TikToks, though, you will not. You'll be out to everybody who's got it out of there. You'll be out. Within, like, 12 hours. Trust us. You know, if you were thinking about doing TikToks, just so you know, it's a thing. No, we respect others' privacy on our personal level with our friends and new friends that we meet, but Secrets as a whole as well. Yeah.
It's a very, your membership here is a private membership. Right. What we used to have on the wall at Play-Dohs, when we bought Play-Dohs, we had a real big there. And it was a whole sign that said, what you see here and hear here remains here when you leave here. I love that. And it's very true. It's almost like a, didn't you say it's like Fight Club or something like that? Right. It's like an, like, you don't talk about it. You don't talk about it. Yeah. You just, and I think that's, swingers are very good about that, not outing other people.
But, you know, the more people are involved in it, then the more accepting it becomes. And that's why, you know, the gay community has such a huge push and everything. And they're in politics and they keep on. The celebrities are coming out. Everybody comes out. We've got a Tuesday night is Pride Night here at Sequence. I love that. I didn't know that. I didn't know that.
Oh,'t know that We've got some of the biggest drag queens that come and they host a big show and they do a show and they play games and Thursday night during Happy Hour they come and they host Naughty Bingo at the Tiki Bar out by the pool It's a lot of fun too It's a fun thing and so on Tuesdays there, transgenders. There'll be, you know, post-op, pre-ops. There'll be everything, everything you can imagine. We've seen transgender people here before. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, we have. Yeah, I love that.
And it's, you know, everything that makes things more accepting and more, you know, not surprising to see.
You know, it just helps the world keep on moving forward into a more generally accepting open-minded yeah you know so i i think on this note you you came down to our cabana earlier and i don't know if you saw the flag we had hung up but part of what we've been talking about is you know with the gay community they're very community oriented and they have like the pride flag everybody everybody flies it and they're proud of that um so we we got on tiktok a while ago and said hey why do swickers not have like why do we not have a flag like why is there not a symbol and so a lot of people were like yeah we need that like we want that we need that so we put up a few different options on our website and said hey you know what do you guys think you know and they were all pineapple kind of based um but overwhelmingly i think there was something like 10 000 people voted on on a flag and so that flag that's hanging up down in our cabana down there is the one that won and it's it's an upside down pineapple and it's rainbow colored so representing that our community is is based up of all communities right because like you're saying that all community you know every community you know if you look at a swinger club or a swinger resort you will get people of every sexual orientation and walk of life within our community uh and then the background it transitions from white to pink and that's uh essentially like virginity to sexuality pretty much saying that that swinging is it's it's a journey right so we all started somewhere right somewhere more on that white side where we were nervous we were talking with barbie about that right and what lacy the same and even you know probably us right um but you know as we as we explore the lifestyle we we start moving more more into that direction and i think it's a constant you know it's a constant journey i think you know like probably where you guys were five years ago might not be where you are today as far as what you're comfortable with and what you want to do and try uh it's always changing so i think it's a good a good symbol if you guys would like a fly we'd absolutely uh would give you one yeah we have love to come see we'll give you one uh you can display it but i think you know like you're saying the gay community is a very big community i think the swinger community is just as big we're just hitting we're just quiet you know what i mean and slowly starting to come out more and people will think that they're not in the lifestyle because they don't they don't know yeah correct you know i mean they're the lifestyle doesn't mean simply swapping and simply full swapping with your next door neighbor it's like you know there's all different levels i mean if if you just if you know what barbie was a big exhibitionist and i was a big voyeur so we were perfectly matched that way and we didn't really think we were in the lifestyle because you know we're just doing things and we're playing and we're doing she's flashing and doing everything in public and stuff and that kind of you know then you start realizing that you know that's just another step right that's a baby you're over there you're over there in the white room somewhere right well we we know people that just play with like single females and they think oh we're just hooking up with girls at a bar you know we're not swingers we just yeah yeah we just like picking up chicks we just like up other vanillas yeah we just get drunk and play with our best friends, you know, or something like that.
But, yeah, so I think you're absolutely right. You're absolutely right. I'm going to need the names of those. I'm going to get the, yeah, yeah. So what's next for Secrets? James mentioned that y'all might be expanding or getting a pull or what's going on? What's the plans? Can we talk about them? Yeah, sure. Okay. Sure.
we've got it took a long time to develop because we had it all designed and things and then when covid came we had to put the brakes on everything we had to shut down the hotel for six weeks and we didn't know how long it was going to last and i mean you know the world was in kind of a nobody knew no growing panic about what was going to happen how long it would be and, and things like that.
So, you know, we kept moving forward, and we had to redesign things and stuff, but we've got a design now that I worked for the last 18 months on, and now we've got the permits for it, and they're going to start mobilizing before the end of the month, in two weeks, they're going to be mobilizing, start tearing out the existing old pool because we've got two pools one we built five years ago and with two hot tubs and then the original pool from 1974 that one's getting dug out of the ground that's the stage right now right underneath the stage yes because we we started to do it back just before pandemic and we drained the water and we're we're getting ready to dig it out, and all of a sudden, pandemic came, and we put the brakes on, and so we had a lot of rain, and the pool turned into a boat and floated up out of the ground and broke all the plumbing underneath it, and we're like, now we have an albatross, now we can't use it as a swimming pool and we don't know if we should go ahead and spend millions of dollars on what our plans were so you know it just kind of delayed everything for a while so now we're we got everything all set up and we're funding it ourselves and building the pool and so we're tearing out the bathhouse and the swimming pools and, I mean, the old pool, the big one, where the stage is over right now.

The entertainment pavilion now. Can you talk to the design? Do you want to talk about what it's going to look like? Or do you want to hold off on that? Tell us. I'm interested just personally. I mean, I've got some pictures on my phone. I don't know if you can see it that way. I can show you. So you have a new stage. I'm guessing they'll build a new stage somewhere. Yes, with the entertainment pavilion.
It's more than just a tiki bar. It's going to be more of a open space. That'll be phase two. That's awesome. That's so cool. James was saying something about a U-shaped pool with, like, the entertainment in the middle of it or something like that. Yes. It's got a lot of stuff.
We've got a zero entry in, so it'll be like a beach entry where, you you know it starts off and it goes you know so you can walk down there and if you just if you want to be in the water but you don't want to be soaking you can just sit in a quarter inch deep over a 35 foot slope till it finally gets to four feet deep and then there's bench seating all the way around and it's you know more than twice the size of the existing pool and um and then there's you know areas there's a place for when party mark vegas with chelsea's here and they're doing their thing we've got an area you know there'll be a stage that literally comes out into the pool that has steps on it so people can step right about up onto the stage if he's calling you up I was going to say to up and demonstrate what you got I'm gonna have my own stage here I'm gonna have a lawn chair with your name on it I didn't know you were building me a stage A stage with a lawn chair and a leg spreader Yes, yes That's her favorite seat at Trapeze Atlanta Oh yeah, I love that I the Diamond Club in the back and it's really nice yeah but uh yeah so big things happening and i heard something more about maybe it's opening a second resort that that's that's we're a prude maybe yeah we're a prude side or something or one that's more like it's adults only but not not all the way it's secrets here you can do anything you want yeah anywhere which is why we love it i mean anywhere except for there's no sex allowed in the nightclub or in the lobby or in the dining room okay but you know but you know out out by the pool and stuff i mean you know when you look at what happens at all the other places whether you're at hedonism in jamaica or if you're a desire or temptation and pearl um you know they don't even go to that extreme but i mean if if someone wants to do you know we've had gang bangs that started out as just doing you know uh belly shots off of the bar yeah turned into you know from body shots to everything you can imagine yeah and so everything's allowed here you know as long as everybody's having fun and like you said it's safe consensual and all that yeah yeah that's awesome i love it so we're you know so we're we're looking at we've got we're under a due diligence period 60 days due diligence period on a property next door that would kind of be an incubator that would feed this.
then we've got something else we're working on in orlando that um is a big resort but it would be it would be more like a um uh just adults only like more like temptations yeah maybe even a milder version well it'd be like if you if you've been on virgin cruise ships i mean you know it's adults only no kids and they're partying and they're and if or if you've been to the hard rock out in vegas you know they got rooms and there's party and stuff going on but i mean there's not like okay here's a group playroom and here we have this and stuff they they have things they have all the tools available for you there but you guys do it on your own and take it to your space gotcha and things like that so we're doing some things that we think will be a great incubator for growing uh the the brand for secrets but also the lifestyle because people a lot of times adults are afraid to go to a swingers thing because right the and i'm sure you get this email all the time where they ask so what do everybody just drop their clothes at the door and is there a pile they jump in?
Yeah, we get that all the time. I think people do assume that it's like – But they just don't know what to do. In a perfect world. It's not just a big orgy that people fuck everybody. It's very – It's like if everything works out right.
It's a goal, but – For some for some but yeah but like a lot of new people i mean something like that like what you're describing would be perfect for somebody that like maybe wants to dip their toes in but are a little afraid to go all the way all the way we get emails a lot of people where they're saying we want to come there but my wife's concerned and she's intimidated about this and we we have to, it's not like that. Tell her if she can wear a one-piece, I did it. You tell them, and I tell them, you know, 100% of the people aren't naked out of the pool.
You know, probably 80% of the girls are topless. Yeah. But then, you know, another 20% or 25% are bottomless. Yeah.
And probably, I would say only 40% of the guys are naked and uh you know if i were to guess percentages and i said tell them you can just come and sit at the tiki bar hang out and you don't have to do anything it's your own comfort zone like you said it's a progression just watch people and then go back to your room and have pod sex with each other you know yeah i say that all the time so so the um you know the other places they're going to be more like if when you're at hedonist and there's the nude and the prude side the prude side you're wearing bathing suits the nude side i mean you know how it is yeah if you're there and you don't if you're not naked the security guard comes over you you need to take off your clothes or get out this is not this is you know nude only and i get it and uh so you know it'd be more of like that so but but it'll still be full-on party and but it'll be uh you know where people can go there and it'll be an incubator people go there and if they like that and they go man this is wild there people are going to be saying you know you should see their place over in kissimi yeah kissimi i agree You should go to their place there, see it, have you seen our shuttle bus?
So we have a shuttle bus that's all glammed out in secret stuff. So we'll be able to take people back and forth wherever they are. Yeah, Frederick offered us to take his glammed out G-blast. We should have done it just for fun, just to some heads at Disney to know where you're from oh you were going to Disney we went to Disney Springs last night yeah we went and had dinner yeah Disney has these little Volkswagen bugs that are red with white polka dots like Minnie Mouse and a big bow on it and it's like so yeah we, yeah, we're kind of like that. Yeah. We're the naughtier version of that. Yeah.
So I think maybe a good way to wrap this up, since we do have a lot of new people, right? So because we're on TikTok, because we're in the podcast world, a lot of the people that I think listen to us and follow us on TikTok aren't even in the lifestyle.
And a lot of them are, you know, younger 30 olds even they want to be or thinking about it they're curious what would your advice you know was having been here you know been in this lifestyle for more than a day and haven't had a little bit of experience you can say it 25 years what would be what would you say to the people out there that are considering this starting their journey the guys in the white right the white people you know i would say best thing to do is to go come to secrets on like newbie night that's thursday night come during happy hour and you're going to be there's going to be a lot of new people that have never been before it's their first toe dipping into anything and so everybody's new and it's kind of a nice icebreaker then because we've got the drag queens playing dirty bingo out of the bar and stuff but you don't even if you're if you're afraid to sit even that close to that tight activity of even just dirty bingo you can be over in the hot tub over here but you know you'll see it and there'll be other people and where if you're in the hot tub they'll be like have you been here before you know this is our first time us too all of a sudden you've got something in common and then usually we'll have a group tour where okay everybody who's new come with us we're going to take you on a tour we take them to the nightclub we take them through the park playrooms and explain protocol and just different things like that and and answer a bunch of questions and you know it just, it kind of helps them adjust and see that it's not what they were thinking it was, you know.
Yeah. And then they're not the only newbies there. Yeah. And on Thursday night, you're going into the, like Frederick said, the playrooms and the different areas when it's not active. And not intimidating, yeah. You're getting to see it. You're getting to feel comfortable with it.
You're getting the etiqu etiquette like peter was explaining and you're not by yourself you're with other newbies there's always strength that's a great night yeah they feel like they're the only new one it's like yeah but i'll be the only new one there and everybody i'll be fresh meat everybody's good it's like no no no you're come on the newbie night there'll be plenty of people here for their first time and you're not going to be the first one and they feel more empowered, especially by the end of the tour, when they go on a group tour and see everything.
By the end of it, they've made friends with the people that they're walking with. And so then they're like, well, you want to get a drink? And then, you know, and now all of a sudden they're hanging out all night and they're in the hot tub together and things, you know. Yeah. So it kind of gets everybody into a slow energy. Yeah, I love that advice. That's really good advice.
I think another question we get a lot is uh so when when did you guys were you gonna quit we'd get that all the time when are you gonna leave we're like we don't we don't know we have no plans like they always say Thursday will, we hope so. We hope. Like, there's this couple that we met at Hedo, and they were, like, in their 90s, and they were the most precious things we've ever, like, they were adorable, and they loved each other, and I was like, I want to be them when I grow up, you know? Sure. So, like, we always get asked that. So, what's your answer to that question?
You know, we don't predict and plan, but everybody goes through but everybody goes through cycles yeah so we didn't know when we first were going and i first got her to that first new beach hall over and stuff and then took her to genie's hideaway that night you know so we didn't know but you know it starts going and then it goes through you know with girls and then guys yeah bringing and the progression the progression and then i'll then you know then you take a break from it for a while and it's not like we scheduled a break it's just all of a sudden we're so busy with other things right and then all of a sudden we're someplace and you meet a couple and that in a vanilla place and all of a sudden the next thing you know things are happening and then you start doing more again and then yeah then you're in all the way and then you, for a few years there, you just kind of ebb and flow in and out.
But we don't really plan, okay, next year, let's take a break. I know. We always laugh at that question. And then after that, we'll get back in. I don't think anyone does. No. We have 21 and above, and I've met a couple out there that was in their 80s. Yeah. And she told me, she said, you know what, everyone is just so nice and friendly. She goes, we used to be the ones, I would have been the girl dancing and doing the contest, or we'd have been in line to go into the playroom when it opened.
She said, that's not us now, but we love the atmosphere, and we love the friendly and the judgment-free. I love that. And the freedom to be. Judgment-free, freedom to be is what Barbie always says.
I always say that when i give the newbie tours because where else you go to a vanilla straight club you may sit at the bar all night and no one's going to say hello yeah but you come out here to secrets and go sit at the tiki bar people are just they're smiling they're going to say hello somebody's going to come and ask you within five minutes i tell you they're going to meet somebody yeah and it doesn't mean something's going to happen, but you're going to meet someone and just start talking. Yep, absolutely. I agree. I think this was fun. I think that's all great advice. Y'all are awesome.
