And he's been saying forever, you guys need to come to one of my parties. Yeah. And we were like, we would love to. It's hard. We've got a lot going on here lately. Well, it really, it kind of, well, let's back up a little bit. We had a free weekend without my son, which never really happens.
we very rarely are just home when we don't you know we don't have him and Daphne and Daddy Mike had reached out and was like let's go do something they wanted us to just like hang out they want us to come to their house they wanted to like do something and we had originally said let's go to trapeze because if we don't have anywhere to go we always want to go to trapeze because it's like I guess our home base club if we can get there if we don't have anything going on and we hadn't been there in quite a while and we're not going back until like mid-January so we were like perfect let's go to trapeze and then I think it was Daphne actually reached out and was like do you know that Life of Spice is playing at the Open Instincts party the same weekend and we were like no we had no idea I guess like we just didn't put two and two together like obviously we have Life of Spice's schedule and but we just didn't we didn't think about it and so then it was well do we go to trapeze do we go to life of spice we go to open instinct because we get to support our friends and then even like throughout the week i think we ended up having like i don't remember what was going on that week but we ended up having like a crazy week where we didn't know if we should even go anyway like something with my parents i don't know somebody was sick somebody was something i don't remember it's hard to it's hard to keep up with the day let alone like almost a month ago um so we almost didn't go at all but i think literally like friday we decided okay we're going right okay so before we get into the actual event and what happened there i think you know what you just touched on, since we do have some time this episode, maybe we should give a little bit of a life update on kind of how things are going with us and your parents living with us and your mom and her chemo treatments and all that.
And then your dad. Let's just talk a little bit about life. We're in the trenches. We are in the trenches. It's rough. Yeah. It's rough. It's been a rough day. It's been a rough week. Well, we jokingly called this Hell Week because, like, looking at our calendar, I knew this week was very heavy, like, busy-wise. Like, we just had a lot of appointments.
This is even even before my mom ended up being in the hospital so this is even before that but like coming in you know the last couple of weeks knowing this week was just like our rough week we had a lot of appointments my dad was having cataract surgery my son had a big doctor's appointment coming up that we had been waiting on um it was just a lot going on this week so we kind of had prepared but truthfully it was a rough week my mom um you were out of town like the first that well you left like november 6th through 11th but shortly after you left which you went to visit your mom who was also in the hospital my mom went to the hospital so we had two mothers both in the hospital at the same time both with pretty serious situation my mom um her second port has now got infected and went to her bloodstream yeah so let's just pause for a second in case this is the first episode somebody has listened to so lacy's mom was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer about it was mid-august like 11th i think august 11th so a few a few months ago um and it is stage four it's in her lymph nodes there's a little bit in her brain uh and then her lungs are were at the time at least pretty uh like infected i don't know what you say but yeah the cancer was yeah she had like a square throughout her her lungs and she had one mass on a pretty i can't remember the exact size but yeah a decent size mass on her lungs um and so you know at that time it kind of shattered our whole world um if you don't know her dad is in late stage kidney failure um and so her mother was very much his caretaker um and so obviously so obviously because of the cancer diagnosis, she's not able to take care of him.
So what ended up happening is both of them moved into our house. Um, and so Lacey has been pretty much both of their primary caretakers here for the last, you know, three, four months, three months, I guess, August, September, October. Yeah. About three months. Um, and so she takes them to all their appointments.
Um, you their food um takes care of their medicine uh all of that stuff uh and you probably average five appointments a week on average yeah i mean dad has three a week just dialysis yeah and then anything on top we had four appointments yesterday right uh and so luckily you're you know your mom is getting chemo and then she's getting what's that other treatment that she gets the immunotherapy yeah and immunotherapy she's seems like she's responded fairly well to that based on her blood work it seems like she's responding very well she's no longer on oxygen um like everything looks very we she went today and got a cat scan so we she has an appointment monday so we should know more but the doctors seem to think that she'll have really good results um the problem is though um the chemo has really like done a number on her body right so.
So the biggest issue with your mom, from my perspective, and you can say if you see something different, is the infections and stuff. So one, she's very weak and she has no immune system. And so now at this point, twice her ports where she gets chemo have become infected and then she's had to go into the hospital because some of that infection gets in her blood. She ends up septic. And then she basically has to go into the hospital, undergo a bunch of blood transfusions and then a bunch of antibiotics and stuff like that until they can get that infection under control. We've done that twice.
Remove the pore. Twice now. Yeah. Yeah. Twice. And then, so that's, that's your mom, but she's home now. Yeah. Uh, she came on Monday. She's doing well, no infection. Um, she's still on, uh, antibody, intravenous antibiotics. Um, but hopefully we get the infection thing under control. All right. So then your dad, like you said, is on dialysis. He has to go three times a week. He has a bunch of other issues.
So if you, and if you know anybody on done with diabetes, one of the problems with diabetics is if they get any injuries especially on their outer extremities it can be very hard for them to heal so he does have um some some wounds on his toes that he's dealing with um he's starting to have issues with some type of alzheimer's his memory basically um so we've had some issues with that and he's going to doctors for that he had cataracts so he had to have cataract surgery. So this is all. He also has cirrhosis of the liver. He never drank, but the, just. Being taxed from.
Yeah, diabetes, dialysis, all that stuff. It's just, yeah. So Lacey is very, very busy with that.
And then at the same time, we're trying to run like three different businesses and host parties and throw events and make three to five tick tocks a day and only fans videos and my son has got some things going on and he's having surgery too so we've been very busy uh yeah so then i went to maine on a hunting what was supposed to be a hunting trip yeah and then my mom ended up in the hospital um for an issue she was having with her intestines so yeah last was it last week you know two weeks ago yeah november's kicked our ass yeah so it's been a rough month yeah um we're getting by but are we yeah i think we're getting by but it is a struggle and it is stressful and it's hard not to when we're stressed not to get under each other's skin um it's just a lot to keep up with yeah yeah so what are your thoughts want to tell me what you're thinking lacy's crying i wasn't trying to make you cry baby nothing it's just rough i can't talk yeah it's definitely rough um but i think what talk.
Yeah, it's definitely rough. But I think what we want to do is make the best of the situation, right? Because I think, you know, we kind of all know the writing on the wall. We have limited time with your parents. So trying to, you know, I think what the challenge is for this, for both of us, and what I see is all the appointments, all the stress, all that, and try to make the best of that situation so So you do get to enjoy the time, time that you have. Yeah. I lost my sister 12 years ago to cancer and, um, it was also very rough and, um, I would do anything for one of those rough days.
One of those rough days back. So I try to remember that. Because I know that these are like limited days, you know. So I'm trying to remind myself of that.
And then I get mad at myself that i have to remind myself that you know so we take a break yeah all right we're back sorry i didn't know he was going to talk about that so i was not mentally prepared for all of that what i was trying to say is i lost my sister in 2012 she was 25 of a rare liver cancer and um i do realize that these like my mom has stage four cancer my dad is you know i mean he's 76 and you know he could live another 20 years honestly but i mean and honestly me or you could die in a car wreck tomorrow, the truth be told.
But I think with, like, a diagnosis, you, it's hard, you know, it's hard to forget. What am I trying to say? It's hard. It's in the back of your mind, I think, all the time. You know what I mean? Yeah. You just, you know, it seems more infinite. Like, you know your time is limited. Correct. Even though all our time is limited here on the earth, when you know somebody has a diagnostic, that's terminal. Yeah. And I guess I just wish for those really hard days with my sister back. In the time, they seemed awful and it was just the worst.
But now I'd do anything to have one of those worst days back with her living. So I'm just trying to, like, remember that as we kind of go through this season of life. That's all I'm saying. Sorry. That took a lot to get that out. No, I think that's important. Yeah. And I think, you know, we both need to remember that. It's just the heart. It's a lot. I don't know.
I really don't have the words to describe what our family's been through these last couple months i can't think about what we're going to go through the next couple months it's real hard to wrap your head around well it's like hard because like our life like our our business and stuff is fun so it's very hard to go from that situation to like change your mindset like we're here to have fun um i will say it's made it it's not that hard to be honest with you because by the time we get to go somewhere it's just like we're so happy to like be away no it's nice to have so terrible no no but it's right i mean what you're saying to get a little bit of a mental break here and there i think is is totally legitimate and and really necessary in a lot of ways yeah it just sounds really bad saying it you know yeah i don't want to cry the whole time but anyway so with this case with i'm trying to like transition for that yeah so this situation, we had a free night.
Yeah. Your parents were taken care of. Your son was taken care of. Everybody was home and healthy. And we had, it just so happened, it fell on a weekend where Life is Spice was DJing in Atlanta. And we were able to get away. Yeah, we were. All right.
So, let's get out of the sad part um if we can we should have done that on the back end and into the hindsight yeah maybe yeah maybe uh how do you go from that to like well this is our life now this is our life now so we do it uh we do it every well not every day but we do it once a month i guess yeah all right was taken care of, and we drove to Atlanta. Yeah, we did. So we got up that morning and left probably like 9-ish. I think we got to – we're like four hours from Atlanta, and then there's a time difference. So I think we got there like 3 o'clock in the afternoon, would you say?
Yeah, probably about that. Yeah. And we actually beat Daphne and Mike there. And they're relatively close to this hotel takeover. Yeah. Because they're like in the Atlanta area. But Atlanta, it takes like an hour to go to one side to the next, I feel like. Especially if it's during rush hour. Oh, no, it could take longer. But somehow we beat them there.
Because what ended up happening is we just reached out to our friend that runs it and we were like hey is it too late to bypass this and he was like actually I have a room I actually have a room on the party floor do you want that and we were like sure um and if you've never been to a hotel takeover being on the party floor is kind of like the place to be yeah it is unless you want to sleep yeah true true if you want to sleep you're not yeah it's hard oh or if you can't sleep with music playing me and dan can do that we can sleep with lights on music all the things some people are not that way but we can somehow we can i think it's the 21 years of being in the army i can sleep that's something that i've maintained from the army is i can sleep just about anywhere.
I don't know. I'm just a sleepy person. So anyway, so when we figured that out, we were going to stay at Daphne and Mike's house. We figured that out. We were like, y'all just come and let's just stay here so that nobody has to drive or anything like that. So anyway, we're supposed to meet them there. We beat them. So we went and visited Life of Spice in their room. We did. Because they got a new puppy. They did. So if you don't know, they did lose a dog that they've had for a while. A couple months ago, I think. Yeah. It was before Secrets. Right. It was before Eros in September.
So maybe 1st of September. Right. And they don't have children. Yeah. So their dogs are very much their much their children. So it was definitely a trying time for them. Yeah, I think she had had the dog like 17 years or something. It was an older dog, yeah. So it definitely was a hard thing for them to go through and see that. And like many people, a new puppy can help cure that. Which is really funny because she, this is like total tangent, side note, she had texted me and was like, I'm getting hair extensions. kids...
puppy can help cure that which is really funny because she this is like total tangent side note she had texted me and was like i'm getting hair extensions in like two days and i'm like oh my god that's so exciting so we're like talking about that she's like well i'm trying to do that instead of going to buy a puppy and i was like okay like that i get it i can relate that's fine and then she got the hair extensions and the puppy so i thought it was like kind of funny yeah sounds like the hair extensions alone didn't fill that boy no she needed both i get it i would probably do yeah um and she had gotten this dog like in between secrets and this and we're talking about like 15 days so it was like a brand new puppy and we got to visit and love on it.
His name is Brody. I don't know what kind of dog it is. A fluffy one? Yeah, it's a fluffy. Poodley, Shih Tzu, Schnauzer, some kind of mix. I don't think that's accurate at all, but some kind of fluffy dog. Yeah, fluffy. And so we visited with him for a while. It was nice. It was nice. We also met up with the owner. We did. And he took us for a little tour, showed us around. Quite the setup there. Yes. It's been a while since we had been to, like, just a hotel takeover. And that's... That sounds snooty. That sounds snooty. It sounds snooty. Sounds a little snooty. Well, we went to gyms.
I take that back. We did go to gyms yeah this is very similar to that nicer hotel a little bit better production but same con same concept a lot of the things that we go to now are like huge productions so it's it's nice and refreshing to go to something a little small yeah it's a little back to your roots kind of thing, right? So you're right. A lot of the swinger parties we go to are like what you call like a national party. So people are flying from across the country to go to these events. So it's not just like a local party. It's a national party.
Even like an eye candy hotel takeover, that's very much a national party. Huge production. People from from all over the country come. So this is, you know, just they do this every couple of months and it's mostly local Atlanta people. Yeah, it's the same people a lot of time. Probably people from, you know, the states right around Georgia and stuff like that. I mean, there are people that probably travel eight, ten hours to come to this party, but it's, you know, more of a local scene. It was very much like how we swung before we had a podcast and we had the platform that we do.
And so it was nice to be a part of that. Yeah. And like you said, Open Instincts, one, great hotel. Yes. Right. So of all the local hotel takeovers that we've been to, this is probably up there. I think them and Friction. Yeah. I can remember they had really good hotels.
yeah uh open instincts that hotel they have in atlanta is a very is a nicer hotel if you don't know if you've never been to a hotel takeover this is like a little tip they tend to be crappy hotels because most nice hotels don't want to rent their whole hotel to a bunch of swingers because they think they're going to trash the place.
And so it usually takes someone that's clean cut and polished, who knows how to talk, who has a good reputation to like almost, I don't want to use the word persuade, but kind of like talk someone into letting them host so they can show them that they're not going to trash their hotel and they're not. And then once you're in, you're usually pretty in. Right. As long as you, you know, behave yourself because it can't, you know, swingers are genuinely pretty great people and nice and stuff.
But anytime you throw a party at a hotel, you know, you get people to get drunk and stuff like that and anything can happen.
So, but this group has a great reputation which makes perfect sense because they're very well organized and a well ran group and um you know everybody there was great so um it is a nice hotel yeah and like you said their production you know having a stage having the dj having a bunch of you know banners and lights and um it was higher you know higher production level than what we've seen at other events their party floor they even have a custom built like snap together um kit they put in the hallway so that they can decorate the hall the party floor hallway without taping and and pinning and nailing things to the wall speaking of they have like a cash app thing on the wall where you could donate to like, so they could, I don't mean to do that.
You forgot. And I forgot, yeah. To help like to the decorations or whatever. Yeah, because like the owner doesn't do that. That's like members. Members, yeah. Like members decided they want to decorate the party floor. So they made this like PVC pipe like thing that it's even numbered like what door.
What piece goes by what door,'s yeah shout out to them like they got open instincts got very lucky having a great solid group of people around them to do that for them because that's pretty legit well i can even think you know even to our group you know like we wouldn't be able to pull off the secrets without our members yeah you think about how many people show up and help us unload the trailer yeah and help us set up all the decorations and put up all the banners and the merch tent and yeah you know there's dozens of people that come and help us do that and so you know you see you'll see this with any i can think of like the grove you know i mean we if you don't remember back to the episode, we went to the campground, the Grove, and it flooded.
It was like a torrential downpour, and the whole area where we had the club was flooded. And a bunch of local Grove members came out. They unclogged their drain. They were wading in waist-deep water. They had brooms and stuff and were pushing all the water to the drains and stuff like that.
And in a couple hours, they had what was a flooded parking lot cleaned up and looking like a legit uh nightclub yeah so definitely members of all lifestyle things make all the difference in the world and um yeah open these things definitely have some great ones yeah so after um he gave us a tour daphne and daddy mike got there and we helped them unload and then we went to dinner we went to there's like an olive garden not far from there so i went to olive garden and what was really funny is like you could tell like obviously we were from like a swinger party because like we when you go to a swinger party you usually dress different like i had on a shirt that said i love hot dads and she had on like a short shirt or something and like you had a swinging shirt on and you could just tell and there was a priest sitting next to us and we were so literally a priest came in and sat down next to us like right next to us and i can't remember i think it was daphne's like lacy walk to the bathroom and see if he checks out your ass or something she wanted to record it she was like record it and we'll make a tiktok i'm like you stupid i'm not going to hell yeah well no i mean i would totally walk by him like that's i'm not worried about hell would he have looked at your ass though that's the question i mean probably he was drinking one but i guess you could do that right i don't know the rules i don't know don't know the rules.
I feel like which denomination he was probably dictates that. He had the white collar thingy. He did, yeah. So I don't know what that means. I don't either. Okay, so we brought Lava Spice food back, and then it was time to change and get ready. So I meant to look up the theme because this is a little funny. So I looked it up, and it was like something devil i should look it up real quick but what's really funny is at icandy's halloween party which was like two weeks before this the theme one night was like something like devil, like demon, devil.
So I thought that meant you dressed up like a demon like a devil so we i was like okay damn we're gonna wear red we're gonna um wear like devil ears we're gonna be devils and like you know me and daphne she's like what are you dressing up like a devil does this devil in the title so she dressed up like devil then we got there to the halloween party at eye candy and ever they're just like people are just dressed up like halloween like trick-or-treat like all different types of costumes and i was like that's really confusing because i thought we had to be devils i thought that was a theme but i didn't think anything of it and then i can remember thinking oh our tiktok's gonna be so cute because life of spice is there and she's gonna be a devil and we're gonna be devils and we're all just gonna dress them as devils and then i told dan i was like well we should be black devils because we were red devils two weeks ago and like because we literally decided the day before so i didn't really want to go out and like buy a bunch of stuff but i'm like i have a black lingerie i have black dresses i have so i'll just wear black and then i'll run by spirit halloween and get some like black devil ears so i'm super excited that we everybody me dan daphne mike all in devil black devil outfits and we get there and life of spices did an attendo outfit i was like?
I thought this was. Her small town Spice had dressed alike. And they were like Mario, Luigi, and then like the princesses. And I was like, what the fuck? I thought you were going to wear all black. And we were going to be like. I don't know why I thought she was going to wear black. Because really it was devil. And devil's really like red. But in my mind. But she always wears black. She always wears black.
So I was really counting on her wearing black and she's like we never match you all you always match with everybody else and then i felt guilty and i'm like bitch i thought you were you always were black so i didn't have to tell you and then no you're like i thought this i thought the theme was devil so we'd all be devils and then like everybody starts showing up and they're not in devil and i'm like everybody was in halloween costumes i was like damn why isn't people wearing devil he's like it's a halloween party i was like the theme is like demons did yeah but it was like no it was like something like yeah but it was like something like devils and demons halloween party that means devils and demons that doesn't mean dress up as a rip and a princess and I don't know I was so confused I think we've laughed about this since then moral of the story I take it too literal if you go to a swinger halloween party it's just the halloween party you can wear whatever you want well but what's funny is we have tempted coming up and i'm trying to plan our outfits and i was like well i need like white fur and he's like you don't have to do that i was like well that's what the girl in the picture says and he's like tara just picked that picture you don't have to actually wear white fur it's like winter fantasy or something it's like you know it might not be exactly that but it's that something like that is the theme for friday night and lacy's like i need a white this and a white that and then the saturday is like glacier glow which is a white glow night like very specifically in the write-up it says white glow night yeah and so you're trying to pick a Friday night outfit and find something white.
And I'm like, wear a pink fucking, like, snowsuit or something. The girl has on white in the picture. And you're like, I can't. The girl on the flyer has white on. I have to wear white. And I'm like, I don't think, you don't have to match the flyer, like, down to the color. Apparently, I take theme posters way too serious.
Too literal, yeah we got off which is funny because i know that we've talked about this before and said that like oh when it comes to theme you can wear whatever the fuck you want like you can be very loose in the theme like we have said that before me picking black devil is loose to the theme. That's what I thought. I could be wrong. We got ready. Me picking black devil is loose to the theme. That's what I thought. I can be wrong. So we got ready. We made TikToks. We did all the things. And then it was time to go party. Then it was time to go party.
Okay, so now I think it's the perfect time to take a little break and hear from the partners and sponsors of the Swing Nation podcast. And then when we get back, we'll get into what happened at the party. Lacey, I try not to go to a swinger party without a little what they call lifestyle insurance. Yeah, we know if you don't go, you leave it at home, you freak out. I do panic a little bit. Well, you just found that out a few weeks ago. Yeah.
So if you don't go you leave it at home you freak out i do i do panic a little bit well you just found that out a few weeks ago yeah so if you don't know what swinger insurance or lifestyle insurance is we're talking about ed medication right so guys performance anxiety is real let me tell you i've experienced it multiple times firsthand but don't worry if you're going to a lifestyle event a party if you're going on a cruise and you want to be ready to perform and not have to worry about performance anxiety, you can get ED medication shipped straight to your door from our partners, Shameless Care.

So I know everyone hears me talk about WISC all the time and I'm sure you're all like, well, it's about boric acid and yeast infections and BV and UTIs. And listen, they do have all of those things. So they have a lot more. It's not just sexual health. They have weight loss medications like the GLP-1. They even have a new pill form of that medicine, which is super cool. They have tretinoin, which is for acne and fine lines and wrinkles. I just recently started that. So it's super cool.

all right guys welcome back welcome back thank you for listening to our sponsors we love our sponsors we do uh okay when we left you off we were just got done getting ready to head to the open instincts party yeah uh you got your outfits on you made some tiktoks with daphne and Daddy Mike. And we were headed to the ballroom. We were. It was fun. So we got there and Life of Spice, I think, was coming on or just about came on. Yeah, it was right around that time. And he did a great job, like he always says.
You could tell he was relaxed because it was a smaller type of event he seemed relaxed and like he had a good time and it was a blast yes for sure uh so what did you think of their their ballroom setup i thought it was typical of a hotel takeover i thought you know as far as production it was very professional they had a stage they had some graphics um it was i don't know it was good i liked how the the room was set up like there was a dance floor and then behind us they had made like i think a couple vip sections there seemed like there were some i think they were because they said they're seating they had some like vip almost like cabanas yeah set up kind of in the back on the sidewalls which is pretty cool i don't think i've ever seen vip cabanas in a in a lifestyle yeah no it's nice especially like if you don't have a room i mean i'm assuming if you got the vip you probably have a room too but if you didn't have a room or you maybe you like just didn't want to stay there having a having a place to put yourself is really nice.
And so I would have, you know, like, that's something that if we went to these parties every, you know, every time they had one, I would probably try to get one of those. Yeah, I bet they go fast.
If we've learned anything, it's when we do club takeovers and things like that or even, like, our secrets takeovers, theip stuff tends to go fast because everybody wants a guaranteed place to sit and put their stuff yeah and that's especially at a club that's it's hard because you don't have a hotel room that you can go back to so having somewhere to kind of put your your stuff securely is uh important in this party you could purchase alcohol from there or you could pay and then it was byob so like they gave you a separate armband and that armband let you bring in your stuff which is super cool i've never seen that before no i really like that too yeah you could just go i can't remember what the fee was 40 basically you paid like a bottle fee or whatever and then you could you could bring your own drinks which is pretty cool yeah i thought so too um but i did like that they had that bar option if you didn't want to deal with it you didn't want to have to go back to your room and stuff like that was pretty cool pretty cool uh yeah good music obviously life of spice was djing uh really good vibe a lot of people came out to this party so uh pineapples after dark um was there small town spies small town spies obviously life of spice but there was there's quite a few different um groups that kind of come together for yeah there was it was it was good to see everybody kind of like not working having fun mingling it was nice i agree i will say that one thing that i do regret about this party is we didn't really get to i think we met a lot of like people came up and said hello you know i think we got to meet a lot of people but as far as hanging out i think we need to do a better job of making new friends and i don't mean that to like discredit our our friends are probably like what's the fuck bitch yeah but i feel like they're like for instance at this party there were so many attractive fun looking couples and i think you get comfortable you get you know couple couples and it's like it's just easier to hang out with them and not yeah because you don't have to put yourself out there right so the hardest thing about meeting new people is you have to walk up to somebody that's hot and attractive and say hello my name is dan and lacy and oh nice to meet you and they might be like who the fuck are you get away from me you know so there's always like taking that step to go out and reach out to new people it's a step and so it's easier not to do that i realized this party we always say we're so busy we're working we're doing things we were not working we were not so busy and we still didn't really we talked to a few new people you talked to rip yeah his wife yeah um i mean yeah we did talk but like talk with the potential we didn't really go out of our way like we weren't actively looking for new like people to fuck no we weren't yeah and i think we need to get i think we've gotten comfortable so you want to go find some new people to fuck it's all you're saying i'm saying we could do a better job of putting ourselves out there once you get comfortable and i think this doesn't i think we blame the podcast we blame social media but i think other couples can probably relate to this you've got your same five friends five couples that you go hang out with every you know couple months and, it's easy with them and you don't have to like put yourself out there.
I think this is why some people say the lifestyle is clicky, right? Yeah. Because they go to a party and they see people are all grouped up in their little friend group and they're, they are too intimidated to approach those groups. And so they're like, oh, I went to a party and there's a bunch of people and they're all seem clicky.
But I i think in reality if you're coming from the outside and going to a party where there's all already established friends it's somewhat up on you to make those connections right to kind of go up to those groups and introduce yourself at least get it started now on the flip side if you are a one of those groups that host parties and go to the same parties over and over again and you see new people try to grab them up and introduce yourself and bring them in so that you don't have that clicky yeah uh you know kind of i guess like part of me why i i don't think about it in the moment it's not like i'm actively thinking i should do this because of this but i think in hindsight i look at it and i know that if i go back with these three couples i I'm going to have a blast.
Yeah. I'm going to come, I'm going to squirt, I'm going to like do all the fun things. If we, so that's a sure thing, but if we don't hang out with them and we like focus on this like new couple that we see over there, that's really cute, but maybe a little shy.
And then we kind of have to like approach them and put ourselves out there and then like they may not be interested or they may just you know we may spend our whole night chatting it up with them and then nothing happened nothing happens which is okay it's that is okay i don't want to come across that way but we could have had like a great time over here that we just missed that we missed out on so it's like is that i can't figure out how no i think i think that's probably what a lot of people think and it's probably why a lot of people stay with their friends groups instead of exploring outside of that because let's be honest we don't swing a lot we do it once a month you know i mean uh and then on top of that in this case where it's not our event i think when we're hosting events i feel more obligated to go around and talk to everybody yeah i do go around and introduce myself to people and try to and try to make sure people are better at that than i do time and try to facilitate you know and i'll even find people and then introduce them to our friends that we know already right and be like oh you're from where oh oh you know jimmy and john are from there over here come here let me introduce you know i try to do all that stuff at our events this wasn't our event so i felt no obligation to do that so i almost was like completely content with just hanging out with our friends and having a good time i was too right i was too this was more of me like kind of recapping the week and behind and thinking i'm like well we weren't there to work we were just there to hang out but yet we still didn't meet anyone new so at some point like we always say that's our reason but is it yeah yeah and to be fair we met more new people probably at the last secrets than we did at either eye candy or um this party but again at secrets we're trying to yeah you know we're at least i am introducing you know going around and saying hi to as many people as i possibly can where i don't feel like i have to do that at other events and but but you're right we totally should and could do that more i think that we should occasionally put ourselves in situations that we don't have our friends at all um so that way i feel they're one they're our comfort blanket you know kind of i think too i think it makes us be more in touch with people that are brand new in the lifestyle so i think that i don't know this was totally a tangent but i think this was on my mind after this it's valid and i can think that you know we think of like we went to secrets right before the bliss.
And there's been a couple times where we've gone to swimmer places, just me and you. Like, more to, like, look or, like, we're pre-working for our work. And we're, I feel like we're awkward.
I feel like we've, because we are now used to being Dan and Lacey and being in our own events where everybody knows us, when you get us outside of that environment, we were maybe not so good as we used to be yeah no we're not we used to have like game and stuff and now like it's gotten it's easy it's that bad yeah oh gosh all right okay so let's let's keep going all right so we what happened after the ballroom so okay this is i have a few criticisms of this I get why they did it but they have two So, okay, this is, I have a few criticisms of this. I get why they did it.
But they have two hotels in the same parking lot, basically. And one is the main hotel and the other is like the overflow for people that can't get a room. And what they did is put the ballroom in one hotel and the playroom in the other. And I mean, they are super close. Like, their parking lots are the same. They're in the same parking lot, basically. But you do have to... It's like 100 yards, probably, in between. Yeah, you have to go out into the other. That was awkward. We were like, can we walk outside in our lingerie? It was just kind of...
It really wasn't a big deal once you're out there. There was nobody out there.
It was just little walk across but i don't know there's no way to really do it any better but it kind of i didn't care for it now so my criticism before that and i don't know if this was really a criticism but what was it 10 30 11 o'clock we went to go change until you went to go change in lingerie so we go back to our room we refill our drinks lacey puts lingerie on i think i might have ditched some of whatever the outfit i was wearing that was uncomfortable we came back downstairs when we left to go to put clothes on that ballroom was packed i mean it was full to capacity people squeezed in there dancing partying having a good time we went up changed i will say they did change the dj life of spice yeah finished at that time and i think that's why we were changing it's like oh let's get comfortable and we'll go back and we'll dance with life of spice so we came back down and it's maybe 11 30 at this point nobody 11 15 11 30 and that ballroom was not completely empty but i think at one point it was empty and i felt bad for the dj so we all went back out and started dancing.
Now people started to come back, you know, I think we kind of got a little momentum going, but I felt bad for the DJ. So, which is so crazy because that I can't, it was like 1am, one 15. And we were like, didn't want to leave the ballroom because it was so much fun. So I can't criticize open and sing.
Hopefully people are fucking, you i mean you they did their job so you know we were down there dancing and stuff and then we saw the owners and i was like i'm like where did everybody go and they're like they went to go fuck the playroom is open and i was like at 11 o'clock and they're like yeah which is funny because at secrets you know people the uh some of the staff they're like oh you guys don't mess around like you guys are in the club at nine and then you're fucking by midnight i'm like yeah that's our group yeah well this group apparently is in the club at eight and then at 11 they're fucking and they're gone i'm down for that i could go to bed a little earlier so at some point we did dance like for that new dj and stuff and then a little bit yeah and then we we finally decided we were going to walk over and we did and we get in the playroom and it was a big room but i think it had like two or maybe four mattresses on the floor four or five yeah i think there was one group of three and like one group of two yeah um but the room was so big it kind of seemed small so i think the think the issue is.
There was no curtains. There was no. Right, yeah. Like, there was no. They had some lights and stuff. But it was just. I mean, they had done a good job with what they had. But it just seemed very open. And they had chairs around. I wasn't even upset about the openness. It was that there was, like, two people playing. And, like, a hundred. Well, maybe not a hundred, but 50 people in the room just standing around watching. Yeah, so they had the walls lined with chairs, which is good, and there was two people on the – and then nobody else. Everybody was just standing there.
I'm like – or just watching, and we're like, what?
Now, I will say what I thought was super cool, and maybe that's why people – I didn't even think about this until right now but maybe people were just watching there was a trans woman and man there um who we had spoken to earlier and i was so happy that they were there i really hope that that continues in the lifestyle we see more and more of this and i feel like things are getting better they were i don't know if they were actively playing but they were definitely on the bed maybe caressing they're playing in some fashion yeah playing in some fashion and so they were the only ones on the bed now i wanted to go play not with them but next to them i wanted like i think we that would have probably been good for the room maybe somebody needed to like break the ice and go but there was people in our group that wanted to go they weren't comfortable not with that situation just in the playroom in general they were not comfortable with the amount of people watching yes yeah and so that's that's the and i don't know i talked to somebody had said you know like earlier in the night that all the beds were packed and full but the time that we when we walked in, and this was probably around midnight, you're right.
There was only that one trans woman and a man that were in the bed. I don't think they were fucking, but they were playing with each other. Basically, everybody else in the room was just sitting around watching. For the couples that we were with, I think they were just like... It was weird. It was a weird vibe. It was intimidating to go play in front of that many people. You're basically like the only one that people are watching. You know what I mean? That's a strong hill to climb for some people, especially if you're shy or you get stage fright or performance anxiety or anything like that.
That can be hard. Yeah. And you were all about it. You're like, let's go do it.
And I'm like'm like i'm down and we kind of look around and everybody else was like no well it seemed it was okay this was a very odd play session for me um i don't know i guess because i didn't know everybody that was going to be in the room super well i kind of wanted to play like on neutral ground where if we were done we were not that we couldn't just leave their room we could um but it's just easier to excuse yourself from a playroom than it is a private room that's a little more neutral ground yeah yeah so i was more eager to play down there but we ended up going up and there was like this discussion like do we go do we stay i don't know we ended up going i really wanted to stay.
I was a little like. Bummed. Bummed. Yeah. But we did go up and it was just kind of a weird vibe. Would you agree? A little bit. Yeah. So we ended up in. And that's nothing. I don't think there's any one person that caused it. It was just, I don't know. It was something was off from me. I mean, I had a good time.
Oh, I but oh i did too i did too we made the best of it like you can have like a weird situation and still have a great time but something was a little off there so we went to a room and when we got to the room it was that um bear cat yeah couple and his wife and then they were sharing the room with another couple well they they weren't a couple though right so that's where it gets kind of confusing so if you heard us talk about rip earlier in the night there was this guy dressed up as rip and he was very good looking you know like rip such like from yellowstone it's like like such a hot topic you know everybody like home so he was like and he kind of had the glasses and he sort of he played the part well and so me and daphne had kind of been like low-key flirting with him all night like just kind of like staring at him and she daphne went up to him and asked him if he takes anybody to the train station so it was like a little funny and then i didn't i thought the woman that he there was a woman with him and it appeared to be like his wife his girlfriend i assumed it was his wife because we're a swinger in the room.
We find out. All right. So we go to the room. Let's explain that. So it's me and you, Daphne and Daddy Mike, Rip and his woman, and then Bearcat and his wife. That was initially who had went in the room. Southern Bella. And then Southern Bella and Fire Daddy came in with us. So when we come to the room, we basically knew everybody except for Rip and his girlfriend. And we had only – and we did know that that was Bearcat's really good friend. Right. From school, from something. He had known him his whole life. Right.
So from what I read, and this could be wrong, so I apologize if I get this wrong, but he knew Bearcat from they grew up together or something. They were good friends. And this was his first swinger party right but he was new to the lifestyle like that day new the day before new to the lifestyle that was his first swinger thing and the girl that he was with was a single unicorn that just happened to be there that somehow they met that day before friday night maybe or something i don't know it's something't know. And somebody asked if that was his wife.
And she was like, well, we're in a relationship. But he had met her the day before? Yeah, I don't. I didn't get it. And it seemed like there was something off there. And I don't know this lady or do I know him. Bearcat likes them. I'm sure they're wonderful people. But something seemed odd. Like she almost seemed like jealous or something. And maybe she wasn't.
I don't know because nobody was really talking it was just like so i don't know if she wasn't comfortable with him playing with everybody that was in the room i don't know if he was uncomfortable with playing with everybody in the room if he was new to lifestyle he did make some comment about i've never been in an orgy or something like that and so i didn't know that they were going to be a part of the orgy i thought they were just like in the room and then they ended up leaving right i don't know where they were so as we started getting things going they kind of were like hey we're gonna go take a walk which honestly that's totally fine fine and also i felt a little bad because it was their room so i kind of felt like we were like again another reason why the vibes were off because we were right in someone else's bed that they had to sleep and they weren't in the room consenting i mean to us using their bed you know like anyway they end up leaving and then it got good it got real good yeah we had lots of sex yeah so i started with barricade's That's not his wife.
You know that. I didn't know that. Unless they've like gotten married, but that was his girlfriend. Okay. Beyonce. Well, whoever she is, is amazing. Yes. She was missing a swimsuit. Yeah. She's, yeah, of trapeze, right? Yeah. So I started off with her. We don't get to play with him enough. No. Yeah.
Ended up with, at one point uh and then jackie at one point so i had a busy i had a busy night yeah same um i was like with mike um i was you started with bearcat yeah i started with bearcat and then mike and then uh i was still like really i wanted to fuck bearcat more but he seemed like he was like a little tapped out. I don't know. He needed water. Yeah. After he was done with you, he was like, I need some water. I would have went for like, I'm not usually around two or three girl, but I was down for him. But that was fine because Southern Bella's husband fired at him.
He was like, I'm here. I was like, I got you. Which is the first time you've played with him, right? It is.
And he did a it was so i fucked her at her birthday party yeah but i think because it was her birthday party it's kind of like all about her yeah and you didn't get a chance to fuck her husband he does a very good job of like he's very respectful and he stands back and basically have to ask him to fuck yeah you kind of but he actually asked me and i was i was very happy he did because sometimes i get a little nervous um but he has like we've been in the same playroom a bunch of times over like a year or two and that was the first time so um yeah it was it was a great experience at some point though that couple did come back in while we're still fucking i think it was at the end they came some random couple wandered in remember i think that's how it ended oh yeah so we were all fucking we're all swapping lacy was squirting i think i mean it was a hot session for like an hour or so and then at some point some random ass couple came walking in the room i don't think they knew anybody i don't think so and they can't like the guy came up and was like smelling people and stuff and it was like i forgot all about that you basically at that point were like we're out of here yeah i was like i think he like came up and like smelled your hair or something yeah i forgot all about that actually yeah and then shortly thereafter you're like i'm done peace out yeah i even think everybody else is like oh no don't go like we can like we can do another round and you're like no this is weird i'm out yeah we i don't know i don't think anybody knew who they were i mean i think we definitely made the best of it but i i don't know it was just something else was the door open like i think so i think the doors the door was open because small town spice jimmy kept walking by and um i think his wife was with life of spice and mr miss and so he was like he wanders he's a wanderer if you have one in your group you know what i'm talking about and so like my head was hanging off the bed and like i was looking up and he kept walking by i was like hey that's funny yeah um but they're not so yeah small town spice was there but they're not really playroom people they're not so she's pretty selective and shy and has a hard time saying no i think so because of those reasons she said she doesn't like going to the playroom and so we were kind of torn because they were trying to get us to go back to the room with them in life of spice oh they were yeah and then we were trying to you kissed her on the dance floor we didn't mention that i kissed life of spice on the dance floor too i was so i've been trying to play with mrs life of spice like the last four times we've seen her and have not it has not happened what's funny is she texts us this week i guess you've said that on another podcast because she texts us and she was like okay dan i owe you so she's really gonna take it's almost happened so it it almost happened at this party it almost happened at the eye candy party and then i think it almost happened to whatever party was like we've done this like three or four times now where she's like i'm gonna come to the playroom with you guys and i'm like yes i think she actually really wanted to come but he was exhausted and we talked about this on the last podcast or a couple podcasts ago that when he comes gets done from djing you're it's very rare that he then wants to go to the play and i and from me djing like twice in my life ever i kind of get it because it is draining to do that yeah but anyway uh and that's how we wrapped it up so some creepy couple came well a couple the guy the girl seemed fine but the guy came in and started like smelling people and like she's like we're done we're out uh we went back to our room yeah and we probably fucked and yeah i don't think i'm pretty sure i made you call and then went to bed and then got up and went home yeah and that was our random it was nice it's very nice when there's only like a couple hour drive instead of like a 10 hour drive.
