Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

i wish it said when people viewed you so you can tell if it's been awhile ornot

I am using multiple platforms. Samsung Galaxy 6 Chrome browser. Windows 7 Chrome , Windows 10 Internet Explorer.
I will attempt a fresh login and clear the cache on all OS. I am just confused....I am on other Sites and this feature works fine? I am aware that you are not using what they are but I'm sure a better solution has gotta be an option. I feel like we are running a BBS circa 1993. Beta testing.

We would appreciate the site improvements IF they actually worked and improved the experience AND if they didn't disable other features. The flyover stopped working and the views appear to just be random profiles. How do we know? Because when we click on some profiles that supposedly just viewed ours, they haven't been online in months.

PLEASE hire someone who knows what they are doing rather than having the same inexperienced techs hack up the site.

Flyover is great feature, time savings are a big benefit when browsing the SLS buffet :) Nice to see quickly the profile, pics, their ages, where located-living and interests at a glance to see if a match then can link up more easily.

The new who has viewed you feature, great and is available at other sites, would move this further up on the home page, use more of the initial landing page for meeting folks, versus promoting events, advertising. We understand the trade-off on those points but would like to see more member material in the middle of the page, and advertising moved off to the sides, or select if interested.

Who has viewed, as others have suggested, yes a date viewed would be good.

Nice to see the site improvements, please develop so that page load and refresh times "rock" so they are sub 1.5 seconds. That is where the user experience is key. Good luck.

Really love this new feature here. Would love to see a like or a flirt button added. Not always need to write to someone, but just need to let them know you are interested. If they look and flirt or like back, then those can proceed. Gets rid of the waiting for a reply or not getting one due to someone just can't say no.

Love the Who Viewed me feature. But can I know when they viewed us and if so, how do I enable it. Thank you. L & V

great feature , how ever it only worked for me for one day. it quit working Fri so with the holiday I'm probably out till at least Tues if they fix it then . says (no new views since re enabled ) and the original 200 deleted them selves after one day

Another place with "blind" link to other profiles is under the "Certs" tab.

All you see for each certification is a profile name, date of the cert, and the comment being left. Clicking on the name of the person leaving the comment can pulling up a profile from anywhere, and it may be nowhere near the location of the person for which the cert if describing.

For those wondering why people from far, far away may be looking at your profile, consider:

The "Recently Visited" section at the bottom of every group can generate a profile views. Unlike most other profile links with some minimal amount of information and an optional picture, the "Recently Visited" links simply lists up to 6 profile names that file have visited that group. Clicking on one of these names is a total shot in the dark, and can pull up a profile from anywhere. The interest there is simply who is visiting the group, not because they are looking for people nearby.

Others may be looking at profiles in a place far away from their stated location because they grew up there, or live there for long periods, or getting ready to move there, and they are interested wondering who is in the area.

I regularly see profiles that jump around different parts of the country. That profile may eventually appear in one location multiple times, implying they may actually live in that area but only part time. Unless they specifically mention their "hometown" location in the description, you can't always assume the location you see at the moment is where they actually live. There are people who do not maintain a fixed/permanent residence.

We like it a lot, it eliminates the constant opening of profiles and viewing so you can concentrate on contacting people who may be interested in meeting.

The number at the bottom of the pic is the number of pics they have in their profile.

When viewing profiles that viewed you in chronological order, how do I know when they viewed me ?

Can someone tell me what the number in the bottom right part of the pic of the profile that viewed me means ?

So far, the only thing that I thought was not fair was that a profile that has excluded single males from viewing them can view single male profiles but that same single male is unable to view the profile of the one that viewed them.

Our "Who viewed me" history is erased every time we log in. It happens on our Android phones and on our iPad.

Why do the people who viewed us keep getting deleted? I'll have 5 and then the next time I log on there's nothing there.

Something has to be screwy on the NEW Who's Viewed Me since I am getting loads of views from thousands of miles away - how would they even be seeing me when they are online? Seems a bit unfathomable. Normally I would be getting views from the Reno / Tahoe area - People who I can actually meet up with. The new system still needs some major tweaking!

I prefer to stay under the radar & not have people knowing that i checked their profile . It kind of presents a problem when u are just looking to see if there is any interest .
