Who Viewed Me Feature PREVIEW

<p><strong>Update 6.9.16</strong></p>

<p>Dear Members,</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been working on an update to address the issue with the profiles being periodically <strong>removed from the Who Viewed Me list</strong>.</p>

<p>The update has been applied and we believe it should resolve this issue for most members.</p>

<p>If you were affected (your Views list was previously automatically reset) and currently have the Who Viewed Me feature enabled, the following should happen:</p>

<p><strong>- Previous views which were removed from your list should be restored (this data is being backed up during the Preview period in case of accidental deletion).</strong></p>

<p><strong>- Views should no longer be automatically reset / removed throughout the day.</strong></p>

<p>Please post here if you continue to experience this or any other issues with the Who Viewed Me feature - CustomerService and TechSupport will not be able to provide assistance during this Preview.</p>

<p>We'd like to thank everyone for your overwhelmingly positive and constructive feedback.</p>

<p>Below are some of the most frequently asked questions along with answers.</p>

<p><strong>--- Support ---</strong></p>

<p><strong>If your <em>Who Viewed Me</em> setting appears to turn off automatically / when you log in</strong>, please let us know which device (phone or computer) as well as which browser and operating system you are using. Also, do you experience the same issue when using a different browser? Please post these and other relevant information here. In order to provide assistance, we need to know the configuration where the issue is being experienced.</p>

<p><strong>IMPORTANT:</strong> If using Internet Explorer, please ensure that the browser is set to load a new copy of each page every time it's visited.</p>

<p>a. In IE, go to the Tools menu > Internet Options > Settings Button > Select "Every time I visit the webpage" then click OK. This setting should be enabled before enabling or disabling Views in IE.</p>

<p>b. Microsoft Edge browser should not be used to Enable or Disable Views at this time.</p>

<p><strong>--- FAQ and Answers ---</strong></p>

<p>1. Does the Flyover (hovering over a profile) count as a View?<br />
Answer: No</p>

<p>2. If I Disable Views, will other members still see that I viewed their profiles in the past?<br />
Answer: Yes. Your profile is not deleted from other member's Views list if you disable the Views feature. However, new visits to profiles are not recorded / displayed while the Who Viewed Me feature is disabled.</p>

<p>3. How can I Opt out / Disable Views?<br />
Answer: Views can be Disabled and Re-Enabled by clicking the Settings (Gear) icon at the top right of the Who Viewed Me section.</p>

<p>4. How can I increase my profile Views?<br />
Answer: The <a href="https://www.swinglifestyle.com/forums/Successful_Swinging/Better_Profiles/forumid_1118/viewforum.cfm" target="_blank">Better Profiles forum</a> has a wealth of great ideas from other members on how to improve profiles to make them (and you) more interesting to members. Check it out.</p>

<p>5. If I view a profile 100 times during a 7 day period, how many times will my profile be listed on their Views list?<br />
Answer: 1. Repeated views from the same profile over a 7 day period will show only the original view on the list.</p>

<p>6. What's the default order for profiles listed?<br />
Answer: On the Home and View More pages, profiles are listed in the order (most recent views with profile pics first). The View More page will also include an option to sort / view profiles by the most recent whether or not the profile has a picture as well as by distance when it's completed.</p>

Hott, just disable the feature.

What if I do not want someone knowing I preview their profile ? Just because I look at their profile does not mean interested .

Personally, I've had no issues with the feature, and we block singles. We took off the block for a day and were contacted by at least 20 single dudes.. I actually enjoy our profile being viewed by people in Mi or CA or wherever, it gives me something to log on to check out when i'm bored, plus I can perv a bit ;). The site is a bit "wonky" as far as logging on or timing out, but it's part of the charm for me. I can see how others get annoyed, but swinging isn't all that serious of a topic for me to get upset about site issues. JMO obviously. :)

The who viewed me is no longer on my home page. The feature was there last night while I was using my iPad but this morning on the same device it's gone when I logged in.

We love it.

Melb - I thought the same thing. Being active in the forums would account for people from hundreds of miles away viewing our profile, BUT as NJ said, it doesn't account why some of the people viewing us haven't been on on the site in months, nor does it explain why others, who aren't active in the forums, are also getting views from hundreds of miles away.

It also doesn't explain why a SM from 400+ miles away, who's profile we've never viewed before, said I popped up on his "who viewed me" page.

Then there is the annoyance of SLS ignoring the many people that have posted in this thread reporting problems. I understand they are "working on it" but it would only take a few moments to acknowledge their members concerns and questions publicly.

Chrome on Android Phone. Incognito mode.

Rabbit, you have over 3000 posts in the forums, therefore, you put your profile out there for people from far away to see and click on. I'd never have seen your profile had it not been for the forum (Not sure if I actually clicked on it or not). So, thats part of the reason you're getting viewed by people from far away. The rest of it, IDK.

When Who Viewed you appeared I was looking forward to using it over the holiday week end , how ever it went in to a groundhog day mode on Friday!!! I had 200 views Fri they deleted themselves. it said your Views are disabled !! I found it takes two tries to re enable it and then it says no new views since you re enabled views / of course not you just re enabled it 1 second ago!!! if you sign out and back in it disables again and deletes any Views you had / repeat /repeat/ repeat , if you can get by the error occurred page in the first place !!! since this happened on Fri as it usually does nothing will be done ( or even started ) about it till Tues/ Wed if then , Great new feature SLS lol

Aaaand it magically reappeared!

Love that the views we get are mostly from people that live over 600 miles away.

Love that some of the profiles that "view" us haven't been on the site for months

Love that some guy from over 400 miles away sent me a rude/tacky email with a cock pic attached saying I viewed his profile when I absolutely did not.

Love that since this was implemented the homepage takes forever to load if it doesn't just send you to an error page.

Love that since it's inception double/triple/or more postings have become the norm.

LOVE that SLS staff have been so diligent in this thread answering questions and addressing the concerns of their members.

The feature disappeared from our profile altogether. WTF?

As suggested we did the following on an Apple iPhone 6...

Downloaded a chrome browser
Cleared cache, browsing history, etc
Logged into sls and clicked disable
Went back to main screen
The back into setting and clicked enable
Logged off SLS
Cleared cache
Every time we go into sls via chrome browser it still says it is disabled and no history is shown.

Seems likely to me this is not browser related.

It would be cool if there was a "who you've viewed" option too. That way you could avoid multiple views in case that gets documented for the couple to see. I don't want to worry about looking pervy just because I couldn't remember if we've seen them before or simply forgot if there was something of interest there. Then there are the couples we are actually just perving their pics because they're hot...

Two suggeztions; Add a View icon to give us the option of disabling the Viewed Me feature but allowing us to be selective in whom we want to be visible to. Also there's no reason to have to lose all previous Viewed Me profiles when disabling the feature.

We like the new Preview feature but we're a bit perplexed by the fact that most of the profiles that check our profile out are over 1000 miles away. This rarely happens on the other site that has this feature. We understand that some couples look at profile for potential vacation hook ups but this seems a bit odd. Is our profile being broadcasted or featured without our knowledge?

I remember this feature from years ago and I liked it then. Glad to see it is coming back. However, is there a way to show the views in increments of 10 or 20 at a time based on most recent vice just a long list of all from most recent to the earliest viewer?

Unfortunately the clearing of the cache and logging out ruling out the end user is not the solution. Guys I am happy with having the counter back at this point. Please give us that so we can have an idea our interest with keeping anonymity for the stalkers lol :)
