They’ve ignored complaints that could actually provide updates that improve the website. Where did this come from and was there a vote or a poll? I was told by admins that “many” people complained and wanted this fix. That’s pretty ambiguous. This is some dumb shit that’s going to drive people elsewhere.

Yep just cant make this up.. and NO we will not place dates on our photos.. if you want to date them on upload fine.. but we dont place dates on our photos.. already way too much META DATA imbedded in all photos..
Save space get rid of some of the non swinging forum crap or LIMIT all photo gallery size!
But its their site so carry on.. we already are making other arrangements along with many others here.

If the pics have been saved to a “historic” archive, how can we access them? Some of our originals no longer exist.
It's not so much that people dislike the changes that SLS implements, it's that they are implemented in such blindsiding ways.
A banner like that appearing for a week...
... then the appearance of (empty) historical galleries...
.. then the migration of the older pictures....
. .. then leave up a banner explaining what's happened for a few weeks.
would have come across a whole lot better than the current BOOM your older pics are just gone screw you if you don't like it method.
Okay I understand about reducing the bulk of picture by age culling. I see no way of accessing the historical files.
We had one file category that was more about our lives, art work etc that we opened to people that we had hopes for in order to flesh out who we are. Those apparently have been culled and we are wiling to rebuild that file.
The question is how??
We also had a file that was largely just a trip down memory lane. Also seems to be purged. That one was just largely for us so that we needn't keep them on our personal computers. We rarely if ever opened them to others unless they were in the party and we were all refreshing our memories.
These files , at least for us were more than sales tools to promote sexual contacts.

I'm guessing this is forthcoming and they will just appear (with our pics restored?)
