Profile Text Decoration

Why do people comment at somebody, however, they block the person so they can’t read it? I know, I know, because they’re a big fat liberal p***y. They’ll be eradicated soon enough.

Last time we updated our profile was Jan, 2020. Too bad you spend so much time seeking and spreading negativity. Obviously this site isn't working for you

No sweat! I enjoy reading the few profiles that have a bunch of color in the text, let’s us know it hasn’t been updated in 5 years.

Well, we knew the tag line can't be bold or colored any more. So fine, we took it off. But the next area couldn't be decorated either. So we canceled the edit.
If you look at our profile, we have color every where. So it's going to take some time.
But thank you for passing judgement, it's alway nice to know that somebody cares.

This option hasn’t been available for years. I get as frustrated as anybody with the performance of this site, however, complaining about not being informed of a change that happened years ago seems like complaining just to complain.

@4_real, like everything else on the site, would have been nice if ther let us know this was going the way of the dodo. We had bold header and footer, but that went away when we recently made some changes to our profile write up. If remember right, they were limiting the bold and color options to certain parts of the profile, i.e. don't make each section of your profile different colors and bold "to save on storage space". From a storage standpoint that would have taken up negligible amount of space. Meanwhile pictures the size of houses can be uploaded in full def which slow down the site dramatically. M

Would have been nice if they told us this feature is no longer available.

We're in the same boat. Our tagline is in red. We made changes to the profile and the system wouldn't let us save them so long as the red was in place.

For now, we kept the tagline and ditched the changes!

Not sure when it went away but not just for colors, bold font is not allowed either. I tried to make an edit to our writeup and it would not allow the bold, so I didn't make the changes and left as is. If you have formating, you have formating, if you don't, well then you don't. Sucks that I can't make any edits without losing the formatting. M

When did profile text decoration get cancelled and why?

Formatting is not allowed in text fields. Example - red

Back from the wilderness where I have visited one good profile with colored text. The initial word of each section was red. The single colored word was not a sentence, or a paragraph of text, it was merely an attractive, single word, perched on top of a well written paragraph. It was tasteful and tastefully used - bravo.

I still find entire sentences and complete paragraphs in color too challenging to read. And alternating paragraphs in alternating colors are simply abominable - why create such painful reading on a happy site like SLS?

OMGoodness do I dislike colored text. In the time I've been browsing I've yet to see an attractive use for it, and I believe, IMO (In My Opinion) that colored words, sentences, and paragraphs decrease readability, comprehension, or likability - that is - any amount of colored text screams " Horror Story ! "

I'll accept that I'm wrong, and I'll accept the opinions of others with exemplary colored text examples. I'd like to hear voices of others on using colored text.

Hey BigTex: It’s all laid out for you on the website and even in the help section. I doubt you get a refund in your case for something so simple to find, but anyway, here’s your silver platter.

1) Your profile name at the top tab and click account. Click stop reoccurring payments.

2) How do I delete my account? (From the FAQ section)

Your account is the same as your profile. To delete your profile, click on the "Tools" link in the left hand menu and then select "Delete Your Profile" from the Tools screen. You will have to enter the current e-mail address that is on file for that profile for security purposes. If you have recurring billing you will be prompted to stop that first.

Good morning I was trying to cancel my subscription before the 3 and it charged my card how can I get my money back and delete acct

Just realized the line break problem is just in the "Profile Modal Window" display and not in the full page profile view. Frustrating.

Would love the ability to add line breaks to our profile write ups. The test runs together, which makes it hard to read. We are trying to put forth a professional profile to attract the same.

Edit profile page, allows line breaks with just the enter key, but once you save it and view your profile it all runs together again.

Thanks if you can fix this or someone point me to a trick to make it work. I saw someones profile that had line breaks. The source showed <br> but can't make it work from the edit screen.
